I have this phone and would like to know if it is possible to retain Widevine L1 status on any of the custom roms.
If so, I would like to know if any of the 64-bit roms can do L1 and that would be preferable.

Any one got Google pay and other banking apps in pie roms .??
Will relocking the bootloader restore widevine l1 ??
I'm not sure if any of this has been answered to death before, but I just can't seem to find clarity on some things.
a) Do both the Indian and Global versions have the same code name (lavender)?
b) Do custom roms made for 'lavender' flash to both versions successfully?
c) Are gcam and other camera mods made with the global version only in mind?
d)Is Widevine L1 support lost on flashing a custom rom? Is there any way to restore it?
are the same terminals
We all know RN7 got L3 widevine, but few got L1 also, with latest MIUI. Is it possible to get L1 with custom ROM? I found a file, flashed, it was showing L1 in DRM-info. But then Netflix video stopped playing, like showing an error "This can not be played error-5.10" Need solution please.
Mine came with L1 enabled.... I have the Global Version on stock 10.3.5

Hi there, I have an international Mi A1 that has never been modded (stock Aug. 2020 upd.).
I'm interested to switch to a custom rom, but after reading some articles about the strengthening of SafetyNet (hardware fingerprint?) I desisted.
So before I go into this operation I'd like to know if there are any problems with banking apps (that I need) and other apps that uses those APIs. I'm not interested in root permissions, so if I had to give them up in order to be sure to bypass SafetyNet, it would be fine with me.
Uh, another stupid question (sorry!), could I lock the bootloader again once the custom rom is installed (I know that SafetyNet check this, correct me if I am wrong)?
Thank you all for your attention!

You can flash any android 10 rom for mia1 and safteynet shouldn't be a concern, rooting is not necessary in order to use custom roms. I myself only use custom roms for the latest android version and features without the need of rooting.

i'm using Lineage OS 17 official from 7-8 months and its also rooted with Magisk and Safetynet check always passed. i use Upi apps and Netflix app but didn't face any problem
You should never ever lock bootloader after installing custom roms, it will send the device into bootloop.
My widevine gone to l3 after i ota to android 12 beta update manually. I don't know why it happened i was on Android 11 oos. Never unlocked or tried custom roms.
After that i tried going back to oos11 again using msm, flashing custom rom pixel experience, msm to oos10. In short tried everything but doesn't seem to work .
Please if anyone have a ideas let me know i can not watch 480p now. Thanks in advance.
