I want to install a non-root modded youtube apk, and the stock one is interfering even when disabled.
Anyway to just uninstall this stock youtube app?

Ever since upgrading to 6.0 i have not been able to use snapchat. it tells me my login info is wrong i changed my password uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times. So i emailed snapchat and they sent me a email saying
Some Snapchatters using a rooted Android device may experience issues using the app. Snapchat works best on devices running original software. Rooted devices - particularly those containing exploitation software - circumvent security defenses built into the mobile device, exposing your Snapchat account to additional risk and may not be supported.
Not sure how that would be the problem i was rooted on lollipop and did not have a issue. even tried logging on my non rooted tablet and got the same issue. Anyone els have this problem?
If you have Xposed installed, you have to uninstall the Xposed FRAMEWORK. You should be able to login to Snapchat, then you can reinstall Xposed framework.

ok will try that thanks
did not seem to work for me. uninstalled xposed and have the same issue.
you have to uninstall the entire framework with the uninstaller zip, not just the app. Log into snap chat, then re-install xposed. You should remain logged in upon reboot.
So I'm no stranger to Snapchat and how it doesn't work well with Xposed. Previously I would always sign into Snapchat prior to installing Xposed and I would be able to use Snapchat just fine. However after recently installing Stang's ROM I'm not able to log in anymore, even without touching Xposed. I did some searching and apparently Snapchat is blocking all Root, not just Xposed anymore. People are now having to unroot, login to Snapchat, and then reroot to be able to use it. But given our convoluted Root situation by using the engineering Kernel, and also given the fact that Stang's ROM is prerooted, how would I go about doing this? I'm back on Stock G935U firmware for now, but I'd love to be back on Root. Any ideas?
I believe that snapchat now detects root even without xposed because I signed out and to find out I couldn't sign back in
You can use a third part Snapchat app, like Casper.io. It's not the official Snapchat app, and it doesn't have all the features of the official app, but it works rather well.
Casper works but you run the danger that they may ban you and its only for viewing other snaps since you cannot do anything with the camera option..just take boring photos
I'm considering doing this https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...de-return-to-stock-relock-bootloader-t3489110 in order to get snapchat working again, but what's not clear is whether that process wipes the phone or not (I'm assuming it does).
I was going to try the "log into a second device then backup to first" process here https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/snapchat-rooted-phones-xposed-t3283198 but it looks like that doesn't work anymore?
There's also a post deleting a certain file https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/snapchat-rooted-devices-xposed-nougat-t3483001 but I get "operation failed" inside Root Browser whenever I try to rename, move, edit permissions for the file liboemcrypto.so
Current Android Version 6.0 and I followed the root process here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3200808 using the alternate SuperSU version.
The way I have always done it is just restore a backup with TB with data. I have had problems in the past, but another way would be to find a ROM with a root on/off switch (Like a CM base where you can enable/disable in dev options), unroot, log in to Snapchat, BACK UP TO TB (and save it in 9 places in case it gets corrupted somehow), and then root once again.
Going back to stock is pretty extreme for this issue honestly. You can work around it without going through that process. The reason the xposed process you linked isn't working is because of root, not JUST because of xposed. So those people would need to disable the xposed framework, then unroot, THEN log into Snapchat. They seem to be missing a step.

What would happen if I tried SuperSU's "full unroot" function? Agree going back to stock is pretty extreme, but I also noticed I don't have the latest update, and presumably at some point I'll need to update to Nougat. There aren't any apps that I use that require root anymore.
Easiest way to use snapchat and root. Login to snapchat before rooting. Root. Do not log out of snapchat. Or you can go the magisk way with magiskSu and use magisk hide.

Hello everyone.
I locked some files back when I was not rooted and on stock rom, then I rooted by phone using a resurrection remix.
Since I am not on LG framework anymore, I can't use LG Gallery app as far as I know.
It lets me install directly or through adb, but I still can't get it to work.
I even tried installing it as a system app, but still no luck.
Does anyone know how to use LG stock apps without lg framework?
Have you tried to use APK Editor from the playstore? There are threads on how it works, but you're basically opening the APK with the app, hitting a "manifest" then saving, then installing without actually editing anything. For most of the stock apps it works, esp Gallery and Music. Let me know if you have trouble getting it to work--I'm not familiar with that ROM, but I'll try to help.
Wish I could help but Google Photos and FOTO are the best gallery apps anyway imo
Hi All, i have backed up my handset, downloaded Odin, CF-Root and image files in preparation to root the S8 to remove bloatware but i have a question before i start.
The question is that i have a banking app installed which of course will not work after the root process so can i remove the root after debloating and then reinstall the banking app.
Cheers.
I guess there's no answer to this then !?
Why not use an app disabler instead of root if you just want to disable apps? I don't think removing root is as easy as it sounds, normally you just reinstall the firmware.
you can use magisk to hide the root. it worked ony my banking apps
Magisk will hide the root (although Samsung Health still reacted but I don't use that anyway ) and SuperSU has a hide feature as well. Not sure if the SuperSU one lets you do the app-by-app hide that Magisk does.
I never had any luck with the root-hiding apps/methods. The TIAA app complained one way or another, so I gave up.
