CRB7 Bluetooth Delay - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

Hello,
Coming from the CRAP build on my 955FD. The new CRB7 build is causing my car Bluetooth to suddenly stop and then resume audio but with a significant delay. It did not do this in CRAP. I am rooted and am looking for any way to fix this issue. Everything else works. I tried to downgrade but I believe we cannot downgrade galaxy phone anymore (odin stuck). Any advice would be very helpful.

What about try freshly pair your phone with car ?
Also try delete cache from stock recovery (or twrp, base on what rec. you have)

Actually formatted my cars head unit and re added the phone. Deleting the cache doesn't help either.

Because I came from ZRA5 to CRB7 with no_wipe , and I dont have any problems with car BT audio.
I dont think anyone will have other response than backup your data and do a factory reset :/

Well atleast it pairs, i cant connect to bt earbuds at all. Tried with a set of a friend aswell and the result was the same.
Atleast my usb c earbuds are finally working properly.

Actually found out my radar was causing the issue with bluetooth delay. Weird.

Problem with Bluetooth paring on CM6 and CM7

Hi,
I've been trying to use CM6 and CM7 but with both versions I run into Bluetooth pairing issues. The main problem is seen when trying to pair from my phone to my car. I get asked to enter a pin (that has been displayed by the car), but only get a few seconds to do so before I get an error message displayed. I've tried various kernels (same problem), and I'm using the latest radio rom. Things seem to be fine with stock 2.1 and with wildpuzzle. When flashing the roms I'be made sure I clear the cache, the dalvik cache and reset to default. Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks
Andy
Hi Andy,
Did you ever get a fix for this? I am having a similar issue, however my device does not give me a prompt at all for the bluetooth passkey.
Thanks,
Jessica
Use bluetooth file transfer from market. It works
Didn't work for me, still looking for a way round this.

Bluetooth Auto Connect Problem

I need to re-pair my plantronics bluetooth headset every time i want to connect to my phone. it doesnt auto connect furthermore it doesnt connect when i tap on its name in bluetooth settings. i need to pair it each time i want to use it. It was normal 2 days ago. And the headset works normal i tried with other phones. I formatted persist and firmware with new clockwork mod recovery i wonder if it is because of that. I tried several roms including the flashing stock 4.3 JWR image from googles site with flashboot. but the problem persists no matter what i do. Please help me it is driving me crazy.
Nevermind I solved the problem by doing the things in this post

No audio after MCU update - Capacitive Android Headunit

Capacitive SC GPS Navi Android 4.4 2
I was recommended by the vendor to do a system update to 4.4.4 and to update the MCU aswell. He provided the files. After I updated the MCU I immediately lost all audio. I cannot hear music, cannot hear GPS, cannot hear DVD's. Adjusting volume does nothing. I disconnected the head unit from power to reset it but did not help. I then performed a factory reset and to my surprise this also did not help.
What happened and how can I fix?

Have you tried wiping the dalvik cache partition?
did you play with the unit Hardware ? because it happen to me and I forgot to connect one of the cables. so you check that.
also if you are sure 100% that the problem from Software , so try the following:
1) Go to Bluetooth and connect your phone and make call check the sound is it working or not.
2) Go to Factory settings and check every option carefully try to play with it.
3) Last solution try to find the Original MCU ( maybe by contact the manufacturing ) or try to find MCU version that is 100% compatible with yours.

Speaker, WiFi and Bluetooth not working

Please I need your help guys.
My OnePlus2 recently started behaving weird. The Bluetooth, WiFi and External speaker just stopped working for no apparent reason. Every other thing is working. 3G works just fine. I am able to make calls through the normal speaker (i.e. by putting the phone to the ear), but if I decide to switch the calls to the loudspeaker, I can't hear anything. Also, if I play music to the external speaker I can't hear anything unless I connect a wired earphone through the jack. When I try to turn ON the Bluetooth and Wifi, they just turn themselves back OFF, so they have become useless.
Please has anyone experienced anything like these before; if yes, please how did you solve it.

Not too sure about the External Speaker issue, but generally whenever I get Bluetooth and WiFi issues exactly like yours in the past - a reset solved the problem.
But I only ever had issues like that if I'm using a Custom ROM.....
Is your 1+2 using OxygenOS by any chance?

Thank you for your help.
What I mean by the External Speaker is the speaker at the bottom of the phone next to the charging port that enable you listen to the audio, either call or music, without putting the phone to your ear.
Yes, I am on the stock Oxygen 2.1.0. I have also restarted and wipe data and cache more than five times but nothing different has happened so far.
Ahh so the loudspeaker is faulty? The loudspeaker and the wireless module are quite separate hardware, so we've got to hope that it's a software fault - rather than both multiple prices of hardware being faulty.
At this stage do a nandroid backup, then Clean Install OxygenOS 2.2.0. If that doesn't solve the issue, just let us know. (If you need specific instructions on how to do the nandroid backup & clean install, just let us know as well).

Thanks for your support.
I did a nandroid backup as advised and I downloaded and clean install the Oxygen 2.2.0.
The situation didn't change. Its as if the modules are just not present.
For example, when I try to activate the WiFi or Bluetooth, they are animate as if to turn ON; but after a couple of minutes it simply turn back OFF and grey-out.
I even installed the unofficial CM 13 hoping this might solve the problem, but it remains the same.
Do you think this may in any way be connected with the kernel?

Hmm no it shouldn't since you clean installed OOS (that should have flashed the stock kernel too).
Give it a try anyway, try flashing @Lord Boeffla kernel for OOS http://www.boeffla-kernel.de/
Just make sure you download the .md5 as well (ensure the download isn't corrupted).
If that fails, try the stock kernel as well http://boeffla.df-kunde.de/oneplus2/stock-kernel/.
If the above doesn't happen, can you do this check for me?
Shake the phone, tap the phone on a desk (aim around the sim card area), be gentle though, all we need is to ascertain if the signal flex cable is loose.....
Once you shaked and tapped the phone, check if the wifi/bluetooth is working? (if not, give it a reset and try again).....

I have done the suggested steps.
The phone remains the same.
Please see attached the screen shots.
It looks as if these modules/chips just went dead

For your speakerphone issue, I can bet it is related to the modem/ radio.
Please update to the latest modem/ radio (via fastboot) for your device.
Then test calling again and report back.
Note that this issue and solution is not specific to Oneplus. It is applicable to CM 13 on all devices across manufacturers.
Hit the 'Thanks' button if this solution works for you.

Hi Isadeiza, try this modem first (its the 'modem' for MM which might solve the issue finally). https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24415232478675280.
Also try dirty flashing it first, if that doesn't work... Take nandroid then Clean flashing it.
What OxygenOS are you in now btw? As of right now we're up to 2.2.1....

Thank you @localjunkie549.
I have tried installing the modem and bluetooth files in the downloaded file in the link.
I am afraid the phone response remains the same.
I even tried installing the new OxygenOS 3.0, still the same.
Speaker working Now. But BT and WiFi still down.

Hi guys, thank you all for your support.
After a long time, my experience are as below.
After upgrading to OxygenOS 3.0, the behavior of the phone did not change. No sound from loudspeaker, no Bluetooth and no WiFi.
Well I stopped using it until my other phone started heating up so I came back to the OnePlus Two again. One day, I was surprised when the phone started ringing loudly as someone called my line. It worked for about 3 - 4 hours and stopped again. After about 5 days, it came up again for some 4 hours and stopped working again. It does this for over 6 cycles and about 3 days ago it kept working without stopping since.
So I am still observing it for the past three days and it seems to have repented, holding my hopes up high that it will continue to work without hitches again; though I cannot say now what happened, why it stopped working and why it started working now.
The problem of the Bluetooth and WiFi still persist and I still can't use the BT and WiFi. It just behave as if the modules are not present. My fingers crossed expecting them to "miraculously" come back to functional state just as the loudspeaker did on its own.
Thank you all guys for your support.

[HELP] Samsung S5 [SM-G900M] Sound issues after latest Marshamallow 6.0.1 update

Hi!
After the latest Marshmallow Update 6.0.1 I'm facing some sound related problems. My phone doesn't recognize the headphone/earphones when connected.
During calls, when I plug the conector, the icon of headphone doesn't appear in the upper side and the sound still being release from speakers.
After some google research, several users of several phone brands reported the same issue. I installed SoundAbout app to test and worked fine, except for the calls.
I'm using official stock ROM and tried to several reboots, wipe cache, factory reset and nothing happened.
Could someone please help me?
Thanks and regards!
And the saga continues...
UPDATE:
- Rolled back to firmware 5.0 and the issue continues.
- Forced new update through OTA, issue still happening.
I have a guess that this new firmware update changed the headphone/earphone hardware driver, so even with several actions the problem wasn't fixed.

Hey guys... Any news?
Even in safe mode, Android doesnt recognize the earphone/headphone connected...
I downgraded version, updated through OTA... updated all security patches and nothing...
Your hardware is probably broken, you should try replacing connector in the phone,
I've had similar issues. headphones work but the wired remote controls don't and the sound is like its under water. Music is all messed up like it's being really heavily processed. through the speaker it's fine. Calls and music are all the same through headphones. Tried different headphones!
Stock Marshmallow firmware, tried re-flash and factory default.

I tested with different earphones/headphones... and the same problem happened. At first, I thought it could be an hardware problem... but with SoundAbout I could use the phones to listen music... now the problem is only with the mic.
Change the audio connector is not an option, since its too risky opening the board and it will make me lose the "water protection" not talking about the costs...
I'm still thinking it's a software problem, Today I'll try to perform a clean re-flash the marshmallow firmware factory dfault and see what happens...
