To start, I have a US997 LG G6, With Verizon as a carrier, and I've tried multiple ROMS, (Fulmics, Aquarios, Dirty Unicorns, Didn't bother to try Lineage as it says voLTE doesn't work) and I cannot get everything to work properly, most notably the Hotspot and Data, I am confused how a ROM based off the stock ROM can't have the same things working on Verizon as the stock... (Hotspot and Data/signal bars work fine on stock). If anyone knows how to fix the 'emergency calls only' and Hotspot failing to start on fulmics, that would be appreciated, but for now, I am stuck on stock, as this is my main phone and I need Data and The Hotspot to work...
Quick question how did you root the phone? i thought our variant has bootloader locked
-Nevermind you said verizon carrier not the verizon variant of the lg g6

Before I rooted my verizon galaxy s5 I was able to use ATT sim cards but the phone would not get any service whatsoever with a tmobile sim or metro pcs sim. Everyone i spoke to at least was able to connect to the tmobile or metro pcs network, even if they were having data issues...but I was not even able to get a network signal. Finally, I rooted the phone and am using a tmobile rom thinking that may help. But no luck. For some reason my phone will not register itself on tmobile or metro pcs, Not even to just connecto to the network to make phone calls. I tried 2 different tomible roms and i think an att rom and no luck whatsoever. Anybody else experience this issue? Is there a root function or service menu that I need to access to enable the proper band? Is rooting the phone even going to change anything? Makes no sense how every other verizon s5 out there has no problem connecting to tmobile or metro but I have the only one. Ive scoured the forums and have yet to find any answer....thoughts? Oh, I also tried every APN settings combination imaginable. Even other carriers just because I was getting nowhere with the tmobile and metro APNs.
Quite a lot of your thread made absolutely no sense, so I'm not sure if this will help.
Look for a tar.md5 that contains the stock modem partition for the Verizon S5, and flash it through Odin.
Are you bootloader unlocked? I would just flash a generic klte rom, like Cyanogenmod, instead of flashing an ATT or T-Mobile rom.

According to a few people i spoke with the root for verizon s5 can only accept TW roms. And to clear up anything that doesnt make sense. my verizon s5 will not get any service with tmobile or metro. Works fine with att. So i decided to root. After rooting still no luck. However, before I rooted I was getting no bars at all. After rooting I was actually getting service bars but still would not get any actual service. I tried every APN setting I could find and still no luck. Thats all. I will try your advice as far as flashing the tar.md5 and let you know.

There was a bootloader unlock exploit released - it allows any rom to be flashed. It's been in the top development posts for weeks. Go check that out, and you can flash cyanogenmod.
I actually am in a similiar situation except I am already on CM13 using a previously Verizon S5, I just started Tmobile service yesterday and in general I can make calls but data is rather inconsistent. Example right now when I make it call it falls down to 3g (Normal) but when I disconnect it tries to connect to H+ then 3G but all of them don't supply it data so it just swaps around 3G LTE and H+ and I have to airplane mode on/off to fix it. So this person may still have issues using CM13. I did already go over the APN information with people from TMobile and from post around the web. Does anyone think that flashing the Tmobile s5 modem stuff will fix this?
you just need to get the correct APN settings

I've tried the correct son settings. It didn't work. I used the settings found online for T-Mobile. I called T-Mobile. Non of the settings worked. I flashed back the the stock rom. No joy. flashed a verizon s5 rom again. No joy. I am starting to think that this is the only verizon s5 that won't allow t to register on T-Mobile's network.
I have a VZW S5 (SM-G900V), it's "converted" to a dev edition, I've been running KLTEVZW roms just fine on it, but it hasn't and won't be used on VZW again, just AT&T. I really don't need or want CDMA bands or support. Is there a way I can just flash a regular KLTE version of cyanogenmod? I actually tried, and TWRP says the device type isn't supported.
You could try flashing the unified GSM version of cm13 in Flashfire or there is an unofficial cm13 klte build on this thread by temasek
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...4-cm11-rom-temaseks-unofficial-t2907450/pages it has a cm13 download on the first page

To add to this question... my CID is a 15 series Samsung eMMC chip. I currently have my Verizon S5 activated on MetroPCS and I have an issue with MMS and video calling not working. If I were to unlock my bootloader and flash a custom ROM such as Cyanogen, would that fix my MMS issue? It honestly seems to be a firmware related issue, maybe MMS is somehow coded into the firmware to only work on the Verizon network. The video calling seems to be locked down to force end users to pay for the feature before it is available.

Bought a H871 cheap on eBay and it worked awesome at first..then i got the software update notification to upgrade to Oreo. Thats when it all went downhill. The phone is just a laggy mess now ive deleted the cache and factory reset the phone so many times I lost count now. Nothing has made it any better. Then i get the update to go to pie and its the same story. I've factory reset and deleted cache so many times with no improvement. So my question is how can i go back to stock 7.0. Where all was right in the world. I saw you can use LGUP but I cant find a h871 kdz to flash....thanks for any help that can be provided
www.lg-firmwares.com
Here you can easily find the nougat 7 but my question is that can you downgrade your phone to nougat from pie without unlocking your phones bootloader.....?
the phone is probably damaged internally causing the processor to run slower to keep itself from overheating? no way to downgrade as the at&t firmware files have never leaked nor been made public. best bet is to follow a flash guide to load up oreo from US997 device.
see this guide -->> https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-g6/how-to/convert-upgrade-att-g6-to-h873-oreo-t3791848
please note this firmware will work on AT&T network however you will lose the ability to revert back to AT&T firmware. You will also not be able to use AT&T wifi calling
Want to convert my AT&T LG G6 to H873 OR US997

This is a great question. I believe some users have successfully tried it with Oreo. I tried unsuccessfully with my AT&T H871 but it is currently on pie. I have asked this question for my situation, but so far I have not received an answer. Head on over to the thread referenced above for conversion. You may need to read many pages of posts, but there are some who have tried this with Oreo and may have suggestions for you.
I have an AT&T LG G6 H871 that has been updated to Pie, and I was looking for a way to flash it so it would no longer have AT&T firmware. I live in Canada, in a rural area, so it would be great if I was able to switch the Network Mode to LTE( it favors HSPA signal at the moment) and get rid of the AT&T bloatware. I have tried using LGUP to flash this thing following the steps laid out in various forums, but I can't get it to work. Any help would be appreciated!
I tried changing the default network technology to LTE only meaning GSM and WCDMA is turned off. I lost cell phone service until I swapped it back. How do I I enable enable Volte on LineageOS LG V20 910?
This is quite a serious issue. Anyone know anything on the subject?
VoLTE doesn't work on LineageOS.

unfortunetly volte will most likely never work on any rom due to its required drivers being locked down by lg.

Your best option is to install Stock Oreo 8.0 and debloat. I have been working on debloating Stock Oreo for awhile now and I finally got it. I made a twrp flashable file you can just flash and it will debloat the phone, it's called Auto_Debloat. You just flash after you have flashed Stock Oreo, Magisk and twrp ect. In the case of the H910, you only have to flash two files to install Oreo and debloat. I want to preserve such an iconic phone for the future.
Debloat the Lgv20 H910 and install Stock Oreo Rooted & Debloat ALL Lgv20 Phones Stock Oreo
After installing Stock Oreo and Debloating you may have to Call your provider and have them enable VoLTE and Wif-Calling.
Is Volte Broken on all LG Phone Custum Roms?
I am also looking for the same thing. I like wifi calling and all the functionality of the original rom + more, in a rooted rom. Been looking a lot and can't find any rom that supports VOLTE or WiFi calling on LG v20 H918 T-mobile, except the original of course.
Yes.
