That's too bad... Is it so difficult to sacrifice 5 minutes of your life to look through the section? There is no way to unlock G6 variants other than H870 and US997.

[Q] gsm and wcdma quality

Hi
I want to buy motorola droid razr m xt 907 and I have few questions.
1. I live in Israel whic means I use gsm and wcdma and not the lte. How is the 2g and 3g quality? Because I have seen that there is only 1 bar in 3g in few reviews.
2. Is there stable rom without motoblor?
3. How is the battery life?
4. For 115$ for unlocked phone does it worths it?
Thank you
I boight it 2 months ago for $100 and I don't regret. GSM works good. Battery life is also good. Custom ROMs are not so stable as stock, but they are. Now I'm on stock KitKat with Verizon bloatware removed. In this time it's the best choice I think. But be careful. If you buy a device with software upgraded to 98.16.3 or higher, you won't be able to unlock bootloader to install custom roms and you won't be able to get root after update to Kit Kat.

Are you sure 100% thats it works?
Do I have to do something with the phone? If it is unlocked Do I have to do something inorder to work?
If you don't want to use the phone in USA, GSM/WCDMA works. Only US GSM carriers are locked, so if you want to use it in Israel, you don't have to unlock anything.

Just if you want custom roms or root on KitKat update, you have to unlock bootloader what can't be done if the software have been updated on newer firmware than 98.16.1

Problem after actualization - Fotafs_open no such file

Hi all,
I have bought yesterday a new LG G2. And Wright after booting up I made an actualization through OTA. But during the installation it stopped on step 2 on 17 percent and keeps restarting. Each time I receive black screen with lines of errors like Fotafs_open....no such file or directory.
I tried to fix the software through LG mobile support tool, bo it didn't recognise the phone because of the actualisation. So I boot into download mode, then it was recognised but I received that software is actually. But after restarting phone I receive only LG logo and then black screen with blinking LED.
Can I ask for any assistance? Really don't want to give it back on warranty just after one hour of using it:-\

Just bring it back, man. No need to mess with things and run the risk of voiding your warranty if you can avoid that.

when i am going to the site where i can get the code and i presson Unlock Bootloader i have to login again.
Obviously you have to login again, try to get your unlock code again. For the product ID you can try to generate it with a tool, http://rootjunkysdl.com/files/Huawei P8 Lite/Huawei Product ID Generator.exe, but I can't tell you if it will work.
If you manage to unlock bootloader you can recover your phone, otherwise I can't help you. Good luck.
Huawei tiols can unlock in fastboot I think...

well, without unlock code, you're pretty much out of luck. but there is something else you can try, search dc unlocker on google. i don't know how that works, but seeing reports from other users it does work
I got my code with DC unlocker.
It does work, but its not a free service. It will cost you like 5 bucks or something like that.
Essentially, it is sometimes tricky to use the Unlocker. The phone has to be recognized by it. After that, it is easy to use.
Also... just SAVE your code! Just put it in a document and save it in a cloud drive. It really isn't that much effort.

[Q] Blade Max Z Root, TWRP, Xposed??

Hello,
Thinking of getting the Blade Max Z exclusive to MetroPCS. It has great specs but I need to know if it can be rooted (Android 7.1.) I also need TWRP and would like to put Xposed on it.
Searching the forum didn't bring up anything about the phone.
Thanks in advance!
You will never see root for this phone. Much like the version before it, the Z Max Pro, it is unrootable

Why are they in rootable is there no flaw in the system or what I really don't understand maybe, I'm an dumb for not understanding but, I think the goal is to find the exploit not just say it's unrootable
There will be root....

your device software cannot be checked for corruption. please lock the bootloader

Hi all,
Recently i have unlocked my Sony XZP device to install the latest update G8142 47.2.A.6.30 as the phone was still on android 8 until now.
i made the update using Sony flash tool (Emma) and it works but i got that annoying message at the boot up:
"your device software cannot be checked for corruption. please lock the bootloader"
Is there any method to get rid of it?
Thanks in advance!
It's normal.

No, you didnt have to unlock your bootloader to flash stock firmware.

When i opened Emma (flash tool by sony), it said bootloader is locked and you should unlock to see updates so i unlocked.
Btw, aside from this message what are other consequences of unlocking my bootloader? I mean, is there other downsides?

Dude... It would have been better to ask before you unlocked. Emma is not the tool to switch to another firmware, you can use flashtool or newflasher for that. These work without unlocking your phone.
During the unlock process, Sony deletes your DRM keys. If you didn't backup your DRM keys before you did the unlock, you lost the keys which are unique to your specific phone.
Without DRM keys your camera quality goes down, some screen enhancements no longer work and some sound enhancement are disabled.
Also your phone now no longer supports widefine l1. Which means no more HD HDR video from Netflix on your phone. And there are probably some apps that now no longer install on your phone because of this.
I'm really angry at Sony that they do this during the unlock process. Especially because their warning is not scary enough to make people think and read some more before doing the unlock.
If you like to have some of these features back, you can go back to Oreo and install a DRM fix after rooting your phone. But no DRM fix is available for Pie yet. Good luck. A lot of information about this is available on this forum.

Unfortunately i did not know that. What makes me really want to update my phone by any how is the very disturbing wifi problem. On oreo, wifi signal with my xzp is lost every couple of minutes. I posted on sony forums but they did not reply back. They did not even admit having the issue. It was a very bad experience as my first sony phone and i don't think i would repeat it.

I don't know what are DRM keys. I will search on the forum to learn more about that. If you can suggest some topics/threads to start with, i will be really grateful.

I'm really upset. Since this was my first experience to install a rom on my phone by myself, i was not aware of these consequences. Seems that to fix the problem with wifi, i lost more features!
