Hello,
i have bought last month a similar Unit (OTOJETA-Android-8 on Aliexpress).
It is still not integrated completely, but i work on it.
What do you want to know?
vauxhall-opel-astra-j-cascada-2010-2012-android-8
Hi thank you for reply
I received today the HU and I cannot wait to install it
What do you mean with: is not completely integrated?
Do you know where to find a kind of step by step installation process, just to make sure I’m not going to do anything badly wrong :silly:
And finally.......what is your personal thought about those HU????????
Thank you again :laugh::laugh::laugh:

For installation instruction, you can watch on youtube (GvSAB8IKEX - Title: Astra J Einabu von Navi 900 auf Android S160).
This is a older Android Unit, but the same car.
I still need to mount the reverse cam, a amplifier for bass (sound quality is worse than the OEM) and covering
I miss some features from my old "CD 400 +" like:
- Adapter for USB and AUX
- outside Temperature is not shown
- Light dim is not possible
- Speaker is hum / buzz about the hole time
The Unit is very smooth/fast with PX5.
Can you edit the Title (like: Vauxhall / Opel Astra J / Cascada 2010-2012 Android 8 4GB PX5). To help other people to find this thread.
Today I fixed following problems:
- show outside Temperature
Settings -> CAR -> Factory settings -> Password 126 -> CanBus -> set Canbus to GM05
- USB Adapter (micro USB)

Thank you!!!!!
I just try to change the canbus to GM05 but it doesn’t appear on mine!!!!! Someone told me to use Opel but even that one is not present !!!!
I think all system in general is a bit buggy
Please let me know if you find something else!!!
And do you know if it is available any update

Hi adrianpop1990 I used 05gm as well and I notice that the temperature appeared by switching the ingnition key!!!! Finally I’m happy!!!!
Did you figure out how to switch off the unit??? At the moment when I push the power button the HU goes into stand by, but I would like to reboot it and I cannot find the way!!
Have you notice any problems with apps crashing???
Copilot is giving me problem as well as google service that in 2 occasion stoped working and froze all the system
I had a problem after the installation and need to restart the HU. I just disconnected the power from the battery after it was in standby.
There are several apps in PlayStore to reboot, but I don't know if they all need root privileges.
I have no similar app crash issues. I asked the seller of my unit for firmware updates and he will send me an update after testing it. I have MTCE version 2.75 now.
Infinity Soundsystem
Hi Guys,
i've got an Opel Astra J GTC (2011) with CD400 and want to buy an Android Radio.
But i can't find anything about compatibility with my Infinity Soundsystem.
Is the Android V5754 compatible with the Infinity?
If not, does anyone know some alternatives?
Hope someone could help me
Possible Canbus issue
Hi,
I have installed a PX5 Android 8 V5754 from Witson and have problems relating to Canbus.
1. I had a CD 400 and after installing PX5, the center console is not working. I have attached Photo_1 for your reference. The yellow box section is not working (No red light behind the volume knob) but the parking sensor and ESP button works. The AC section works and I can also see red light behind the buttons.
2. After making all the connections, I have one connector which I don't know where to put. See Photo_2. Where should this be connected?
3. I have set the CANBUS to 05_GM since my car is opel Astra J but still the center console is not working. So I can not turn off the Android head unit!!! Also on my driver's display I see a strange sign. See Photo_4.
Android 9.0 v5754
Hi Vinai, Please share if your issues has been resolved, unable to switch-off Android HU, center sound unit console controls not working. I'm having the same issues and it's being addressed. I will let you know on the progress
Middle Console not working
When your middle console isnt working correctly then you have forgotten one cable.
I had the same issue.
Search for a big block connector with one single brown cable. This block connector must be connected with a cable behind the display. The cable wich fits the block connector has a black colour with a white frame.
This will help you and solve all your problems at once

How did you get the micro USB to work?
I've got the USB module in the center console but it doesn't do anything...
I’ve got this unit in my 2015 Vauxhall Astra J VXR, usually when I put it into VXR mode the instrument cluster turns to red from white however since installing this unit it stays white when in VXR mode.
I’m presuming it’s something to do with the canbus settings however I can’t find it, anyone got any ideas?

So long time lurker here, and probably in the wrong section, if so, really sorry and please move it to the correct section if needed.
I have been using an MTCB unit ( Hui Fei Type ) In my Nissan Note, tweaked it, upgraded it to android 6 and everything worked fine. Sold the car, sold the headunit. and now I have an Nissan Qashqai J10 (2009) .
This car has an pretty nice head unit in it, with navigation and rear cam feed like the one below :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
So removing this one and replacing it with something else is something I want to avoid. After some research I had fount out there are some models that have the head unit navigation display above the traditional headunit
This gave me some new opportunities and I went ahead and bought the parts needed :
Dashboard section on ebay including the top screen
7 Inch Display from AliExpress
USB Dab+ Adapter
USB GPS receiver
Development poard to solder parts on. with the same size as the raspberry pi
12V Relay to act as switch on key ignition
12V - 5V 3A Step down to get power from the car to the development board. ( 2 pcs )
original Nissan ISO wiring harness just in case for the parts
2 push buttons ( 1 - Latching as power switch for this head unit, 1 momentary for hard reset )
FM Transmitter ... (In hindsight I do not like this idea because someone else could possible listen to it if driving close to you..., going to use the AUX on the original head unit instead )
I already had an Raspberry Pi 3 B+ lying around here and wanted to use this but found out quickly enough that is not an option because I really want to use Android 7.1+
After some looking around I have to decide what to buy next :
Alpine64 ROCK64
Alpine64 ROCKPro64
Libre Computer - AML-S905X-CC (Le Potato)
The first and the latter are roughly Raspberry Clones and therefor will fit for sure in the reserved space behind the screen. The pro version is going to be probably to big and the extra compute power is not really necessary.
I already received the dashboard part including the top screen. Sadly the screen is not functioning and has some really specific connectors so I removed the original display from the case and build the AliExpress Display in the case. it fits almost perfectly but needs an extra bezel to fill up some small gaps. (pictures will follow)
After installing Raspbian on the raspberry and some frustrations with the 7 inch display (which worked good, but the touchpanel was broken and did not detect touch 10mm from the borders all around, I'm awaiting an new one at the moment )
The up comming week i have to wait for the majority of the ordered parts and will post updates ones I get them.
Dear Sebastiano,
May I ask you if you managed to succeed with this project? I have a Nissan QQ with the same version of screen on the top of my dashboard, and I would like to replace it with an Android unit, but I'm not sure which one would fit there, and if this is possible at all, so it would be a huge help to know how your project ended.
I recently bought me a unit from Seicane and was trying to update it hoping it would fix my problem of it wont work with my A/C like I dont get any type of animation that tells me the temperature so im hoping updating it will fix it. Does anyone have any idea on where i could find an update and the process to update it and does anyone have any idea why my radio is no showing the temperature animation. When i do auto it comes on like it should, i can control the power of the fan as well but when it comes to using the knob to get it to a certain temp. thats when i start facing problems. When talking to the person that sold it to me they said i was suppose to go to canubus and manual input the A/C settings but i do not have that and the picture they have to help has a different interface than my unit reason why i feel like i need to update. Can some one please help

Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk
i faced a lot of issues with it , but in the end, it was probably just the canbus setting + the cable not connected correctly( or the board was broken not sure of that one)
Make sure the 4-pin cable is connected to the air-co part ( it comes out really easy so after you installed the head unit, make sure that the cable is still there , you should be able to feel it if it is there
after that ; you should have settings --> car settings --> factory settings
( password for that is 126 )
then go to canbus and try all the different canbus options for your honda there are.
If it works ( i noticed it immediately) you also have the outside temp listed in the right corner of the screen
here the images of my unit

2nd how to get to canbus settings ( "instellingen" = settings ( sorry, i went with my own language for this unit)
go to factory settings and type pin: 126
this is how mine is currently configured
those are all the canbus settings could find on my device
I made an account just to say Thank you so much for this post Pjottrr, I was going crazy because I bought an off brand, off brand cheap Chinese unit that has no brand what so ever. the dudes I bought it off of were talking circles when asked about the isssue. But the solution was to change the CAN BUS to 123 accord. That was the one that worked for my 03 accord dual zone climate control settings. As far as the conversion to Fahrenheit that’s easy F = C*2+30
Edit: I didn’t have to change any wires. And that wouldn’t have helped either way. My wires are white, pink, black and yellow

The reason i posted this was because in the end, the issues i faced probably only came down to the cable + correct canbus seting..... i'd tyhought i'd probably wouldn't be the only one facing this problem.
anyway, I'm glad my post helped you

Hello everyone. I received an updated Firmware directly from seicane for their head unit. This is Android 10 update for the 2/32 GB unit. Everything seems to be working great so far on unit. If you would like to try it for yourself please feel free to download and install. I'm not too tech savvy so if you have any questions I'll answer them the best I can. Thought I would share for anyone to update their own unit if possible
PLEASE BE ADVISED YOU USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I will not be held responsible for any damages done to your own unit.
Thank you!

Hi all,
I've been going through topics for the last 7 days, but with no results for my problem.
I have 2nd gen, PX3 7.1 , 2G rom android headunit, i've bought it as second hand.
Android part is working good, no issues, but i cannot get signal for OEM i-drive side or for when reversing.
When i put in reverse nothing happens (i guess there should be camera view with no-signal and PDC display, right?). This is happening from the very start, so while in my car, this never worked.
I get sound from android unit, and all of the features there work.
I-drive wheel work on android, steering wheel buttons work on android (i am able to switch sources Radio, CD, AUX via steering wheel button), also signal is sent to dashboard app (speed, door open, brake pull..)
But, when i try to go to "Car info" or pressing MENU button for 3 seconds it always displays "No Signal"
What i tried so far (in chronological order):
-tried pretty much every CarType option in factory settings menu - no luck
- removed unit's back-cover to inspect hardware (i am not very knowledgeable about electronics, but connectors seem ok visually)
- MCU update to latest - successful but no change
- ROM update to px3 7.1.1 20181124 - successful but no change
- tried again original CCC i-drive screen with original harness - everything is OK, signal is there
- Did Factory reset - successful, but no change for No signal, i am now facing with Google services stopped error every 10 seconds, i will deal with that now, i will try to update services or downgrade to 20180703
Does anybody have any idea what can cause "No Signal" issue on OEM side?
What should i look for, what connector is responsible for that part?
Can it be faulty harness? Can it be software related?
I hope someone can help me, i am really struggling to fix this (if it is possible).
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Novak

Ok, since nobody replied i will share info hopefully to help someone else.
I ve solved the problem. in my case it was Lvds connector/jack on the headunit itself. It seems that connections to the chip next to the jack were not good. Solved by removing connector and soldering new one.
The same problem
nowaq111 pls give me more information about this becamuse i ve have the same problem

In my case it was the lvds connector on the android unit. It had loose (broken) pins, so i took it to repair shop and they soldered new jack (new pins) and it is working fine ever since.

I was originally posting this response in a different thread about this same issue but I lost that thread. Since I came across yours and yours is most recent, I will post my response here.

I know this is sort of raising the Dead, and I'm dictating this so forgive any crazy autocorrect errors, but I just bought an in-dash Android operated stereo/navigation/other stuff for my service truck so I could have navigation available but also be able to check any incoming messages from clients, etc. For what it's worth, I bought it off of "Wish", and to my astonishment it's exactly what I wanted although I had to rewire the dash in my Ford because they have a unique wire harness on this thing.
ANYWAY... This thing is running Android auto although it was advertised for Android 9.1 or something. I hooked it up in my apartment to see if it was going to be a piece of trash but it worked quite well, downloaded apps, etc. Once I spent 2 hours rewiring my dash to interface with this thing, I had this same issue that is being discussed. On top of that, it was flipped vertically as well.
The factory reset option had no effect. The reset button that is supposed to provide a factory reset had no effect. I did find a software setting once I figured out what was happening to reverse the vertical flip. I went into developer options and turned on the visualize screen tap option so I could start figuring out how to get into different parts of the system while tapping in sort of a reversed mode. After I took about five runs at it I eventually found in a locked factory settings area. I switched the option and everything immediately started working correctly. This was NOT in the Android settings, it was in the factory settings for the hardware itself. I do not know what the comparable option would be on a mobile device. There must be a setting option somewhere though.
Just thought I'd share because this was driving me crazy and the only mention I've seen about it when I was searching for a solution was this thread."
I have a photo I tried to include however when I try to upload it I get a security error message. If I can find a way to upload it, I will.

You probably need to post screenshots of your device info page and firmware versions. One though is was this plug and play? or did you have to wire it? If you had to wire it perhaps the one of the power wires is not connected and the device can't keep power to the unit when you turn the car off. These things need access to power to fast boot. Mine has a setting to keep the unit on for a while after shutting car off, but that's not the fastboot option, on mine fast boot is just built in, no settings(that I've seen), which is why it may be hardware or wiring.

I guess the question is are they telling you that what you have is normal operation? Seems odd but perhaps they have no Fastboot.

Right and for the most part for most units I would agree with them, but are they saying your unit is designed to cold boot when car is turned off/on?
I'm not sure what they're trying to say I know I've been asking them since May of 2020 about it lol and nothing , I just know like 3-4 of my old androids I had the sleep option ,car settings the extra settings all them other features this one I bought it cause it said it had split screen but only one app opens the split screen which is igo but it closes as soon as I press split screen option and this one also has hdmi put in the back besides it being a 10" because I bought a SUV but it's not working like I want it to , I been thinking of changing like software/mcu I think it is idk . do you think that would be a good option to do ?
I can't speak for what custom firmware options you have, but I can tell you I have no sleep options either, what I have is a single option how long to leave unit active after accessory power is off, but no options for how long to sleep before hard power off. As I understand it most units won't hard power off for several days. I've only seen mine hard boot once when I wasn't pushing the reboot button.
