Good day guys, my wifi speed goes down from 74mbps to 1.3mbps (yes that low) when I am connected to any bluetooth device :crying:

Ok so tis is my problem. the Wifi connects fine. i use it for 10 minutes...20 minutes..it works.. then suddenly.. it stops working?
I go to comm manager the Signal quality is full or 3/4 full (dependent on location). it stays connected... the tx rate is 54Mbps and the Rx Rate jumps between 1-54Mbps.. My network is not security protected but no one uses it except me and my computer.
Im using messeneger then it says " messenger trying to reconnect blah blah) then i go to opera and it stopped working too...but its still connected, the signal strength is still strong?
Whats going on?!
My router is a Netgear DG834GT.. I have put my xperia's mac address on the allowed list as well.. i just dont get it?
i have to disconnect and reconnect to get it working..then it lasts another 5 minutes and dies again? Sometimes when i reconnect it still doesnt work so i have to turn off wifi and turn it on 2 or 3 times?
You are not alone, my friend. That's exactly what happened to me, except mine is Belkin.
Someone here (sorry I can't remember) suggest turning off bluetooth solved the problem.
i would try upgrading the firmware of the router it solves many incompatability issues for many people
sometimes my linksys drops data connection so the wifi signal is just a pin
and only fix is to unplug the router for 10sec and replug it
seems to be common that wifi act up at least see people complain in many many forums for wifi able devices
bluetooth is not on at all... Also every other wifi device will connect just fine? why would it work then just stop?
I have no idear only knows that what i wrote fix it in many cases for many people
i have wifi on even in standby tweaked...did you guys tweak anything? like auto off or anything?
nop i just use wpa AES
but as i said i update my wifi router with the latests firmware when
ever linksys updated it and believe me they updated it often
is anyone facing this problem or faced it before then fixed it?
if it's not your router as Rudegar suggests (one way to test, try over a different wifi elsewhere) then I wonder if your wifi is powering down for some reason?
Hey guys...having the same problem. Firstly I had trouble connecting to Wifi with the Xperia...then I updated the router firmware...now I can connect to Wifi but it does nothing, I cannot surf the net, I cannot connect to Skype I cannot connect to Windows live, cannot check my mail, etc...
Any ideas? Bluetooth etc not on at all...
I am having this horrible issue with my Wifi and bluetooth.
1. WIFI: When I turn on WiFi after a reboot it works flawlessly, connects to my wifi network and I can zoom around the net just dandy. As soon as I go out of range of WiFi or manually disconnect it it will NOT turn back on it says "Unable to start Wifi" until I do a full reboot. So annoying.
2.) Bluetooth: When connecting to my Headset it connects just fine after a reboot. HOWEVER, after pairing, if I put the X10 standby with the powerbutton before making a call it will drop the bluetooth audio connection and only play sound through the earpiece. Even though it SAYS it's still connected and paired. And THEN when I shut off bluetooth and try to turn it back on, pretty much the same as the wifi thing except I get no error message it just tries to initiate bluetooth and then sits for a few minutes and then I guess gives up and keeps the bluetooth shut off without any indication of failure.
I'm guessing it's defective but if anyone has had this issue, please speak up! And even better if you know how to solve it. Thanks!! =)
I too am having the same issue with wifi. Also my x10 is superslow on my wifi @ times. So i run a speedtest and I get 3MB, which is fast, but the phone isn't using that speed while browsing the internet.
Hello,
I experienced the same thing as you. Moreover I have a trouble with Bluetooth in my car. After few seconds (around 1 minute) of talk, I don't loose the BT connexion but nobody understand me !!!
Have you tried your BT?
Have you got a task killer running that's killing your bluetooth and wifi?
Sent from my X10i using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
Just get a D802, now having one issue. When I connect to bluetooth headset and wifi together, when making call, the wifi connection become unusable, always server timeout. But if I disconnect the bluetooth, the wifi immediately back to normal.
Please help.
anyone can help?
Hi,
I have the strangest behavior with my wifi, the phone keeps connecting and disconnecting between 4G and WiFi every few seconds when i'm at home. This drains my battery in couple of hours and I can't do anything unless i turn off WiFi. I have smooth transition between 4G and Wifi enabled in settings (i've tried disabling it, all it did was to speed up connect and disconnect between 4G and wifi) Anyone else experiencing this strange behaviour with WiFi and 4g?
I have the same behavior. You need to disable "Smart network switch" under the advanced Wi-Fi settings. I have not found a fix that will allow leaving this feature enabled.
I disabled the "smart network switch" and my phone still refuses to connect to known networks that are well within signal range. It may be staying connected better once connected but I have my wifi sleep with the screen so when I wake it up, the wifi should re-connect. Not working well at all. This 5.0 update sucks, you'd think that since Verizon takes forever to get updates to flagship phones that at least they'd be well tested and stable, NOT!
Hi,
I'm experiencing annoying WiFi/Blueooth problems and I need your input on this one.
This is a very common one that has been present since the beginning of N4's life, but isn't present in all Android builds. I haven't found any nice, neat thread with proper info and description of the problem, so I'm posting one myself.
Specifics of the WiFi + Bluetooth problem are:
1. Bluetooth is ON, mouse and keyboard connected.
2. Wifi is ON, connected to a 2.4GH AP and being used.
3. After a very short period of time (mostly from 20-60s, sometimes upto 3minutes) the WiFi is still connected, but internet connection drops - pinging or opening a new browser page won't get the connection back.
4. Restarting WiFi gets internet back, but just for as long as in .3
5. If I turn one of the bluetooth devices off, internet immediately comes back online, but only like in .3
6. When Bluetooth is on with no devices connected everything is fine.
7. Turning Bluetooth on and connecting devices first, then Wifi doesn't make a difference (some poeple say this helps).
8. Router and bluetooth devices DO NOT matter and im am 100% sure of that - tested them with Note II with no problems.
This is obviously interference, but Nexus software/driver is bugged and won't handle this interference - won't reestablish connection when it's dropped (timeout).
My Nexus 4 info:
Android version: 5.1.1
Builds with the issue: CM12.1-20150829-nightly-mako / Euphoria-OS 1.1 (AUG 15) and previous Euphoria OS builds.
There are few apps that might be a workaround for this issue. They monitor the connection and reestablish it whenever it drops.
I've tested the Wifi Fixer app and it does work for me. So this is one of efficient workarounds, but still using internet is annoying as there are few seconds breaks in service at least once every 3mins, but mostly every 20-60secs.
LOGCAT:
I was just running continuos ICMP pinging and staring at the latency output while adb logcat was running on PC.
Suddenly, without any reason I could think of, connection got dropped and host become unreachable. I tried to reproduce this occurence, but unfortunetly it's "random" and appears without any apparent reason.
Code:
D/HeadsetStateMachine(21494): Disconnected process message: 10, size: 0
D/audio_hw_primary(191): disable_audio_route: reset and update mixer path: low-latency-playback
D/audio_hw_primary(191): disable_snd_device: snd_device(2: speaker)
E/WifiStateMachine(633): WifiStateMachine CMD_START_SCAN source -2 txSuccessRate=3.63 rxSuccessRate=4.05 targetRoamBSSID=any RSSI=-50
D/HeadsetStateMachine(21494): Disconnected process message: 10, size: 0
WIFI BAND:
Can't detect or connect to my 5GHz SSID while I'm connected to bluetooth devices.
Even if I connect to a 5GHz AP first and then switch BT on, the network will drop internet connection shortly or whole Wifi connection will drop (unlike with 2.4GHz).
I can test few ROMs, but it'd be better if I knew which specifically could work. Don't wanna waste time. I want to focus latest builds obviously - interested in Lollipop only.
So if you've came across this problem and somehow got it fixed then please share a solution.
