Thanks for the info, can't wait.........:good:

ROM is up guys!

Great to see here! Kudos

Anybody been able to get past the boot logo? I've tried 4 times. Always hangs on the boot logo indefinitely. Not frozen, the boot animation is cycling, it just never fully boots.

Same, I started from a flash-all factory image in both slots. Most interesting part ( to me ) is after the 4th try I flashed only the AICP zip, and not TWRP zip this time. Still wouldn't boot and when I booted back to recovery, expecting the stock recovery, but instead now I have Lineage recovery...
Seems I still have a thing or 2 to learn about this device.

+1 for Pure Nexus

I got it to boot. I tried mostly what you guys tried. What I did to get it to boot was dirty flash over my previous rom. I had rr before. Make sure you do a backup. I also took off finger prints out any security locks. Also remove any substratum themes otherwise system ui will crash. If you try it, at your own risk.
I forgot to add. I switched slots before flashing.

Don't know yet if I stay on it. I don't know if worth a try. Most roms have same stuff. I normally try for battery life and volte and wifi calling.

Can confirm that dirty flash over RR ROM does indeed allow it to boot!

Dirty flash worked like a charm..

Do you need to delete data to dirty boot? Were you still rooted with magisk installed? Thinking by about trying to over stock but wanna be prepared for the worst so have some fresh backing be up to do first. Lol

I dirty flashed, without wiping data on previous rom. I was going to try on stock but didn't want to turn on computer.

Developer Phone Unofficial Cyanogenmod CM12

I don't have a VZW N4 but do have the USC variant. I've been compiling CM12 for it the past few weeks since slayher released his source.. If you have the developer edition phone I have a build that needs tested. I don't plan to make a post in the developer section. This would be better served by a person with the phone. If someone wants to run with it I have the device chain. Before worrying about that we need to know if it even works.
The normal warnings apply, this can break your phone blah, blah, blah. I assume if you have a developer phone you aren't new to this and understand the risks.

I will try it. What baseband do i need to be on? i might wait until i get another nexus 6 tonight and set it up so i have it as a backup ready to roll lol
I will try it as well.
Couldnt get it to boot. Stuck at samsung logo. Did full wipe and it said something about kernal not being enforcing, but didnt boot.
How long did you wait. First boot may take 5 minutes. The message you are referring to is because it is a custom kernel.

We're you on NJ5 or previous build?
On mj5, and i waited maybe 2-3 mins, but no boot ani. All the cm builds ive tried before take a long time at boot ani, amd not samy logo. Will try again.
Ok yeah it should at least go to CM boot animation. I'll take a further look when I get home. Thanks for trying. Which recovery arts you using TWRP? The developer model is SM-N910V isn't it. I want be sure I have the assert right.

We all have twrp. So yeah he is probably using twrp. And yes model is correct.
Yeah tried again, no luck. Also any specific gapps? Using pa 5.0.1 micro. Will try your next build.
I have been using PA myself. I'll compile another build, will take a few hours.

New build is stuck on the Samsung Logo also.
If you don't mind could you flash again, this time before you boot flash this kernel then boot.

This will let me know if it's kernel related or something else.

Dont know if it needed to be said but incase it shows more interest in this rom rather than only one person trying the rom, this is also what i've experienced when attempting to install the rom.

Pure Nexus ROM

I installed Pure Nexus on my Nexus 6P the other day. I was using the phone as stock for the past couple of months. I'm an old user of CM mind you.
Since the last 2 days, Ive had nothing but problems with the ROM. I've got several apps that keep crashing,, namely Minimalistic Text, Camera and others. This never happened at all on stock. Even when I use Airdroid to scan the QR code, it uses the wrong camera.
Unfortunately, I've decided to flush Pure Nexus and just in the middle of flashing CM 13 and will try it in a few minutes.
I think I've given enough time for Pure Nexus, but I can't blame the apps that I'm using, as I've used them before on various ROMs on my old Nexus 4 without incident as well as on my Nexus 7.
I've tried to post in another forum thread but since I'm unable to as I haven't posted many times, the forum has driven me here instead.

the apps you are having issues with, did you restore those from a backup (i.e. Titanium Backup)? If so i'd clear the app data/cache and force close them. Typically that helps.
I've lost everything since I've put in a different ROM, but have contacted the developers of the apps of my problem. After mant apps crashing, I decided that it was futile to contact the developers as I realized it was due to the ROM and not the apps I was using, as I've used them before without problems

I guarantee you it was not due to the rom. If it was others would be reporting the same thing you are. Logs are the only way to diagnose a problem. Its a waste of time discussing anything workout logs..

I just reverted to Pure Nexus again from my backup as I can't seem to flash any other ROM. I did some logs on one app but I can only do it while the app is running and not when it's crashed. I'm unable to attach the file here but only put the text which is too long for an xda submission. I've gone through help to attach but it seems I have to make a new post and not reply to this thread. BTW I've installed CM 13 and minimalistic text works flawlessly on it, no hiccups no crashes, weird!!
When stuff like that happens to me and I feel I've tried everything I can think of, I usually make it easier on myself to run the script in Google's factory image and start new. Flash TWRP with ADB tools, format, reboot TWRP, transfer flashables, and start with that ROM from scratch with GApps. Most variables of messing up would have been avoided and chances of success should be high. Anyone else agree with that?

LOL! I've done that a few times reverting to stock and going from there. I'v had to do that in the past to get out of trouble. But seeing how I've done this countless of times over the past few years and the last phone was also a Nexus [albeit quite a change from Lollypop to Marshmallow], the rules are the same for flashing. One thing I was concerned with initially was that the vendor.img file for Pure Nexus was MMB29P but I'm on MMB29T. I don't know if that's an issue. I'm using 6.0.1 Android.
I may try it again in a few days mind you and re-flash. Will def post something if it's a positive change!!

That is because you cannot do it that way which is why you bootlooped. The CM threads speak of this numerous times. You need to RUU the US developer, then FLASH a Sprint variant ROM (like Bad Boys), then wipe and install CM which will work. The other option is to just use the developer edition with SuperCID/MID and then CM will work without flashing back to Sprint ROM's. I would go with the first option as you will gain better LTE as you wont be on Sprint's "global" connections.

PM me
Sent from my HTC 10 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Such a shame this thread went to PM. It seems like it would have been good basic information for experienced flashers whom are new to the HTC world. I came from the Galaxy S5 (SM-900R7 nTelos variant), and had been testing out LineageOS 14.1 on it (as an update to CM13, which I was building myself). This thread would have been helpful to help flash the HTC10 version. Still learning it. Quite different from the Samsungs, for sure!
would someone mind either posting in the thread or PM me back with a link or guide, step by step how to install Cyanogenmod. I have rooted a few Samsung phones before, but once I have them rooted and running stable I usually leave them alone...point being I have not rooted a phone in two years....
I'll be getting my HTC 10 Sprint phone tomorrow, so I would love a full step by step how to root, install twrp and finally how to install the ROM...BTW I used to run a ROM called liquid smooth....does that ROM still exists?
Is Cyanogenmod the best most stable ROM for the HTC 10 Sprint?
Im going to help the community as much as i can lol i'm going to start a separate thread on how to install Lineage sometime this weekend when i have time ..mind you this is my first time starting one so bare with me.
I can't seem to find the instructional thread..? I've been rooting & flashing HTC phones since the HTC 4G LTE, but this thing is a different beast entirely. I've unlocked via HTC Dev, installed unofficial TWRP 3.0.3-9, flashed the custom SU, & installed Viper (did all that from stock N). Viper is definitely super solid, but I've always preferred the CM/AOSP platform. I've wiped the internal like I've done a thousand times & flashed Lineage + gapps (arm64). the phone boots & gets to the lineage boot animation & sits there indefinitely. I let it sit for almost an hour, & obviously it wasn't going to boot.
What am I missing, guys? Any & all help will be greatly appreciated.
any ideas?

They dont have any roms built for the CDMA 10, notice there are no CM or AOSP roms in the SPrint htc 10 rom section. It probably didn't boot completely cause of a kernel mismatch.

Correct. You must be S-Off to do this. Put the .zip file, named 2PS6IMG.zip, on the root of your ext sd card, reboot to bootloader and flash it. After successfully flashing that file, you'll be able to run AOSP without issue. Like you said, download and flash. Enjoy! ?

[Discussion] Dual booting with TWRP

Hey all --
I found a discussion arising in the LOS beta thread about dual-booting with TWRP. The idea was that since our devices have separate A/B partitions for 'seamless updates', that we could potentially take advantage of this system to boot 2 separate ROMs from within TWRP.
Apparently this has been done with the original Pixel, and I found a guide here: https://ausdroid.net/2017/02/20/goo...tions-use-it-to-deliver-dual-booting-*****es/
I'm thinking of giving it a shot this weekend, but if anyone would like to giving it a go before me make sure to report your results and procedure here!

Keep in mind there is only one user partition. So both slots have to be running pretty much the same thing. You won't be able to run stock on one and a custom ROM on the other. One rooted and on not is about as far as you will get.
We went pretty far down this rabbit hole with the OG pixels and it lead no where.

Oh damn...
Still, one stock and one rooted would be kinda cool...

Now with Xposed working on 8.1, it would be great to have one slot with Xposed and its modules and the other with a passing SafetyNet.

Hmm . . in fact I WANT to have the data shared but I would like an unlocked, rooted, TWRPed, Magisked stock in say Slot A and unlocked, rooted, TWRPed, Magisked Google Beta / update in Slot B - that should work shouldn't it?
For example, today I updated to PPP2.180412.013 (and had to reinstall TWRP and Magisk) but then I found a number of apps "xxx keeps stopping" . .
So I would like to test the updates but have a quick fall-back that will work immediately and only continue to use the updated slot when I am confident everything is 100%.
That would be an extremely nice situation!
Thanks!
Phil.
Is there sufficient Interest in a Guide on how to do Dual Boot and discussion there to ?
