hi guys, today i'll install a custom ROM on my MI A1..
i've flashed Nougat official ROM with MIflash and the command flash_all (so with internal storage too)..
but now my phone still on fastboot mode and miflash is stucked at "fastboot -s (serial num) set active_a" from 1707s
why this happenned? unlocked bootloader with oem unlock, never had a problem like that with MIflash and i don't know how to continue....
I had this problem too with nougat, you can write in CMD this commands:
fastboot set_active a
fastboot reboot
Or just reboot your phone. It's a problem with miflash and nougat rom
You can view the same problem here

ok, so i wanted to try Cyanogenmod 7.
i followed the steps:
1- rooted the device
2- downgraded to Froyo firmware
3- installed Cyanogenmod 7.20.
all worked fine for almost one week until i updated rom manager from the market.
since the the device led flickers in green and orange. I can get into clockworkmod recovery menu but it lasts for a few seconds and disappears. it appears again and so on.
adb devices returns:
List of devices attached
SH0BHRT09137 recovery
but because it's not stable the same command doesn't return any devices few seconds later.
what shall i do now ?
steps one and two i assume are switched around, try booting into fastboot
if your hboot is still stable you may have more luck here
fastboot works in similar ways as adb - so fastboot devices
if you see yours
then wipe and flash a new recovery via fastboot
fastboot -w
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot
(replace recovery.img with whatever name you give that recovery image)

Thanks for the info. after i installed fastboot and ran "fastboot devices" i don't get any devices.
are you in fastboot mode within hboot? does your phone say fastboot usb?
write down everything on your phone when you boot into bootloader

strange enough "adb reboot" go the device working ! not sure why it was stuck at ClockMod.
hope this thread help somebody later.
So I tried to install the nougat update, but my phone, which has been booting to fastboot ever since I messed around a little with it on RSD Lite, will not turn all the way off and the Nougat update fails. I have tried several times. My bootloader is locked and I am running completely stock with the ads. It shows up in the boot logs as "fastboot reason: utag bootmode configured as fastboot" . Anyway to fix this so I can upgrade to nougat? Thank you.
enter into fastboot mode and run this
Code:
mfastboot oem fb_mode_clear
mfastboot reboot

Thank you so much. That fixed the problem!
Where did you find the nougat update ,my xt1625 prime is bricked and I need that to try unbrick it .
If anyone else reads this; I had the issue and I just selected reboot recovery so I could manually tell the phone to apply the update. When it booted into recovery, it actually continued to install it automatically.
Does anyone have a backup of boot and recovery images for nougat xt1625 amazon?

Does this command have to be run from a specific directory?
'mfastboot' is not recognized as an internal or external command.
Thanks

You have to open the cmd in the folder where you have the fastboot and run fastboot or mfastboot depend or which version you r using .

i got stuck in boot loop while flashing stock rom with mi flash tool.
i forgot to backup. i am on partition b. help me to get back on partition a
:crying::crying::crying::crying:
Command on PC should be:
"fastboot set_active a" or "fastboot set_active b"
To check your current slot type:
fastboot getvar current-slot
If you are flashing via Mi Flash and don't disturb the process in the middle, the slot doesn't really matter. Because Mi flash will flash both slots with same version during the process.
i can't unlock mi a1 bootloader :crying:

The only solution that worked for was to flash stock 7.8.23 rom with miflash by connecting my phone in EDL mode and as I was still in bootloop I remembered that on nougat the command oem unlock could be done ... But when I finally managed to recover an operating system my imei was gone to zero 0 ... I was able to solve with software QST 2.7 and restore my IMEI ... A month of galère lol

I had the same problem, but I've got a low-level backup made with cosmicdan's tool and It restored everything.

Hi! My goal is to install twrp recovery on my Oneplus 6t but when i flash it with the command fastboot flash boot twrp.img it does just boot into fastboot mode and the OS is deleted. i can’t use the command fastboot flash recovery twrp.img because i believe i have an A/B Partitioned device because everytime i use this command it says soemthing like: can’t find recovery_a. I can‘t use the command fastboot boot twrp.img because everytime i use this command the phone is stuck on the fastboot splash screen. I need help!
You should flash a fastboot rom of your device to fix this problem
The command is fastboot boot twrp.img. You can only boot it not flash it from fastboot. Once In twrp you can make it permanent in the settings
