Bosion it is, I guess, what can I do ? - Android Head-Units

Hello guys, I just bought on AliExpress what I think it is a Bosion device, it's a 2gigs of RAM with a allwiner A7 chipset.
It's enough for me, not so much laggy, really cheap and it almost does just what I want it to do actually but I was wondering if I could customise it a little bit.
I see tons of roms for px3 or px5 or rk devices but I can't even find what kind is mine in the settings, it all seems hidden
Should I forget customise it or do I have hope ?
Thank you.

Dasaita Hot Audio - Android 8.0 - 4GB of RAM - PX5 overview

I know there are various threads open discussing various items, but I figured if anyone doesn't have an Oreo unit with 4GB of RAM, you might want to see how it looks.
This is Model number HA2162-V840-8 for a Jeep which has a 7 inch screen, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a Rockchip PX5 Octa-Core 64-Bit Coretex A53 processor, and runs Android 8.0 Oreo

I think the Xtrons is similar, but I dont have that one, I just have the Dasaita, and @hotaudio frequently posts here

Hello,
I am thinking to change my old mtcb rk3188 1gb unit to a newer one. I am between dasaita hotaudio (7in 1024*600) and xtrons (6.2 in 800*400).
Are you still happy with the dasaita unit? Do you run a stock ROM w/o root, or a custom ROM?
Thanks in advance

Hey Mike,
Are you still rocking the Dasaita?
I recently sold my car with my 2GB Joying Intel Sofia in it. It was an ok unit but a little sluggish at times and always seemed to have a Bluetooth disconnect/reconnect bug.
Looking for a replacement now and debating who to go with. Seems to be a toss up between Joying and Dasaita at the moment.
Looking for a 4gb/32gb universal 2din (with hardware buttons) I know from your previous posts that you have dabbled in a few of these units! What do you think is the best in your opinion?

help what head unit to buy px5 or t8 cheap or expensive ???

Hello everyone ,
so I want to buy for my Ford s-max a new head unit currently I have an old Ersin that runs on something thats not Android and is terrible, With so many options on the market and so many reviews I have a hard decision in buying a new head unit. Px5, px30 or t8 ,what brand, 2 din or slim? I have kept my eye on these 3 but was hoping for some expert advice and or suggestions (Price Quality)
Ownice k3 low or high
Infidnavi IFND
Thank you if any advice can be given
That depends on what you're looking for. Do you want a DSP, are you going to customize it, what's your budget... All I would suggest is go Rockchip or Intel. As for K3 high or low one of the major difference is the IPS screen. Nothing like a clear large screen. AFAIK there's only custom firmware work being done on PX3 and 5.

Thanks for the info , my budget would be max 250 euros , dsp is not a must , Ive seen reviews on aliexpress saying it makes no difference, but I have no real opinion about DSP, if you suggest any HU that you have had experience I would be greatful. I dont want to make a mistake 3 times:good:

How to guarantee MTCD/E

I'm looking to replace my aging MTCB RK3188 head unit which I've been able to keep using thanks to Malaysk's ROM so I'd like to make sure I can flash on to whatever new HU I get since it has several improvements over stock ROMs.
I've read several horror stories about people buying their head units and not being able to flash a custom ROM on them because they don't have an MTCD/E MCU and those seem to be the only ones that have any ROMs for them at the moment so I come to you guys for help in finding something that's MTCD/E and won't break the bank. Everybody seems to agree that the Dasaita Max6 is the best there is, but that's over US$400 (sometimes closer to $500) and I can't justify that amount to myself.
My requirements are universal HU, either single or double DIN (don't care either way), 10" screen, Android 9, 4GB of RAM (don't care to much about ROM) and preferably PX5 or PX6 CPU because I think anything else would get old and slow quickly.
If it has a DSP or the screen can rotate vertically it would be a plus, but I don't know how useful rotating the screen would really be so I don't mind too much.
Thanks in advance guys and let me see your suggestions.
I can think of 3 ways to guaranty it, search the forum for system info, read thru the MTCD MCU list or ask the seller if the HU has an MTC MCU or if it's made by Microntek. I guess you could just ask for recommendations here but those threads don't seem to get much response.
Personally I can tell you the Ownice K3's are MTCE and I would suggest to go for the K3 high if only for the IPS screen. The pro version is PX6 now and adds an HDMI output if that's any use to you. It is MTCP but the only difference appears to be it unlocks the full functionality of the DSP EQ. Check out their Ali store they might even have one with a custom bezel for your car.
Try Enonon they make px5 and px6 . i have px5 mtce octa core 4 gb ram 64 gb rom butt mine is 7" touchscreen double din.
Amazon has some starting under 200.00 Eincar has some

looking for thoughts on head unit

I have a long road trip that is instigating looking at replacing the headunit again. I was looking at the eonon GA9480A but the reviews say it's slow to respond, doesn't catch all the touches etc. and I'm guessing it's because its only a PX30 w/ 2gb of ram.
I found a Bosion PX6 w/ 4gb of ram on aliexpress but worried that it won't fix the problem or that the brand may be sub-par since I can't find a lot of reviews online. Anyone have experience? will the better CPU and more ram address the responsiveness issues brought up on the Eonon GA9480A reviews?
Thanks for the help
Dont bother with the Boison Px6. I got one and its going straight back. too many issues to list but long story short is it uses an STM32 MCU which doesnt work well.

Any chance there is a "gold standard" head unit currently for PX6?
Just look for one with MTCE MCU. I just ordered an insudar for £240 but lots buy Xtrons or Joying but they are a bit more expensive for the same thing.
Most of these HU has resolution of 1024 x 600. I searched for better resolution ones and found none in price range of ~£200 so gave up and bought a cheap PX6 unit. Even with my £25 unit with 1GB RAM on old toyota car, never had issues with touches, responsiveness and overall general functionality. You already have PX30 with a good support here in XDA so don't know what kind of improvements you're after.

What are good current specs?

I have an old Pumpkin 7" MTCB unit I'm looking to replace (RK3188, 800X480 screen and I think 512MB RAM). I flashed Malaysk's ROM on it with Android 4.4.4 but it's really slow at this point so it needs to go. I've been looking at different options but I've been out of the loop for a while and I'm having a hard time comparing head units, mostly because of the different CPUs. I remember PX6 CPUs used to be the best but now there are plenty others that appear to have the same specs but are not called PX6 (they mostly just say octacore).
Also which brands seem to have the best track record so far? Dasaita used to be considered the best but I don't know if that's still the case. I've also seen a few units with automatic rotating screens, but I don't know if that would really be useful or more of a gimmick so if anybody has any experience with these please chime in.
Ideally I'd like to get a 10" screen with DSP and 4GB of RAM (I think 2GB of RAM would become too slow a lot sooner so I'd like to avoid it). My budget would be around $300 (I could go higher if it's really worth it) so please let me know your recommendations.
Thanks in advance.
FYT based 7862UIS 3GB or more. The MTCD units IMHO have been left behind.
You'll need to do some forum reading, it's all there
