It's up to you. Install nougat if you don't want any bugs. If bugs don't bother you, and you want to have the latest version, install oreo

Oreo ROMS (& stock too for that matter) still have BT car audio issues with metadata not displaying correctly in some vehicles (including my 2013 Accord.) If this isn't of concern to you, then go O.

if you don't mind with latest security update, go with N.
I have many complaint with Oreo.

I'm using stock oreo 8.0.0, not rooted and haven't encountered any bugs, so I'd recommend oreo

One of my frnd updated to Oreo n facing many problems so wait for stabel update current one having many bugs m r8 nw using noga n its flawless !!

It's funny how many complained about bugs in Nougat, but as soon as Oreo came out, Nougat is suddenly stable, bug free and the best ROM ever made. I have no issues with the latest Oreo and recommend it over Nougat..

No issues with Oreo that bothers me.

Nougat is quite stable, I use it for two month before Oreo came. If you choose Nougat, no more update for you, however there might be custom ROM for nougat in the future since the source code has been release. If you choose Oreo you will get the update, but dont expect too much.

Oreo.
No issues here.

Nougat. Sot is 8 hours compared to 5 on oreo. Also, oreo is bugged. I wish I could upgrade to nougat.

Of course you can upgrade/downgrade as you like.
Could you explain what is your "joke" mean? or you try trolling people here?

Stable Nougat update releasing for NEM-L22

Hi folks,
As the title says - Stable Nougat update releasing for NEM-L22 (Indian variant), if you are planning to rollback to MM, can wait for couple of days to get more stable Nougat update.
If you are still not satisfied, can use the rollback file(given in honor 5X repo) and the srock MM firmware for your model to rollback.
Enjoy till then.
Any major changes or just a iterative update?
Any idea?

Mainly signal fix as few reported signal going down for 2g, 3g 4g handover. May include the latest security patches etc.
And should be stable than the previous one. Didn't get the change log yet.

Yes we got it but it is unstable and having issues with JIO .

True lol. I think there's maybe one more security patch and then we should be receiving the Oreo update, since I saw Honor recently tweet about Oreo preparation for the Honor 7x.
Yup I finally got it. Looks like it is rolling out to everyone today.

Lol. I know one of the devs for Honor USA and there is NO Oreo release for the 7x for main distribution yet. They just started the beta a month ago. Go check honor USA beta group on Facebook if you need confirmation.

Honestly I see no difference
Hi guys,
I just got this update too on my FRD L04. Since it's been a while I factory reset after an update, I did so to clean up my phone of all the other junk I've been stacking. Well this was a huge mistake because now the my bluetooth earphone won't connect to my phone. Before factory resetting, and on B392 it worked perfectly fine, I don't know why and how the factory reset messed with the Bluetooth connectivity. Anyone have a solution for this? Thanks.

8.1 Oreo Update

Hello! I bought a Xiaomi Mi A1 last month. I didn't update it to 8.0 because of the problems faced by users. Then, I heard the official 8.1 update just got released. My question is, is it worth it to update it now?

Camera is fine, about battery you can know only after few days...
8.1 is better for sure than 8.0, backup you SMS first because some users got their sms deleted. Camera is same as it was in every firmware. Battery is also same, no drain problem. So yeah, you can upgrade to 8.1
You are not going to face any changes from 8.0 to 8.1, same androids but just minor changes in UI and some new features, thats it

Excuse me, but pie is running fine, perhaps try to reset the phone with formatting the cache. Did you update to the November patch N935f??

It's running fine agreed but not as good as it was on Oreo...
Yeah I've done everything, I'm getting around 3.5 hours of sot too which is great but I just don't like pie.
And I haven't updated to the November patch yet. Is there any improvement with the patch?

Battery life is not the problem here it's the overall experience with pie that I think doesn't suit the Fe. How I dread updating it. Both my Note 8 and 9 are on Oreo... Thankfully and I ain't updating them... No way

I don't see what's so great about oreo in FE. I feel the changes in pie made the interface more easy to use and practical. But don't you just flash the official oreo from sammobile?? Samsung isn't like apple that verifies firmwares, or have things changed?!

Oreo was better with battery and the overall experience for the phone was better. For me at least.
I've tried flashing Oreo but yes Samsung does sign the firmware so once you update a particular boot version it's impossible to go back. You can but you'll end up losing signals and Wi-Fi.
Which is why it's useless to downgrade. I'm still looking for a way but the closest is to lose Wi-Fi and phone signals.
I'm using my 8 until I find a solution but miss the Fe

Official vs Beta

Hey guys, I am new on OnePlus . Have the Oneplus 8 Pro with official firmware. I see that OnePlus have beta firmware available. So my question is what to do. Is the beta safe and do you guys prefer beta above official? For example , this beta build is from December 29th.. yesterday ...
And can I go back to official after installing the beta?
I know it sounds a bit nooby, but this is my first OnePlus. Was on Xiaomi and Samsung before..
Please advise...

It's completely safe and you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a stable release.
Just be careful when updating or reverting back to stable. One of the previous releases forced a wipe.
Very unlikely to happen again but that would be my only gripe

You'll get updates as new betas are released, personally I stick with stable, I prefer it.
Betas get new features which may or may not come to stable.
