No Audio after installing Custom Rom - Huawei P10 Lite Questions & Answers

Hello guys,
i tried to install a custom rom and i actually managed it to work. After 2 days i noticed, that there is no sound (not even with headphones). Im not sure what to do now cause i didnt do a backup and i tried so many things but the audio doesnt work. When i installed the custom Rom, i formated the data on the phone, was that a bad idea?
Is there a way to fix this, i have no idea what to do.
Thanks guys

I've had this issue and I'm not sure the cause.
I fixed it once by using KingOfMezi's TWRP and stock firmware compilation.

AIO Security Off Corrupted my HD2!

I have recently installed an application called AIO Security, included in a package with SRS WOW HD because I wanted to increase HD's sound volume.
Now I have annoying issues after this application was installed.
While browsing through music files I hear very weird noises. Also when I try to use zoom function, grey picture appears instead of zoomed image.
I tried to uninstall all applications I have installed. Neither soft and hard rest did help.
Any suggestion or solution how I can get my sweet HD2 in previous (original) condition?
Thank you guys!
I am sorry to hear this.
I presume if anyone could tell you what does this application do. What specific changes, you could probably restore them manually.
Just thinking laud, but I believe these guys here will help you!
Are you using a cooked rom? Flash a stock rom to see if it works.
I use original (Vodafone) ROM.
Can you be more specific lude?
I don't see how a hard reset wont solve your problem since the AIO security wasn't included in the stock vodafone rom...
Me neither. Do you have any possible solution?
Do you have HSPL? If you do, I'd probably flash another stock HTC rom and see if the problem went away.

[Q] CM7.1 eating up Memorycard space

Hello members.
I just found a strange issue that I have started facing lately whenever I try to flash a custom ROM on my Defy.
Current stock ROM was 2.2.2
I rooted it and tried This ROM. After flashing I realized that the ROM is slowly slowly eating up my space on my sd card. I checked my sd and it showed an ANDROID folder with all app backed up.
I tried playing with the Install location in Cynogenmod settings but still no help.
Tried Internal, Auto , External options but still nothing
Then I changed the ROM to 2.3.7 posted by Quarx hoping it would solve my issue but I had same issue again.
Please tell me what do I do ?
I want to use custom ROMs real bad :3
Still waiting for a response. :/

[Q] No Sound after flashing a custom ROM, how to find out stock modem?

Well, I've made a huge mistake not backing up my phone immediately after rooting it and now I have to suffer the consequences for my dumb actions. I didn't think I'd run into much trouble, as I never have with either my Galaxy S3 or Desire HD before that and flashing countless roms.
Well, after rooting my phone with chainfire auto-root, I immediately flashed this rom and it was working fine, until I decided to flash my favorite Android Revolution HD rom.
Immediately after flashing it I received an error and ended up without Wi-Fi, or sound. There was a file posted called Wi-Fi fix, but it didn't work for me after flashing it, trying another modem did help with the WiFi (but still no sound) and it wont let me unlock my SIM.
I'm at a loss here, and not really sure what to do (other than trying to flash all of the modems available for 9505).
Tried flashing stock firmware through odin, but ended up with a failure to write.
If anyone could share some light on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, it happens a lot. On what rom are you excactly?
Can you try this?
1. Make sure you are on modem MJ5
2. Do a full wipe in recovery.
3. Flash this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2372286
According to that chef, you shouldn't need to flash any fixes after.
Or you can just try to flash this kernel. But i'm not sure on what rom you are:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2273437
I did flash that ROM, and the modem, but it ended up freezing as soon as I opened the phone app and I still had no sound, wifi was working though.
Ended up flashing I9505XXUDMHB_I9505PHNDMHB_I9505XXUDMHB_HOME.tar.md5 through odin and that seems to have fixed my problems, phew.
Same problem After flashing leneageOS,
Device Mi note 4, karnel 3.18.
Could anyone help ! Please..

Terrible mistake

Hi folks!
I did a terrible mistake on my rooted SM-G901F yesterday, maybe I was drunk or something!..
I noticed that the settings process was draining a lot of battery, so I decided to do a backup with TiBackup, and then uninstall the settings.apk to see if it makes any changes. There was the mistake...
The changes are that the phone boots properly and seems to work well, but it's not the case anymore with the touchscreen wich doesn't work at all, so I'm totally unable to use it.
The only thing I managed to do for now is to retrieve the settings.apk backup but I need to force the installation by USB I presume.
Any clues? It may be quite simple but it's out of my knowledge, your help would be greatly appreciated.
After some research it seems possible to install an APK in a .tar container with ODIN, but I'm unsure about that.
Or the other solution is to re flash the 5.0.2 official ROM, am'I gonna loose all data if I do it?

Help, im stuck with no sound, the weirdest thing ever!

So let's start cuz it's a big story. So i have a Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505, rooted, TRWP Custom Recovery, i had plenty ROM's on him, everytime the ROMS worked perfectly except the bugs they already had....
The last ROM i had was Optimized CM12.1 JDCTeam. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...lop/exclusive-antaresone-alucard24-s-t3066696) it worked fine....
One day, they made an update of the ROM. Everything worked fine, until a morning 2-3 days after i made the update.... my alarm clock started ringing (as it was meant to be ) but the screen wasn't turning on.
I restarted the phone...but the alarm was still ringing when the phone restarted then it restarted itself. After this self restart....the phone booted with those optimizations (like the cache was deleted.) After it booted...surprise. No sound. At all. No sound in media player, no sound from calls, no sound when recieveing calls, no sound from my mic too. Then i noticed that movies from Youtube and from my gallery were playing in slowmotion, or not playing at all.
I though it was the ROM ...so i installed other ROMs....no success....all the ROMs i've installed had the same problem. No sounds at all.
Then i found a ROM, that played the Boot animation sound but all the other sounds were still not working. So of course this means it can't be a hardware problem anymore.
So back from the start.
Then i found this ROM, an S6 port : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9505-develop/rom-albe95-s6-port-1-0-t3092479
This ROM specifies that i must install the latest lollipop bootloaders and modems for it to work. So i've installed the modems and the bootloader given in the ROM topic....then the ROM and surprize....the sounds were working again. But the new problem was that the SIM reading stopped working and the rom was unstable. I've tried other modems to no success for the SIM.
Other Lollipop and KK roms, thinking that the bootloader or the modem was the one that fixed the sounds, didn't work so i concluded is not the bootloader. And then i've installed this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9505-develop/rom-albe95-s6-port-1-0-t3092479 which at start it didn't played sounds. Then i've installed the bootloader from Albe95 S6 port post...and surprisingly sounds started to work on this ROM too. But from time to time the sounds dissapear..and i have to wait like some seconds to minutes for them to come back + the SIM still not working on this ROM . So somehow is the bootloader....but i dont get why it's working only on S6 ports..not even on MM ROM's is not working...
Can anyone help me ?
Edit : I forgot to mention that my partitions are F2FS....if this matters....
Posting a wall of text as you did here is a certain way to ensure your post gets ignored. You want to edit it and break your post up into discrete paragraphs so it is both readable and understandable.

Thanks for the tip I've edited the post....it is better now ? or should i cut some paragraphs?
No, that's fine. I probably should have PMed that to you rather than post it, but it's a bit too late for that. Sorry.
Anyway, your symptoms, where it occurs erratically, could still be a hardware issue. However, I think it more likely that your internal storage "glitched", and that is causing your problems. Make sure you have a backup of your IMEI and EFS by using Wanam's EFS Backup tool. Then grab an I9505 PIT file, a stock ROM, and Odin. Use them to partition the internal storage (which will format it), and install the stock ROM. See if your sound issues are fixed throughout the ROM. If so, then replace the recovery with TWRP and install the ROM you prefer.
If it still happens even after going through this, then it's almost certainly a hardware issue.
