I honestly don't know where to start, I bought the Samsung galaxy s4 i337m from virgin mobile, and use it with my Bell carrier. I was browsing the internet when I come to a video that states that you can flash i9505 roms on my i337/i337m phone! So silly of me to try that, it actually worked. When I was tired of that ROM, I go on this forum thread and look for another ROM, a ROM that is i337m cooked, and it soft bricked my phone, 3 times for 3 different i337m ROMS, at this point I have absolutely no clue what is going on with my phone, is the bootloader unlocked? WTF IS LOKI?? WHY does a i9505 ROM work on my phone, and a i337m cooked ROM does not, I just need some answers!! I have been flashing my phone with ROMs since my s1 and now the s4 comes along and completely wipes any knowledge I had before I got the phone, if anyone can help me on which ROMS I can and/or can't flash, that would be great, sorry for english not my first language!
Read and do some research. Just because you flashed a number of other phones doesn't mean you know how to flash this one. Every phone is different. It would also help to know what roms you flashed that didn't work.

We are in trouble.
Loki is for locked bootloaders..which you do not have..you need to do some serious reading.

What roms did you try to flash? Where did you get them? The boot loader is not locked and they should flash. Did you check the md5sum? They could be bad downloads.

Loki is needed for phones purchased through at&t. The Canadian version is the same phone, but without a locked boot loader, so the Loki hack is not needed.
What I have found is that some of the custom recoveries don't wipe out the phone properly. Try using Odin and go back to stock, wipe, then restart fresh
Also make sure you do a full wipe after flashing a Rom

I'd do the full wipe before flashing. If you wipe after DON'T wipe system or you'll be in trouble.

Actually, I totally found that the Loki fix was needed for my Canadian i337m device (Bell). Many ROMs wouldn't work without it; they'd just get stuck in the boot logo (including SlimRom and CyanogenMod).
Just flash the ROM, then flash the Loki-Fix and you should be good to go.
If you're seriously stuck and you can't get back into your custom recovery, let me know and I'll help you out.
Now I am confused. Why would the I337m need a loki anything?
It is not needed. I surprised it even flashed.

I didn't check the first time, but ever since I had to reflash to stock I started using this firmware: I337MVLUAMDJ_I337MOYAAMDJ_I337MVLUAMDJ_HOME and this kernel:
Samsung-Updates.com-KERNEL-SGH-I337M-BMC-I337MVLUAMDJ-1366643831. It was necessary for me to Odin back to stock completely a couple of times.

If I flash a ROM but not the Loki Fix, one of the following scenarios happens: 1. the ROM gets stuck in a boot-loop (continually restarts), or 2. gets to the boot logo and stays there forever (10+ minutes). But if I reboot into recovery, wipe everything again, reflash the ROM and then the Loki Fix, the phone boots up in less than a minute. Is this very weird? The phone is i337m from Bell, Canada.

Strange. If it's relevant, I did encounter a lot of trouble sim-unlocking this phone for use on other networks. Using the Debug Menu on the phone's keypad didn't work as a method for me, although it had been reported to work for many others, including those with i337m's. I had to use a USB tether hack (FastGSM) to finally unlock the darn thing. Perhaps some models have locked bootloaders and others don't.

Using Open Recovery, and put it on the phone via an ADB interface (over USB debugging) using the Canadian i337m "3way" .BAT tool (root/CWM/OpenRecov).
And Axman, I just don't know what to say, lol!

Phone identified as i337m from settings menu prior to any flashing. Model number under battery matches: Model: SGH-I337M / IC: 649E-I337M.
Using Loki came in where I found that flashing ROMs wasn't working. I had already rooted and tried to unlock the phone through the debug menu. Unlocking didn't work, but rooting did and I could load custom recoveries without problem. I thought that I should try flashing other ROMs to see if I could unlock the device through their debug menus, but no luck. The first ROM I tried to flash was a SlimRom nightly. That one appeared to flash properly (recovery said "success"), but upon reboot I got stuck in a boot loop. I then went back to recovery and messed around trying to flash other ROMs and ran into the same issue persistently. I eventually panicked and Odined back to stock ROM and kernel (numbers previously mentioned). Everything was fine after I figured out how to make Odin work. (I even learned how to make signed-MD5 tarballs with Cygwin to try to make flashing recoveries and roots simpler by using Odin.) After wondering why I couldn't flash any custom ROMs, I dug around a bit and found out that some ROMs' first-posts mentioned that certain fixes had to be applied—some of which were labelled ROM-specific (e.g. GOLDENEYE-i337m-FiX-XXUBMF8) and others that just said that they required a Loki fix, and sometimes provided a link to download it. At the time I didn't know what Loki was, and I wasn't understanding why certain ROMs would come pre-"Lokified" (brain was full after hacking around for >6h). So in the moment it made no sense not to try flashing that to see if it would help. Lo and behold, it worked! I started flashing Loki after every ROM install from then on out. Previously not-working ROMs that I had already tried suddenly worked just fine (I didn't redownload them; I kept the same zip files and just started flashing the Loki Fix after each of them to make them work).
It's still the case that when I want to flash a new ROM, I wipe everything from recovery and flash the ROM. If it doesn't boot, I flash the Loki Fix and then it does boot properly.
Sorry if I sound like a total noob here, but is there any way to remove TWRP without flashing the stock firmware? I came from a DROID RAZR, which had safestrap, where we could remove custom recovery at will with that app on the phone. Can ADB remove TWRP similarly as to how it put it there? Thanks for the help.

Why do you want to remove it? Do you want to flash CWM? If so you can flash CWM over the top using Flashify.
The main reason would be to receive an update from LG like when the release the 4.4 builds.

I used flashify to make a backup of the stock recovery and then flashed TWRP. If you haven't already flashed TWRP look into making a backup of stock.
However, though those of use rooted LG G2 users may not be able to update over the air, we should be able to use our computers and USB connection to manually install the 4.4 release at some point after the 4.4 update goes live. I'm new to LG - long time Galaxy owner - so maybe I'm wrong about that and someone with more LG experience can correct me.
I haven't had an LG phone before either, so I don't know. Can someone who has had an LG phone before please enlighten me/us as to how you would go about applying LG updates when you have a custom recovery? That's where this question really came from.

I don't know if the recoveries are universal - would be reluctant to share my AT&T with you and find you messed up your phone trying to restore. You might want to post this request in a separate thread.
Hello,
Yesterday an update came up on my screen, I clicked "Install Now"
The phone restarted into CWM.
I am rooted ofcourse, and I'm really scared for my phone,
Is there anything to be done?
Which phone do you have?
Your phone is rooted, do you have a stock or custom ROM?
You should provide a little more information so people can help you.

No. But it looks like you flashed a borked file. Maybe the CM you installed has a wrong MD5, or you might have flashed a CM that's for a different G2. Either way, you can either push a new ROM zip into your phone to flash, or KDZ back to stock like the guy above me said. Good luck!
And don't worry, your phone is completely fine. But this should be a lesson to always perform a backup before ANY ROM flashing.

What I'd like to know is how did you get CWM in the first place? I've tried for a couple of hours with ROM Manager and the D802 is not supported even though it claims it is. All I get is the red triangle on top of the green android bot and what looks like 2.x CWM. Not sure since I'm new. But it only has about 5 options. No MOUNT, NO ADVANCED, Looks unsuitable for flashing a ROM. I saw this version the very first time I flashed a phone and I soft bricked the phone. It was a Nexus 4. I recovered but I'm not taking any chances and messing with that again. The only way I recovered was using Wugfresh. I need something like Wugfresh for my D802 where I can take those risk. I'm angry because I can't flash anything now. I've got 327 apps to get installed. No one wants to do that manually. It is really inconceivable that this phone which is still arguably the best in the world after 6 months is not supported the way it should be with recovery. Any help in getting CWM working would be greatly appreciated.

That won't work because you can't even get to the menus to install the zip. That the whole problem. You can't really do anything because it basically hangs up with the red triangle. With the number of people having this problem and how great a phone this is you'd figure this problem would not even exist. Here's a screen shot of the problem everybody is having.

I don't know if I have the skills to pull that off. I could wind up like busted25 and all the others who bricked. I think my best option might be to sell it very cheap quickly and order a new one and never upgrade. I'll take the hit. Phone is less than a week old. One thing I'm not understanding though is I'm seeing only kitkat custom roms for this phone out there. That's why I thought it was ok to upgrade. I didn't see any 4.2.2. Everybody who flashed the custom roms must have been fairly or very skilled. One thing that made me upset is ROM Manager advertised recovery for this phone that was bogus. I even paid for the touch version and got nothing and no email reply
I wanted to start a new thread since i havent had any luck finding an answer to my question. Basically i need to know how can i unroot my LG G2 LS980 from Sprint. I just want it back to stock. I have tried a few ways (threads in the forums) but after trying fro a few mins they dont seem to work. then when i go to the end of the thread it says these way no longer works. The last one i tried made me download firmware and use the LG Flash tool and change the megalock.dll but after checking all the settings and launching the tool it just sits at 0% forever. I even tried the turn off and put back on download mode again while not closing the tool and it still does the same.
my phone is still on stock recovery, running android 4.2.2 and software version LS980ZV8
I tried doing the OTA that pops up on my phone every other day but it fails to update halfway thru it. Now i want kitkat and i cant update it. I guess worse case i would like to flash a stock rom with kitkat (stock) and still keep it rooted but my issue is im still stuck on ZV8

So i need at-least 10 post so I can post in a development forum which kinda sucks. I'm not a total noob i don't need help with flashing anything. I have a legitimate question with a problem im having with a rom. Posting this 10 times in random forums to see if I get intermission to post in Development Forum.

that isn't going to work, you are supposed to make at least 10 helpful post in which you well obviously help someone
Honestly the only help I can give you since I'm using an AT&T version is this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lg693AYgoTo
I know it's for AT&T but for AT&T and Sprint you use the same method to flash. You just have to replace the .tot and .dll for your sprint phone, because the ones included are for the AT&T version. Other than that the steps are the same.
PS the Development forums are not for Q&A, it's for development and feedback (Like logcats and bug fixes, etc).

Flash v10J
Sent from my LG-P705 using XDA Free mobile app
OK, so i have a little problem. I have a p705 and my baseband is from CM10 (v10k). The signal is f***ed up, it's very hard to find it. On my another p700 i am using the same CM and baseband, and the signal is just fine. What baseband to try next? I live in Europe (Bulgaria).
Do you have v10e ics for australia please
OK, I will start from the beginning.
Originally my L3 E400 had android 2.3.6 and V10J
I rooted the phone, installed CWM and then flashed CM9 without problems.
Later I saw that in order to flash CM10, I need to have V20
I installed V20D EUROPE OPEN and tried to install CM10 with CWM. After it finished I clicked reboot and that was it.
The phone bricked. I cannot enter emergency mode, I cannot turn it on, I cannot use any combination of buttons.
Only if I click power ON it just vibrates, the two lights turn on for a second and the screen remains blank (black)
Nothing else. If I connect it to windows 7 through USB I can hear the windows USB sound and I can see the phone in device manager.
I have tried to flash stock rom using KDZ update tool but it won't update..
What can I do?

Before bricking I flashed it to V20D with CWM.
Now I can't flash it back to V10 as I cannot turn it on or get into an emergency mode/download mode etc.

I saw cyanogenmod 10.2 which is based on android 4.3 for L3 E400 here http://theunlockr.com/rom/unofficial-cyanogenmod-10-2-rom-2/
I clicked download and went here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2396115
below downloads it says
Note : CM-10.2 is only for jellybean (v20) baseband. If you are on ics (v10) baseband flash v20 baseband from this thread
Format everything other then Sd card (Full format is must needed when you flash cm10.2 1st time)
I clicked where it said this thread and went here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335273
From there I downloaded Baseband for JB V20D-EuropeOpen
and flashed it to my L3
later I flashed Cyanogenmod 10.2 beta 2.1 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2396115
after rebooting the problem appeared.

I couldn't agree more, but, that was given in the instructions of cyanogenmod developer.
Do you know if there is a way to fix that before selling it ASIS on ebay ?
EDIT: Cancel. I have finally decided to sell it for spare parts on ebay.

dont do that, i really recommend flashing kdz, you can get in to emergency mode, or even recovery still. Its just a brick, or what i call a shadow hard brick, it happened to my L5 and my L7.
i managed to get in to recovery with out a pc on both devices.
if you try different button combos you you can enter download mode, try button combinations different then those for L3.
You flashed a baseband for L7 remove your battery and try holding vol + and vol - at the same time and connect to your pc via usb, you will most likely be in emergency mode. Remember kdz has bugs, when you connect your phone make sure you disable LG mobile modem under modems on your pc.
And if on windows try with and with out windows enabler.
Try different versions of kdz.
And theres one more thing you can try.
open your phone and slowly remove all the connected chips. Like display and all other stuff camera is irrelevant tho.
leave it for 5 minutes and gently put every thing back in to place.
L3/L5/L7 are impossible to hard brick. Im sure it can be taken care of with out servicing or selling.
I hope this helps.

I have already tried every possible combination without success, removed battery and USB connection etc. No emergency mode, nothing. . . Just a vibration and nothing more. I have disassembled it and sell separated parts.
For the moment I am just expecting another phone to arrive. My blackview crown. So, I don't care much about the LG.
Selling it for separated parts, I might get more than I bought it.. (If people ever buy the parts)
Thanks anyway for the help!

Lg l7 p705 - baseband venezuela
Good day , I had installed this ROM([ROM][P700/P705][KITKAT 4.4.4][KTU84Q]UNOFFICIAL CM11 by IMER) for quite some time now and it's going very well , now the matter is that apparently have not installed the Baseband necessary to function as it should. My question is how to install the Baseband to go testing that go best with my area(VENEZUELA).
Thanks and regards.

i think there is a baseband somewhere for Venezuela, but this is my advice. Backup your rom to sd card, flash v20 frameware for Venezuela. Root and install cwm. Then flash cwm 6.0.4.9 for your device and restore the rom.
you will have the Venezuela basbande by default.
