Well it's not a s8 it's a note 10+ it comes on just can't seem to get it in recovery or download mode for some reason.
When I plug it in the computer all it does is show that it's charging I used multiple cables but nothing
No button combinations work
No plug in the computer while I press any button works
I discharged it multiple times recharged it and still nothing
Nothing works
So I came here looking for a schematic on a jig but I couldn't find any

1. Is the jig the only option at this point?
2. If it is and I fail with it, what upcoming dual core phone would you suggest?
Nope...pull the battery, connect your usb to pc, hold the volume buttons down, connect the usb to phone, put the battery in & you should be in download mode, then odin

I tried this several times but always pushed the power button as well. Just tried it again following exactly your directions and it worked. If you are ever in the northern part of Minnesota and want lunch it's on me.
No problem....mine has always been that way to and I bricked mine where it had no power no anything and tried it and it went right to download mode.
Glad you got it working..

Assuming your doing it the correct way.. Place your finger on he home key, then volume down, (don't press yet) then find the power key.. Press all 3 at the same time, once the screen lights up, let go of the power button..
M,
connect your tab to your pc and run
adb reboot recovery
if that works, ONLY perform a wipe cache function
and then reboot
There are numerous tutorials on XDA for setting up adb.
It is possible to render your device inoperable by having too many background processe running.
if you can get it rebooted consider removing some of the more "expensive" apps or find an auto start auto run killer that works for you.

this will sound goofy, but, make yourself comfortable and hold down just the power button for as long as you can.
and make sure you actually pressing it , some times fingernails get in the way and the button doesn't actually get pressed.
you are trying to get it to cycle on and off, if you can hold the button down for ten minutes then do it.

I've seen a few people with this problem for the Tab S. From what I heard it caused by the Tab being locked up and not being able to turn on or boot even with full charged battery.
So the two options/solutions I have seen are
1.wait a week or two until it drains and press power or charge it after that time and see if it does something(may not always work since it takes ages in this case)
2. Take apart the Tab and unplug and plug back in the battery connector (very dangerous if you don't know what your doing)
3. Take it to samsung and say you were updating through kies and it did this
Just don't charge it as I am hoping the Tab needs the battery drained.

If your still under warranty, contact Samsung and you might get lucky and get a functioning refurb..

Can you clarify: does your phone still show any sign of life or are both screens always static/black? Have you tried putting it in download/fastboot mode or in recovery mode?

Well that sounds like broken hardware to me. But who knows, maybe it can come back to life. I think I have the same with my other device, and I've been waiting for half a year now for it to come back to life after it suddenly just stopped working when i plugged it into a bad usb port, but it's still dead, even after trying with another battery.

Well a reset pin would not do it. But they should have some better circuitry protection in my opinion. The usb port that I connected my yotaphone to turned out to be turning off and on very quickly and who knows what more it was doing wrong, but still, other phones were connected too and did not die.

Turning on device without power button

Hi all!
My device’s power button is misfunctioning, and in the future my phone will probably run out of battery.
Thus, I need to find a way to turn on my device without using the power button.
I have read a lot, and I think that there are 3 ways of doing so:
Using Samsung 300K Tool (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/how-to/samsung-300k-tool-t3847487) – This option is not working for me, the software doesn’t read my phone.
Entering Download Mode – It is supposed that when pressing Volume Down + Home + Pluging in the phone, it will enter Download Mode, but I have been unable of doing so.
Using ADB – When the phone is off, the device doesn’t appear in the list when typing adb devices.
I think that is a driver problem, but I have installed the drivers from here (https://samsungusbdriver.com/download/samsung-driver-v1-7-11-0) and when the phone is turned on, ADB recognizes the phone perfectly, it is listed as “device”. I suppose that the driver problem is only when the device is off, because when I plug the phone turned off, windows throws a message saying “USB device not recognized. The last USB you connected malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it”. I have tried to install manually the drivers, but it said “You have the best drivers already installed”. Also, I have enabled USB Debugging.
Does anyone can help me? Maybe I’m missing something (some configuration parameter or whatever) that prevents the PC to recognize the phone when it is turned off?
Thank you very much in advance!!!
If the phone is off ADB can't work, that's not a driver problem.

Unable to boot in to download mode?

I bricked my phone trying to install android 11 gsi the phone cannot boot i can even say if it is charging while charging. I tried every method like volume up down and connect to pc , all button click +connect to pc releasing the power button. While pressing all button it boots to the logo and turns off even after connecting to the pc device is a205f. Its just boot to the logo and turn off.

To go to download mode
Normal method
1. Turn off phone
2. Hold down both volume keys
3. Plug in computer
Bootlooping
1. Plug in to computer
2. Hold down both volume keys
For a difficult phone
1. Connect usb to computer but not to phone
2. Hold down all 3 keys
3. When it buzzes release power and quickly plug in usb to phone.
It might take a few times to get it right.
If it's REALLY BAD
1. Wait for the battery to completely run down and use normal method.

Thanks for writing this method. I see it has been working for many others with some tweaks.
I have been following your method for past hour now but cannot seem to quite get it.
As soon as the phone vibrates, I release the power key, and plug in the cable connected to my PC, while still holding other 2 keys.
It should go to bootloader mode, but after Samsung logo, a screen shows up as attached. I have tried almost every combination after that screen. Any idea what to do next. OR maybe the screen should never show up.
Thank you for reading.
Edit: Fixed using this thread.
Held down three buttons till the device vibrated and Samsung logo showed up.
Kept holding three buttons until the screen blinked once to show the Samsung logo again. it is very small blink, look out for it.
Then released the power button only and plugged in the cable connected to PC.
Hope this helps.
