Hi XDA!!
Today I am reporting quite an annoying bug in the Xposed Framework... enabling the framework shuts down WIFI and prevents toggling it (the switch is always grey)...
already it took a lot of pluck when I decided to sacrifice S Health in my Galaxy S5 SM-G900H for the sake of using Xposed as it made S health crash on start... Now it even hates my WIFI...
This issue has become persistent and has forced me to uninstall Xposed from my device...
I would seriously appreciate and co-operate with all replies that are useful... I expect and hope to get help here...
Xposed is one of the best things to happen to Android customization and I wish to use it to its full potential... Please be kind enough to help me...
I'm using the latest LP nightly (3/27/15) and have had problems RECEIVING texts only since about the 3/19 build. Sending them works out fine, and I do eventually get the texts either later in the day or when I reboot the phone. I do use Textra, but seems irrelevant, as the stock google messaging app isn't receiving them in a timely fashion either. I'm on a Google Nexus 5 (hammerhead). I do notice upon boot and intermittently the warning at "unfortunately com.phone.android has stopped". Wondering if this is related. I WAS using ElementalX kernel for a bit, and thought that might be the problem. So this morning I flashed the nightly without flashing the custom kernel. Still the same problem. I also use Xposed framework, however left that off as well just for a test. Same results. Is this a known bug? Any other information that I could provide to help?
In case a list of the xposed modules I use would be helpful, here they are.

Been a long time Pacrom user and don't wanna give up on this rom as it's always been dependable, feature packed and the best in terms of battery life. Thanks for any help in advance.
EDIT: Also, for further clarification, I do have multirom with CM12 as my secondary rom. The texts are coming in fine there. Hence why I'm convinced it's a problem with the rom and not my carrier or hardware.
Hi,
Just picked up a Moto G4. Came from a S4 with KK, so MM is fairly new to me (have brief experience with LP). I use Chompsms because it automatically turns data on/off to receive/send mms...however, I've found that feature doesn't work any more since LP (Google removed the API to allow 3rd party apps to control data toggles).
I had LP briefly on my S4 but didn't like the battery life so went back to KK. However, when I was on LP, my Wanam module had a feature that forced the data on/off for mms, so all was right with the world. Unfortunately, Wanam doesn't work on the G4. Is there another module that will do what I want?
Thanks
P.S. Thought of something else...I'm using Tracfone AT&T service. The lockscreen displays "Home". Any way for it to correctly display "AT&T"?
I get it to install but it doesn't work. Doesn't change anything in my headphones and driver status says unsupported format, and abnormal status.
Oh I got it working!! I couldn't get one of the versions working but the Magisk module - "ViPER4Android FX for Magisk v15" from ShadySquirrel does in fact work. With the Essential Phone having USB c headphone jack I had to set "Lock Effect Mode" to USB/Dock. I also had to flash "Universal deep_buffer Remover" module to enable Youtube streams to work with these settings enabled!! Hope this helps someone. I really just needed this working to turn up the volume of the output for outputting to my car stereo, but there's so many other cool features as well.
Awesome, I'll give this a try later. Any significant battery drain to report?
Edit: just followed the same steps and can confirm that viper is processing! Way to go!

Great! Yeah I haven't noticed any extra battery drain.

That's just Google trying to control everything. Viper 4 Android doesn't damage your device unless maybe you blast the phone's speaker on highest volume all the time

That's because some versions of Viper4Android can change SE Linux to permissive which weakens security. Google has been getting aggressive about stopping people from doing that without explicitly blocking it.

It seems to primarily happen with the materialized versions, from what I've seen. On my old Nexus 5x, that was the issue.
So, I've come across a unique situation. I've installed the V4A for Magisk V15 (the only one to even partially work for me), and the driver is refusing to work for BT audio. Works for the phone's speaker, and for wired earbuds through the dongle when I lock the mode, just not on my BT headphones or car stereo. I'm on Oreo beta 3.
Do you guys have any thoughts?

Same problem here. Not sure what the reason is...
Edit: my SE Linux is enforcing, I'm gonna set to permissive and see if anything changes.
Edit2: changing SE Linux to permissive does nothing. Not sure what the deal is, it says it's supported and ready but refuses to process...
Damn...
I was hoping someone had worked around removing deep buffering...
Deep buffering allows some wizardry to happen that makes streaming not suck battery like a teenager with a milkshake...
The drain is real with things like YouTube, Spotify, and Pandora...

I haven't really noticed a huge difference in battery draw but I haven't had the phone long before modding it. Viper is a must though with this phone's low volume output.
Hey Guys ,
I tried a search here in the forum but I can't find anything related to my problem.
I'm using a OnePlus 6T with OOS 9.0.11, rooted with Magisk and I'm using the Viper4Android Materialized module from Magisk manager.
After a time not using viper/not listening to music, the service stops working. I force closed viper, cleared cache and reopen it doesn't help. Viper itself says that the drivers are in supported state. But I can play around in the app and nothing changes.
After a reboot viper works again but I don't know how long. And rebooting the phone Everytime I want to listen to music is a bit annoying.
So I'm asking here if someone experiences the same issue and/or maybe have a solution for this.
Thanks in advance
Calvin
I have the same problem. You may try "Lock Effect Mode" in Viper4Android Settings. This works for my for Bluetooth headphones.
Try enabling the persistent notification in viper settings
Maybe you have to update to the latest version (2.6.0.5): https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/com.pittvandewitt.viperfx
Magisk Modul is not allways up to date.
I'm on Version 2.6.0.6. (from the telegram group) and Viper4Android work with spotify most of the time. When I play around with the V4A settings I loose sometimes the V4A. Then I have to stop and play the music again and everything is fine.
I don't have that problem whatsoever.... UNTIL i use my work profile, because at the moment of installation, i chose "system" and thus it's "installed" in both profiles and they conflict, but when i remember I'll change it to data partition... and hopefully it'll solve it.
I usually get it back by closing my work profile and if isn't enough, a force close and/or "disable selinux" from within viper, i haven't checked to see if my kernel actually allows it or not or whatnot for that matter, but it seems to trigger a refresh for the app and starts working again, and/or try toggling the main switch off/on again.
I tell you many different scenarios because i don't know your firmware nor kernel, viper setup and other audio configurations, neither do i have any info of other settings, such as the battery's background restrictions for the app along with the optimization status, etc.
Play with it and you'll be fine!
I'm on beta two, clean slate kernel, viper and dolby along with the modification and compatibility modules, all installing choices set to "1", and like i said, viper as system.
