Man why did you started a new thread just for this. You can go to that thread and ask your question there.
The answer is yes. Follow EXACTLY the first post from OP. It should be fine. Dual SIM should be 950FD not 950F

Questions SM-G9350 specific (Dual-SIM with SD820)

Hey.
I ask myself if the dual sim device SM-G9350 (Hong Kong model I think) with SD 820 comes with google play service/play store out of the box.
Is there someone who already owns it and can tell?
If its not installed next question would be if it is possible to just download the Google Play services apk and install it to get play store and others to work.
thanks!
Dont think the hong kong model is the sd820 could be wrong but my hk note 4 was exynos
Related to these sources you can at least tell this is a Chinese model.
http://www.techwalls.com/samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-model-numbers-differences/
http://technosamigos.com/samsung-galaxy-s7-galaxy-s7-edge-model-numbers/
Hk is sd820 i read beforehand
So.. Cleared that.. ;-D
What about the Play Services, PlayStore etc?
Anybody?

Oh... yes.. sorry
Another question I could not answer by googling - does it have or not have a region lock?
But how could you answer this if you're in the destination country the device is sold for.
Edit: Did you have a label saying "HK or Asia SIM-Card only" on the packaging?
I don't think it have any lock ,but I can't find any root yet
Got mine (SM-9350) a few days ago via eBay while I was in Chicago. Now I am back home in the Netherlands. So I can confirm that:
- there is no region lock as I could do cell and data in all places mentioned. Nor had the box a sticker of a region lock
- it is the Snapdragon
- it has the Sony sensor
Let me know if you want some more info

dual sim or not?
Hey thanks there for the info,
I too am obsessed with the sd820 processor over exynos for its better GPU...could you please confirm if the SM-G9350
1) has dual sim or just a dual sim tray just for show?
2) does it have google play pre-installed?
3)which firmware version its using?

Is it confirmed, that the G9350 like the US Versions with SD is locked down with both bootloader and SD secure boot?
Is it possible to get this model to work with Verizon CDMA \ LTE in the U.S. ? I bought this phone and all the bands are supported but it will not find the network.

P8 Lite - Only one sim active

G'day fellas,
Nas here from Australia. I am a newbie to this forum so apologies in advance if this topic has been covered/answered already.
Background info
I recently purchased a brand new P8 Lite from someone who had received this as a complementary phone from their mobile provider "Telstra". I bought the phone with the aim of combining my personal and work number onto just one phone.
Issue
Although the phone is unlocked however only one sim port is active. So I need your expert help in activating the sim 2 port to be able to use my other number. Please let me know if you require any specific info, I will try my best to provide all the info.
Thanks in advance, Nas
If it is the single SIM phone, you have to flash the dual SIM firmware! There is a good manual in this forum!
if it is already the dual SIM model: the second SIM can only connect via 2G. for example: if you use a carrier, that has no 2G (GSM / EDGE) coverage (there are some carriers), you cannot use this SIM in slot 2.
(sorry for my english)
Thanks for the reply.
How do I know that mine is a single sim phone? Is there any guide available?
Nas

There are couple of ways to get your bootloader unlocked...
The first one is by going to huawei's site and asking for them, you'll find it in this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=67372756
The other way is by using Kingroot app and running few command
http://huaweip8lite.blogspot.com/2016/03/bootloader-huawei-p8-lite-14-huawei.html?m=1
The email way is old and they wont reply..
Try the first method, be sure to sign up using your Facebook id.
The second method, well, used kingroot and fewpeople faced lot of issues using it (personally I used this method to get my code)

Rooting

Hello,
I was just wondering if someone could help me with regards to rooting my S7 Edge? I have just returned to Samsung after being with the Nexus 6p for a year (Google screwed over the nexus users with the pixel - hence my return to Samsung)
I tried to root earlier but got a bootloader exception error - it appears Samsung devices aren't as easy to root as they were in yesteryear! Could someone tell me how i go about rooting, flashing TWRP and possibly flashing a custom rom? I would research but all the threads i come across are for the Exynos variant of the S7 Edge. For the record, i have the UK Snapdragon version - SM-G935F.
Any help would be massively helpful.
Best Regards,
Speedy!:laugh::laugh::laugh:

no, i believe all snap dragons are the same. but just make a back up to be on the safe side.
Hi,
The 935F is actually the Exynos variant, download CPU-Z to check it. So, following any Exynos tutorial would be of good use for you .

Hi,
That's the problem, he says his device is SM-935F, however that device has an Exynos processor. Either he confused the processor in his device or he said the wrong model version.

Hi,
Since the Snapdragon version is limited to the US market (mostly under carriers) and the Chinese market I believe there are more custom ROM, kernels, etc in the Exynos model. However that's not to say the development is huge, since the Exynos processor has a very bad documentation and source code releasing.
You can check the development and general threads for more information on rooting and customizing your experience .
Happy flashing,
~Lord

I can see in your signature you have the G935F, that's the exynos version, but just check cpuz to be sure, if yes that's the best version anyways Bootloader unlock is available to exynos but not snapdragon, there are a lot of custom roms and even kernels, but don't expect CM or any CM/AOSP Based rom, sadly, since it's exynos, you will only find Touchwiz based roms

Short answer.
No, no, yes.
Longer answer.
The S7 edge has a locked bootloader so getting another OS is not possible as with just about all the Samsung phones.
No need to get another phone as there is a way to root your phone with the eng.img way. I am not that familar with the Exynos phones, but I have seen more choices for those than with the Qualcomm phones.
If you don't want to root your phone, you can install the U version of the OS to get rid of the bloatware.
Hope this helps.

Not for sure what you mean by "changing my version to the US version" but if you mean to the U version of the Samsung S7 Edge, then heres the link to how to install the U firmware for your phone. You have the Qualcomm version of the processor, correct?
