Hello, please have a look at this similar problem mentioned in that thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/help/phone-shuts-notifications-t3700167
Your best choice is to backup everything and wipe system and data partition and install viperos again without any mod or 3rd party app. Then check if it's happening again.
A better battery stats dump can also help to identify Roque processes that heating the phone while running in background.
Otherwise stock rom can maybe a test too.

Thanks

I'm on stock nougat, rooted device with elementalx kernel. I was facing random switch off's mostly on incoming calls on both custom and stock roms (Tried many oreo roms multiple times). After reverting back to stock I noticed whenever I flash gapps package I am experiencing such issues. To confirm this theory I didn't flash gapps package this time and haven't noticed any problem since then. Maybe problem persist due to flashing of gapps in my case. Hit like if this helps.

so i should re-install my roms and then not flash gapps for ****ty overheating and ''slow charging'' issue?

I guess I'm in the minority too, but why is that a bad thing? Couldn't you freeze the system Gapps, then install them anew? Seems like a good method to make your system Gapps systemless.

Yeah, I did it to avoid individually installing each g-app cause I'm lazy af. I like some google apps which aren't available pre-installed on stock so it's not weird if I do that.

Yes, cause I experienced this problem on custom ROM too. You can use nano gapps and install other apps separately. That doesn't cause problem to me.

I tried to remove apps by this method and my phone started to crash, aroma package was good deal cause I'm lazy to freeze and reinstall each package.

[ROM] [OPX PORT] [Oxygen OS] [3.1.0]

Hi folks,
It seems that a dev from the Oneplus forum, PMehra, managed to get OOS 3.1.0 working on our beloved OPO
He also made a OPX H2OS v2 port, though the official one is out.
Actually there are two OOS 3 ports that was made by two different dev (the other one is on Oneplus chinese forum) at the same time (almost) !
These are ports from the OPX 3.1.0 update dated of 08/18.
I've only tested the PMehra OOS 3 port.
What's working :
Almost everything is working, including NFC
Known bugs :
Mobile network take little bit more time (actually, it's insignificant), switch flight mode on & off after boot. Expected to improve in next update.
Longpress actions doesn't work on any button. Expected to be fixed in next update.
When the software buttons are turned on, the hardware buttons stay active and can also be used. So stay with HW buttons for now.
You can't change priority/no notifications due to there being no alert slider.
Download app fc
Storage->explore->doesnt do anything
Storage->other-> settings fcs
Changelogs :
Soon
How to flash :
Reboot to recovery
Make a nandroid backup
Wipe cache/dalvik/data/system partitions
Flash the zip
Reboot and enjoy !
If you want to install another rom after this one, you have to flash a marshmallow modem from this thread before, or you'll be stuck at boot logo.
Gapps are included into the rom.
Downloads :
Mega folder with full rom and OTA.
Full rom on Google drive.
Don't worry if winrar say that the .zip is corrupt, it work anyway.
Root :
Flash these two .zip in this order :
Magisk V6
Magisk Super Su 2.76
Custom Kernels :
You can use a H2OS or OPX kernel on this rom, though no OPX kernel has been updated to OOS 3 yet because Oneplus didn't release any sources, as the original update isn't official, but just a community build.
Quick review :
Use it for few hours now, and everything work well, it's smooth like butter
The camera app is the stock OOSone, and it don't support 4K recording, but the manual mode work well, and the "HQ" mode delivers nice shots.
Battery is good : about 4-5 hours SOT on average.
There is no slow charging issue.
Here a video of the installation and quick review of the rom thanks to @acervenky :

Well a lot of you might accuse me of living in a cave but will still go ahead and ask my question
Apart from the camera quality what are the other benefits of using this ROM over say a cm or other stock roms? I am currently on hydrogen ROM purely for the sake of trying a new look.

Hardware buttons buggy
There's a few bugs with the hardware buttons that I've come across. Firstly being that no long press/double tap gestures work, and secondly when the software buttons are turned on the hardware buttons stay active and can also be used. While they're only minor bugs, they can be a bit annoying to deal with
---------- Post added at 01:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:17 PM ----------
Also, another bug is that you can't change priority/no notifications due to there being no alert slider. Will edit this post if I find any other bugs.

Every room with Google apps has this option, lol. Obviously you need the right gapps package but it's a Google feature, this isn't face unlock by OnePlus. That will most likely never be in any ROM.

Then that's a ROM bug or they are not enabling it, but in reality it is not related to the ROM whatsoever as far as a feature and has nothing to do with OOS. It is a Google feature, which is why it is available through smart Lock and Google play services.

Flash 15.2 and then let it upgrade to 15.3 through the app.
Morning, sorry to disturb, but as you guys are talking about my build:
1. OTG works, yes, it needs a setting in BoardConfig that is NOT in this build. (Maybe because this is a beta build from me?)
2. FacLock is a OnePlus option and is of course NOT in the ROM. The Google Face Detection works fine.
3. This build is "old" as we merged a whole lot more and if I have time, I will build again tonight.
4. Flashing Nano or Pico GApps is a foolish thing to do, as this device is totally able to flash Aroma, which I did.
5. Magisk 15.3 works absolutely fine.
As a last note: @ganeshbiyer can you please close this and stop a thread about my build? - Thanks from the AICP Team. You can all download the regular builds, when we have pushed the device tree.
Please close this thread.

Installed this yesterday, pretty happy with the premise and experience so far. I just want custom stock rom, slightly debloated and latest updates. Battery is already better than the previous Oreo build I tried. Only really lose gcam, differences in Oreo don't really seem that great.
Is this the best close to stock option out there? Was surprised no developer thread.

You're probably failing safety net. Get a safety net checker and see what the result is. You'd probably have to use magisk and magisk hide to see it. Other option is to just download the apk from apkmirror and install manually.

How difficult would it be to create a debloated version of NPNS25.137-93-10? That is the version on my phone (RETUS) and I love it overall, but can't stand the bloat. I have Froze those apps that I don't need or use but it would be nice to remove them. I don't care for most of the apps that supposedly remove system apps for you because they are usually full of ads and often screw things up for me. Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to debloat it?

Wipe Cache/Dalvik, System and Data and flash the ROM you want.
I know the builds are automated, but I've been tryin builds occasionally, and the minimum CPU frequency is always stuck at 1689 mHz. Does anyone have a fix? I really want to get rid of Google without compromising too much but the ROM is unusable with all that battery drain.
