Samsung Cloud - How to transfer photos and videos to S8? - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

Hi.
I've got a Samsung S8 and my Cloud is already full with photos and videos.
I'm looking to transfer all photos and videos from the Cloud into the S8 storage, so that I can make a total clean of the Cloud and then select which photos and videos I want to keep in the Cloud.
Can anyone tell me (in OREO) how can I transfer photos from the Cloud to the storage of the Phone?
Or even better...is there any way to transfer photos from the Cloud into a laptop?

[Q] G+ or Google Drive for photo sharing and backup?

Which is the best option if you want to use it for sharing and backing up photos? When I'm out and about taking pictures and I want to share with someone, the pics are either to big for texting or there is to many to send. So I usually upload to dropbox and send a link to either just view or to download. The problem is I only have 2G with dropbox and would like to use something else to backup almost ALL my pics(about 12G of them). Is it better to upload them to G+ or Google drive? I know that pics in google drive can be seen in G+, but you don't see the pics in G+ on your Google drive directories. Also, I plan on using the app to view the pics on my phone like the native gallery. Any advice or better options?
Thanks in advance!
I use the google photos app on my phone and have it set to auto backup. So when I take a picture(s) it backs up the most recent ones when I am on wifi.I think the google photos are sync'd with your google drive but I'm not 100% sure and can't look on my computer at work. I also increased my google drive size to 1TB for $9.99/month, they also have 100GB for $1.99/month. Not sure if this helps or makes it more complicated as I am limited to what I can see on google at work.

Where are my photos?

On my Nexus 6p 7.1.1 if I try to Google Photos see all my photos.
But if I search on my device in the DCIM folder I only see very few photos and several empty folders. Where are photos stored? In which path and folder?
I thought it might be in Google Drive. But why I see them on Google Photos also without internet connection (wifi or 4g)?
All of the many empty folders (IMG_2016 .....) I can delete them without any problems? or their cancellation makes me lose the pictures (stored somewhere)?
Thanks.

Two things...
1) You can check picture location by going into Google Photos, click a picture, click the " i " (info) button on bottom. It will give you exact storage location. If there's no location and it just has the IMG, then it's on Google Photos website.
2) Google Drive may not show your photos unless you specifically tell it to. You must go to http://photos.google.com instead. Your drive and photos are most likely seperated

Google Photos in stock Gallery?

I can't seem to figure out how to see or access google photos in the stock LG V20 gallery, Verizon. When I click the three vertical dots inside gallery there is a cloud option but that is Verizon cloud. If I disable VZ cloud the cloud option disappears.
Nowhere to add google photos?
I like to use the stock gallery because it allows access to everything in one place. DL's, locked content, Cloud etc.

Looks like it can only add Drive, not Photos. Knowing Verizon they probably removed the feature for all accounts other than Verizon Cloud. Mine shows Drive, Box, Dropbox and Onedrive (VZW V20 running unlocked US996 ROM)
