[Question] is there any way to get VOLTE back?? - Moto G5 Plus Questions & Answers

I had hardbreaked my moto g5 plus (XT1686) indian variant before.
Somehow i recovered my phone, and i installed Pixel experience ROM, but i lost VOLTE access..
I have a jio sim, there is 4G network but no VOLTE,
Is there any way to solve this problem????

Hi, Any Luck on this. I am also stuck on this issue. I tried stock nugat/oreo and pixel Experiance but no luck.

Did you try flashing stock twrp flashable builds? Probably your persist and efs got messed up. Maybe restoring stock could rebuild those and then you can flash PE. Make sure to boot up after flashing stock atleast once. Hope it helps. All the best mate

Data calling bug in 8.1 roms with one carrier as jio

Hey everyone, I would like your attention please in solving this bug in every 8.1 ROMs. As Indian carrier user, one of my carrier is Jio and other network carrier is Airtel. In every 8.1 ROMs, I am unable to make calls from second sim if I enabled first sim as data sim. I had tried this in reverse way also means placing jio at second slot and used for data sim then also I was able to call from jio only not from my first sim. I tried without gaps flashing then I was able to call from both sims. I don't know its gapps problem or volte ims patches that after gaps there becomes a conflict and calling is not possible through non data sim. This is really a big problem for dual sim user. If anyone know any solution then pl guide. BTW I have tried this on Nitrogen, PX ROM, Lineage 15.1, omni , cosmic and other 8.1 ROMs .

Custom ROMS not fully working with Verizon...

To start, I have a US997 LG G6, With Verizon as a carrier, and I've tried multiple ROMS, (Fulmics, Aquarios, Dirty Unicorns, Didn't bother to try Lineage as it says voLTE doesn't work) and I cannot get everything to work properly, most notably the Hotspot and Data, I am confused how a ROM based off the stock ROM can't have the same things working on Verizon as the stock... (Hotspot and Data/signal bars work fine on stock). If anyone knows how to fix the 'emergency calls only' and Hotspot failing to start on fulmics, that would be appreciated, but for now, I am stuck on stock, as this is my main phone and I need Data and The Hotspot to work...
Quick question how did you root the phone? i thought our variant has bootloader locked
-Nevermind you said verizon carrier not the verizon variant of the lg g6

No service in g5 plus Indian Variant

Hi recently I flashed a custom ROM and due some issues I came back to twrp flasheable stock rom 7.0 (latest on April security).
After flashing the stock rom I have found that my phone is not able to catch the signal . I thought my imei was broken but in system status imei was present and everything looks fine but showing no service and signal strength also nil.
I have tried various sim cards in my phone and none of them worked in catching signal. All of them showing no service and no signal at all.
Please help me if anyone know how to fix this issue, as I use this phone as daily basis.
I have restored my phones efs, persist backup but no use.
I am using Indian Variant Moto g5 plus...

VoLte fix for any rom (100% working)

If volte not working then here's my trick ...
First flash a rom which support volte fully like stock rom .... Now go to recovery and make backup of only EFS folder in twrp .... Now flash the rom in which volte not working and restore the efs folder after flashing the rom and now your volte will work .... And this trick will work with every rom

I think zui already support volte and there isn't any issue with volte make sure you're using the sim card in slot1
Double topic?

Miraculously I found this to be untrue!!
I have two Z2 plus phones, one on ZUI 2.5 unrooted, the other I am running ZUI 4.0.199 RuMod.
My Airtel SIM used in the unrooted ZUI 2.5 phone did not have VoLTE activated, and so I inserted into my friend's phone Redmi note 5 pro. Even there no VoLTE, so I complained to Airtel, and in about 1.5 hrs VoLTE got activated!
I then put it into the Z2+ with ZUI 4.0 and saw VoLTE working. I also then put back the SIM into my Z2+ with ZUI 2.5 and was amazed to find that Airtel VoLTE was working!!! I could make calls to others and the network did not switch to 3G.
It worked most of the day, but then in the night it suddenly switched off on its own again. I don't know if it is the Z2+ VoLTE bug or airtel switching off VoLTE, so I tried to verify by putting the SIM back in the ZUI 4.0 phone, and found that VoLTE was still active, but putting it back in the ZUI 2.5 phone did not enable VoLTE again.
I don't know what exactly to infer from this incident. Was it a error of Airtel's part that VoLTE worked, or is it the VoLTE bug that caused it to switch off on ZUI 2.5...
However, one thing is clear that Airtel has deliberately switched off VoLTE on some phones claiming unsupprted.
I have recently found Airtel VoLTE active on some friend's phones which officially do not support Airtel VoLTE like Lenovo K8 note, so I think Airtel is deliberately limiting VoLTE access...

unfortunetly volte will most likely never work on any rom due to its required drivers being locked down by lg.

Your best option is to install Stock Oreo 8.0 and debloat. I have been working on debloating Stock Oreo for awhile now and I finally got it. I made a twrp flashable file you can just flash and it will debloat the phone, it's called Auto_Debloat. You just flash after you have flashed Stock Oreo, Magisk and twrp ect. In the case of the H910, you only have to flash two files to install Oreo and debloat. I want to preserve such an iconic phone for the future.
Debloat the Lgv20 H910 and install Stock Oreo Rooted & Debloat ALL Lgv20 Phones Stock Oreo
After installing Stock Oreo and Debloating you may have to Call your provider and have them enable VoLTE and Wif-Calling.
