Help - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

Hi guys I have J5 2016 Android 7.1.1 stock then i rooted then i installed quasar kernel all work fine but i need to downgread to marshmallow 6.0.1 but i'm confused about knox flag i don't want brick my phone or download mode to be blocked or recovery to be blocked so please how can i downgread without any problem after?

Developer option enabled and screen protection off.
And flash MM i think there will be no problem at all..

Knox flag?? is fake with Kernel and if MM flashed boot img will flashed too..
And i dont think so 7.1.1 kernel will work on MM

hi, i rooted my p8 lite, and after that, everytime it reboots, the huawei logo stays for few seconds and dissappears, ive tried to flash with fastboot but it didnt sork(

Tried what? Did you flash the whole rom? Is your bootloader unlocked? What images did you flash?

Bootloader is unlocked, i flashed boot.img, recovery.img, system.img and cust.img with flash all file

you don't need the twrp for a soft brick (a hard brick is something we don't recover from) just flash all the files as you did before and wait. it can take a little time (i once waited 20 minutes) for the first boot to complete.

Ive seen this before altough its only one time.
I think you're rooting it with the wrong method. try reflasshing the boot.img only.

Yeah but i was just gonna let you flash all the partitions by hand instead of a script so you could tell me the output :laugh:

Although RR is great,Im a guy that takes **** ton of photos and camera quality on custom Roms isnt good enough for me.I have a question for you,i dont really understand all that B170 to B361,whats the difference?

just check in settings - about, there should be something that tells you what oeminfo you should use

Sure Thing Before U Flash TWRP make sure u go to stock recovery first then reboot device after you have done that flash twrp if this doesn't work can u please Give me info for e.g. (J5-model) (What Version Android) I had the same thing happen to me too :fingers-crossed:

Before flashing you also need to enable oem unlock from developer settings, and untick autoreboot option from Odin. And start your phone manually.

After doing the process you simply press during 10 seconds vol down+power button to restart your phone, or push battery out ,put in again and start your phone manually.

Just search the oficial twrp by vince2678 here in j5 development tab and flash it. I don't know why people relies in that old and outdated builds...

Hi i have flashed twrp and aokp to my phone but i am having charging problems now. I want to send it to service for repair. If i flash stock recovery and stock rom can i bring my warranty back ?

I think yes, because the bootloader not unlocked, and with stock firmware and wipe data the phone looks like new from store.
