Installed clean 13A and done rooting my vs995 with dirtysanta. Now, is there any advice to get a more stable rooted device ? Flashing Kernels...etc ?
If any kernal was flashed, would it be replaced with stock kernal after flashing a stock KDZ file ? "Does the official KDZ file have a kernal that will replace customs flashed kernals ?"
Note: My vs995 still vibrates Everytime it boots up and it lags sometimes due to CPU high usage especially with stock camera app and Firefox. Also, Official YouTube app plays only sound shows no video. LG green screen of death has been encountered many times.

Dose it lag when the lg camera app switch to portrait mode? It should be very fast when switching back and forth...
Did you remove the thing using rcdt?
I am using wetarom and i can say is very fast and battery efficient. Everything load almost instantly using the blue_active governor

No. Didn't use RCDT remover yet. I will remove the LG root checker with RCDT and report back.

Tried to remove the RCDT and failed. Everytime I try to patch the image and flash it again and then rebooted to the app, it shows RCTD "Currently Running"
Only Triton was successfully removed. CCMD left unchecked due to possibility of bootloop.

So I'll start by saying I made a boo boo and this is 100% my fault.
I rooted my stock D800 and flashed TWRP. I flashed Cyanogenmod but where I messed is up when I flashed the D802 ROM and not the D800. I figured I'd just boot into recovery again using the hardware buttons, but all that happens is the screen turns on but nothing actually displays.
After that, I figured I'd just flash a stock ROM and basically start over using Download Mode and FlashTool. Unfortunately, I can't flash the stock firmware because the phone is NOT identifying itself as a D800, it's identifying as a D802, so FlashTool will not allow me to flash the proper files.
What I don't understand is why was I able to get into TWRP that one instance and flash the ROM but now whenever I attempt to get into recovery again the screen just turns on but recovery doesn't show. Makes no sense to me. I've tried getting into recovery using the hardware buttons a million times after but no dice.
I know it's not much, but I'm willing to throw in 10 bucks via PayPal for whoever can help me fix this.

EVERYONE! I have found a resolution for this.
First, visit this thread.
Download the DLL from this post and flash with a normal stock ROM. I used this combo and it flashed WITHOUT issue. Hope it helps you guys out as well.

So it doesn't need to be in FAQ somewhere?Lol it would've helped me out dramatically! It's not my fault that there are recoveries that mess up your phone. Coming from Samsung phones I didn't think that someone would release faulty software that would render your phone unusable.
Lately my phone has been randomly rebooting like crazy. At least once a day. I can't remember when this started exactly and there doesn't appear to be any particular reason. I'll just be doing something and all at once it will freeze and then reboot. Is there any app or way to determine why this is happening? It's driving me nuts. I know it's only once a day and it only takes like 45 secs to reboot. But I don't know why it's happening...

You could install SysLog from the Play Store and run it after each reboot. That will capture the dmsg and last_kmsg, as well as the modem log and something else. You can easily email that to the ROM dev and maybe he can help you sort it out.
You could also try freezing all non stock apps with titanium backup. Then unfreeze them only as you need one at a time, then to try to troubleshoot if its an app.

I am not completely sure, but doesn't Autorec install the stock kernel (patched only for loki etc).
Thread title asks just for the Stock Kernel and since you have already a custom recovery , you would need a patched kernel. Doesnt have to be Dorimax.
Or really completely stock with everything and unroot?
Oh, I'm sorry. I meant I want things to go back the way they were - stock 4.4.2, stock kernel, no custom recovery. Is it even possible without a complete reinstall and wipe?

when installing a new kernel you should never judge by one day, you should always allow 2-3 days for everything to fall in place, saying the above is like installing a new rom and if in few hours its draining fast you blame the rom but in reality you didn't give things a chance to fall in place and run as they are supposed to

So you mean to say It's ok that it takes like 4 sec to show mobile data settings (long press on mobile data icon)? That's an example. And also I don't know much about benchmarks but the I/O score in quadrant went down to 5200ish.

well naturally for flashing a kernel you wipe dalvik/cache and I mentioned earlier if you want to go back to stock you would need to use back to stock guide which will erase everything on your phone so backup anything important
So I guess there is no way of restoring kernel and recovery without wipe?

I had the same issue and fixed by flashing this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52182215&postcount=449
First of all I'd like to thank the following forum members for their contributions:
@Zackptg5 and @megaghostgamer for their basic steps
@xdabbeb for his bootstack
Major thanks to @Cloudyfa for his amazing ports!
I've compiled their steps into a very user friendly guide with all downloads in one place.
I recommend TWRP for the procedure. Any version 2.7.0.0 or above should do.
First of all, you need these files:
Dorimanx 3.9.2 kernel vs980 (Make sure you download the kernel for the VS980)
Aroma Patch Fix
CloudyG2 3.3
xdabbeb's vs980 39a bootstack
Then, follow the steps carefully. I am not responsible if this didn't work for you as it did for me.
Backing up is recommended, nandroid or data backups.
Boot your phone into TWRP. (Recommended method is going to recovery after turning off the device)
Wipe everything except internal storage.
Flash Xdabebbeb's VS980 39A bootstack.
Reboot the device into recovery (there should be an option for this in the reboot section of TWRP).
Flash CloudyG2 3.3 and make sure you select your variant as VS980. Make sure you uncheck the reboot option at the end of the installation.
Flash the Aroma Patch Fix zip, and select your variant as VS980. Make sure you uncheck the reboot option at the end of the installation.
Flash the VS980 39A bootstack once more.
Flash the Dorimanx 3.9.2 kernel zip.
Wipe cache/dalvik cache.
Reboot the device to system.
Notes:
First boot usually takes awhile. The pulsing LED will show up for a long time with the LG Logo.
Mobile Data does not work unless you enable data roaming.
Please hit that thanks button if this guide helped any of you! Any questions, just post down below.
I have followed everything as it has been mentioned in the guide.
When i rebooted the system in the end, LG logo appeared for a second and then black screen with [880] Fastboot mode started.
now what should i do ? its just stuck here.

Easy mistake to make (I did that too once). It'll say you're roaming, but that's just a weird bug. Go into networks setting and enable data while roaming and it'll work fine. You're not actually roaming so you won't get charged for it.
Oh well. Added an extra precaution next to the download link.

Im saying that the hardware issue could have just developed and an easy way to test that is with flashing a stockish rom. If it's a software issue, than you'll have no problems with it. I've never had signal issues with Cloudys rom on my vs980

No i had signals issues before and in this room the issue seemed to have worsen but i think its okay .
but the real issue now is .. extremely extremely slow charging .. even tweaking the kernel with fast charging at 2000mAH.. its such a lazy charging .. you can imagine .. for more than 2.5 hours, the charging has just been moved from 12% to 34%.
not using at all .. only charging .. how to resolve this issue ??

Try uninstalling the apps installed with dormant kernel (color changed, synapse, dorimanx kernel settings) forget the names for them but you'll figure it out. Then flash xdabbebs stock kernel (permissive): http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-g2/development/vs98039a-stock-fw-t3051560
If the slow charge is still present, then it's likely a hardware issue. Sounds like you need a new phone with all of the problems you're having. Have you tried cleaning out the charging port with compressed air?

I'm thinking that the first install of the wrong kernel did some stuff.
Try backing up your stuff, using LG Tool to restore back to stock, and retry the procedure. I'm coming straight off of Resurrection Remix 5.1.1 and I've had no issues with this ROM. Data works without enabling Roaming too.

LG Tool doesnt take me back to stock.. i have to manually flash stock ROM for this ..
actually I had mentioned before, i was already facing severe signals issues and not to forget, GPS is also faulty.
so might be hardware issue that is continued in this ROM too.
But what has been added is .. extremely slow charging .. charging is totally dead.
Using Dorimanx Kernel v 4.6.
even enabled fast charging at 1800 but no effect at all ..

Same issue
I'm experiencing the same issue... Furthermore, if I am on the 'selfie' camera (which the phone thinks is the rear camera) there is a button to switch to the telephoto (non-wide) camera - if clicked the camera is reported as not found, the camera app crashes, attempting to restart it immediately crashes it again. To fix this issue the app data / cache must be cleared to get back into the camera app.
The 'pretty face' features are offered on the back camera and the zoom is completely not functional.
Out of interest, did you guys root your devices?
I had the same issue when I downgraded to the earliest release KDS for my H990. Once I rooted and used KDZwriter to upgrade back to a recent KDZ, all these camera issues were fixed.
It seems it's more an issue of the earliest KDZ vs anything else.

Glad to hear it's working now - it could be that that ROM is based on an earlier KDZ then.
I have the same issue, and it is really annoying. It showed up after using LGUP to flash to 12a before the root process. I am now rooted and have the restock 1.3 kernel and stock rom but issue still persists. Any idea how to fix this?
