I have the 2015 16GB model. I'm having trouble installing the 6.3 OTA update. I'm unable to update for some reason or another and I'm unable to get into fastboot no matter what I try. I've tried hardware buttons and ADB reboot bootloader with no success, but I'm able to get into stock recovery.
By the way, I noticed when trying to install the update, right before it reboots, I noticed a exclamation mark behind the update window, which usually indicates something went wrong.
If possible, can someone pull and upload the 6.3 OTA update? It should be located in /data/data/com.nvidia.ota/app_download. I'm going to attempt to flash the update via recovery.
Anyone???

I just got the new OTA for Lolipop 5.0.1. I used ADB to pull the URL for the download and downloaded the attached ZIP using my browser. The URL pulled from ADB was an extremely long randomized string of characters that expired the moment my device was done updating. It seems the link is only active during the update process, so the only way to leave the link active longer is to battery pull or something in the middle of the update. I love you guys... but not that much
Keep in mind that this OTA was offered to me on 22.21.16, so I am assuming that you probably need to be on that update before you can use this OTA.
Let me know if you guys have any questions or run into any issues!
I'm rooted and running TWRP on my XT1064 with 22.21.16. Is there a way to just fastboot flash this update? I don't mind losing root. Thanks!
Okay, I had upgraded to 22.21.16 via TWRP using KennyWuLee's packaged tool. This morning I received a notice that I had an update available for 22.21.25. So like a dummy I went ahead and accepted. Now all it does is boot into TWRP. When I restart to system from TWRP it boots up just fine then after about 15 seconds reboots to TWRP.
I assume it is looking for the stock recovery which will then allow me to install the update? So will I be safe to go ahead and reflash the stock recovery, reboot and go from there? Or should I go all the way back to stock everything?
I have an XT1063.
Edit: I went ahead and flashed stock recovery and rebooted. After boot looping several times it rebooted into the system and gave me the message "Software update unsuccessful. There was a problem ....blah, blah, blah." But I still show an update available when I check.
I suspect it is because I am unlocked and rooted, even though I have stock recovery installed. Any thoughts on this guys? I am going to hold fast until I know for sure.
The update failed because you were rooted. You need a 100% stock /system since updates after 5.0 check the integrity of the filesystem before updating.
I may sound like a noob, but just to be sure..
Name of update says ".en.us".
Is it ok to use it for a french moto G 2d generation?
French will be available?
Thanks!!

Not sure if it makes a difference or not. I just put what the build was listed as when I got the update notification.
I put that there in case that was why some people couldn't update from 22.21.6 to 22.21.16

Nice theory, but I am now totally restored back to stock with stock recovery and unrooted. Still no luck with the update. Same thing happens.
I'm still stuck on 22.11.6, so I'm assuming I can't install this update until I'm on 22.21.16?

Any news XT1068 android 5.0.1 #India?
Moto G 2014 5.0.1
Hello good day friends will have some manual to perform the installation ?? and try it for apply update from ADB and I mark error in sideload package , installation aborted
How do I can install this update?
Today I tried to update my firmware to 13.10.10.34.
The phone rebooted and then it told me that the update failed.
Now it does not offer the update anymore.
How can I update the firmware?
I have rooted ZE500KL with 13.10.7.1(Andriod M).
I'm having the same problem similar as above. I have lost the TWRP and seems like have no stock recovery as well. I have this problem right after attempting to install stock recovery using flashify. I guess i have installed the wrong version of stock recovery and right after the boot up, i never had any chances to see the recovery window (power button + volume down). It's only stuck at Asus logo. Please anyone help me!
Download and flash official recovery,go into recovery and wipe data and cache partition, download latest firmware from official asus site and in recovery select adb sideload and from adb write adb sideload name_of_firmware.zip reboot, wait 10-15min. And enjoy?

As you have already rooted your phone, I'd suggest you to flash a custom ROM as you can get Nougat and they are much better than stock Asus ROMs.
But if you want to update, download it from official Asus website and flash it from recovery mode.
Trying to update the 4.5.1 and it seemed to have gone fine until it automatically reboots into TWRP recovery. Upon rebooting into system, it states the update failed. With TWRP having all those jumbled folder names right now (has this been fixed yet?) it's hard to see if the update downloaded somewhere to internal storage, and further if it could be flashed even if I found it. Is updating with an OTA like this possible? I know on basically all other phone it is not. Has anyone gotten the update to work while being unlocked, rooted, with TWRP? Thanks.

Generally you need to reflash the previous Full ROM with TWRP and then flash the OTA on top for it to work as the system must be unmodified. Alternatively, you can just flash the latest Full ROM. Currently those are not available, but that's generally how it works.
If u have installed twrp before updating the stock rom, I guess we have to wait for full rom of latest update 4.5.1 which can be flashed via twrp.
P.s. FLASHING the dwnloaded update via twrp will gives u error.. So have to wait for full rom. ?
Hi!!
I'm having problems to update from android 8.0.0. My phone is no rooted, the bootloader is open (I have learned that it's so expensive to close it xD xD, when you close it the phone makes briked) and when the update is downloading and the phone needs to reboot to install it, I can't because apears TWRP and I can't to install from here, and I don't find the normal or stock recovery to install it.
What can I do?
Thanks in advance!
You can flash this in twrp just like any other rom.

I had my phone unlocked and rooted with Fulmics 4.2 onboard.
Right when Oreo dropped, I locked my phone and flashed the update straight away.
No brick occured.

So I not need another OS, in fact, I have this oreo installed, but when the system sais that there are updates (now I have one update pending of 700mb) and when it's need reboot for install, this can't finish because TWRP appear, and doesn't let it finish to install the update...
I don't know exactly what I need to do, and I don't want to lose mine actual OS.
Could be possible to update the updates, likely manual mode or similar? Without reboot the phone and avoid the reboot and pass by twrp?
Thanks again
I was running the June patch version of the TWRP flashable stock builds (had hard bricked my phone before so cannot use full stock firmware until and unless I get my hands on the stock Oreo firmware).
As the official Oreo update is out, (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Zmt...IeF9vauAY/view) I downloaded the zip file and placed it in my internal storage and tried to apply the update, which took me to TWRP, and the update failed. I rebooted to see if everything was ok and it was.
Then, I tried to revert to the stock firmware of the latest edition (to see if I could apply the update) and each time I tried to run the commands or run the flash file, it failed because I was not able to flash the stock recovery. It showed 'N/A' instead of 'bad key' every time on the screen before booting into TWRP.
I gave up and tried to go back to the TWRP build I was using before, and I get this error on TWRP. Why is this happening? (I had formatted my data after entering TWRP, is this th reason?)
Please help guys! Need to get my phone back and running!
