Hello to everybody.
I read somewhere that the cpu on hd2 is set slower than the maximum.
Is it true? there's a possibility to benchmark it or not?
If true I suppose it is necessary to use cooked roms (when available) to set it to 1 GHz and so obtain the top performance...
I am asking it because I am a newbie of the forum, of windows mobile and smartphone in general...
Thanks a lot.
don't believe everything that you read.
AFAIK there's no benchmark that supports snapdragon, so how can it possibly say what the processor is, never mind what speed it runs at?
***EDIT*** I speak too soon..
looks like sktools does support snapdragon in it's benchmark in the latest version:
Integer test..
I got 812.05
theres a HTC TOUCH HD2 WM6.5
Qualcomm (R) QSD8258B 1GHZ
as one of the comparison devices..
it scores 813.45
DAMN MY HD2 is slow ****
**** ROFL as if
to be exact, it totally doesn`t matter for me, but>
i read somewhere, that snapdragon is going to be (or it is) used in some subnotebooks or whatever are they calling... and for PDA`s is underclocked from 1,3 GHz to 1024 MHz... don`t know if it is true...
the CPU is not "underclocked"
but the problem is that inbuild graphic accelerator is not working, HTC did not supply drivers for some reason(some say legal issues)
i really dont get it.. why they build something in this mobile phone, when they dont want to use it.. are they $%#@!!**%# or what i just hope, some "masterhacker" will make a driver for this baby and we will have a real "unleashed beast"

o-h-m-y-g-o-d... really?so I have the confirm that in HTC are doing a really bad job... I mean:we have the Ferrari but we use GPL instead of gasoline?
Wow another "HTC didn't supply the drivers" BULL**** thread! Can you stop spreading lies please?
Mods should closes this.
Bad drivers
It would not surprise me if the drivers were giving lower performance than possible.
This really did happen with the Touch Cruise which was painfully slow,
until Guys here developed some very good drivers, which made the TC perform at much higher speeds than originally.
Good news is that the same guys, Chainfire & Neo are working on improved drivers for graphics & processor.

No idea, that's in Gameloft's hands. Previously they have been fairly swift to update things for Exynos devices, but that was when Samsung wasn't releasing two versions, they may not be as quick to do so here given the much more limited roll out of the N9000.

Nope,GT9305 is even worse for gaming than GT9300. S3 is getting old and it's not smooth in gaming anymore. MC series were always laggy and stuttery,so if you want to be gamer of that game, then you will have some trouble. Other than that,S3 still handles games like Most Wanted,Asphalt 7 and 8 (medium) pretty well. MC5 has some constant FPS drops, maybe that will be fixed in future. But if you have some money,I recommend you to buy a better, newer device.
Hey jup i noticed that the graphics sucks but Unforgivable i dont have tje money to get a better device because i am young father of a son soo the extreemly nice game performance must wait for me

Nothing that a bit of... overclocking can do [emoji41]
Look, S3 is old, but, with the fact being old there is another fact, it can be tweaked good.
Install a custom rom by your choice and pair it up with a good kernel, play a bit with the clock speeds and governors and you will have a speedy phone.
FYI, MC5 on everything stock for me works on 15-20 fps, wich is good, but stuttery, but with OC beeing buffed it can top on 35 fps, wich is uncomparable to the stock, no freezes and works like a charm.
But, the drawback is, battery will run down preety fast so have a charger by your side.
Cheers
Oke thnx thats a bit more info then the first yea because the money is a problem in these times with kids in Euro zones soo gonna look for it for the rom when the phone arrive

GT I9305 has Snapgdragon Dual Core processor and Adreno 220 GPU.
GT I9300 has Exynos Quad Core processor and Mali-400 GPU.
So,no,there's pretty big diffrerence.

I think you have mistaken i9305 with some other device
OP asked about i9305, so I have to tell that it has the same gaming performance as i9300, however for everyday use (it is important then) it has 2GB of RAM instead of just 1GB (as i9300).

No mistakes, lol. GT I9305 has Snapdragon processor because Exynos doesn't contain LTE support and Snapdragon does.
There's a chinese version of Galaxy S3 which has Exynos processor and 2GB of RAM,but GT I9305 has that specs. You should google it,as it seems like you don't know about both S3's much.

That's the Galaxy S3 Neo which have a Snapdragon A7... Check out http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9300i_galaxy_s3_neo-6289.php

About performance of the I9305, i can run all the market at full speed, emulate PSP(with PPSSPP), N64, PS1, etc
I can also run Monster Hunter Unite 3rd(HD version for PS3) at full speed, incredible.
More ram daily is much appreciated. Fast Multitasking and no "lag" load in games.

Hi ! Someone know anything about it ? Asus gonna release Android Marshmallow on Zenfone 2, and the GPU (PowerVR G6430) is compatible with this new api but do you think they gonna release this update with last build of android with Vulkan ? (Google announced this API will be compatible Marshmallow.)
Vulkan really increase performances with our GPU (PowerVR G6430) :
And a technical demo (real time) of vulkan on smartphones with Unreal Engine 4 :
No, asus has never been good with optimizing gpu, camera
But they are changing , who knows. , well if 820 also supports it, because s7 has it why does not lg g5 and mi5 have it.
Either its quite new to do developers or they aint interested in it
Wow, that demo video is jaw dropping. It's incredible what mobile devices are capable of these days.
I hope this happend
Maybe you can write this in here

Only the U.S. version on s7 has the 820 everyone else will be using the exynox chip
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using XDA Free mobile app
Exynos is just hyped overloaded trash. No CPU documentation No SRC is worthless to us XDA users. Even QSD820 can barely make the AOSP or CM make work properly..Oh and the Bootloader, It's got a chastity belt from samhell...
I suppose this opens up a lot more for smartphones in terms of graphic capabilities, hope soon I will be able to play a ported version of Star Wars Battlefront 2 on my phone (yeah I could use the PSP version but that version of the game sucks).
And yes more than likely Vulkan support is coming in the Marshmallow update.
hi, I'm very interested in everything about vulkan since i could see some videos about it. But my knowledge about api, android and rom's is not that good, so i would thank you if i could get some answers.
1 - Is this implementation of API a work for ASUS or Intel?
2 - Since i saw that PowerVR Rogue has now SDK(i dont know what it is) for Vulkan, Is ANYONE able to make a custom rom that could use Vulkan?
3 - I've heard that Android N will have native support for Vulkan. Does it mean that if i download a custom rom, like a cyanogenmod, for Android N to my Zenfone 2 i will have the benefits of using Vulkan?
4 - Does anyone know if that Galasy S7 that had 135k+ on antutu was using Vulkan? Because my Zenfone 2 is a great phone and only scores 65k, it's scary to thing that a S7 should have more than the double of hardware capacity that my Zenfone has. I thing that should be because of vulkan, but i need to hear it from someone who knows what's talking.
I hope to get answers for this questions. Thank you all.

1) Both Asus need intel to update graphics drivers to implement Vulkan
2) Nope still need drivers
3) This means it's implemented but not compatible with every phone running N version as SoC makers and OEMs need to update the source code
4) Galaxy s7 is superior in any way to zenfone 2 this means gpu and cpu. Vulkan api will start working only on some games if implemented if the devs don't use vulkan api then this means no visual/performance upgrade.

Our GPU is fully compatible, it's up to manufactures to include it other wise it's gonna be really hard for CM Mantainers to include it even partially.
Hello guys . recently i just bought a leeco pro 3 ai edition model LEX653 . 32gb version though... the spec were Helio x23 with Mali 880 and 4 GB RAM . but i am currently doubting the spec as the phone get laggy even while playing low graphic game (idle RO etc) and the loading on some game (AOV for example) is quite slow (slower than my old Lenovo k3 note which had a lower spec) . any idea guys or is it my phone is "faulty" ? thanks

The issue is the hardware. The Helio X23 sucks for gaming. It's GPU is way worse than the Snapdragon 820's. Should have looked at reviews of phones with the chipset, or the phone itself, before buying.
...Is usually the case. But you did mention that the K3 Note with lesser specs is faster. In that case, it's probably just eUI. You'll have to debloat your ROM and uninstall bloatware LeEco apps using adb. Or switch the ROM, but I wouldn't know about that. Look at the Pro3 AI sub section in this forum.

All I know is that high-end Mali GPUs aren't as strong as high-end Adreno GPUs. Again, use adb to uninstall bloatware and see if that makes a difference. LeEco is notorious for its awful eUI skin over Android. It slows everything down. The amount of RAM free usually doesn't matter, especially for 64-bit phones with 4+ gigs of RAM.
Which game are you trying to play, and is it always online? Do you need an Internet connection to play it?
