Unlocking with Rebel SIM II

I managed finally to unlock my LG Quantum with Rebel SIM II product. For my suprise in addition to Rebel SIM, USB Smart Card reader were also included in package.
Before Rebel SIM method. I tried unlocking codes without luck. My device was eventually in such state that it was prompting PUK and then PIN code in loop - entering PUK code or unlock code in prompt didn't help. I also tried flash between AT&T <-> Bell firmwares, no luck.
And of course Rebel SIM wasn't working straight from box.. I tried it on several unlocked handsets and got "no SIM card found" error.
The solution were to reflash Rebel SIM card, which of course had some issues when doing it on Windows 7.
Here are the instructions to flash Rebel SIM card firmware. Some one of you might be luckier and the Rebel SIM card works just out of box.. Or you might not need the workaround for Smart Card Win7 driver. It all depends what OS or Smart Card reader you are using.

B. Installing Smartcard reader driver for Windows 7

1. Plugin Smart Card reader to USB port
2. Wait until Windows 7 installs driver from Windows Update, it will fail installing one driver.
3. Go to Device Manager, and look for Smart Card device without proper driver
4. Right click Smart Card device -> Update driver software->Browse computer for software->Let me pick
5. Select "Smart Card Filter" from "Common hardware types" list
C. Flashing Rebel SIM firmware

1. Plugin Smart Card reader to USB port with Rebel SIM card + dummy SIM
2. Open Rebel Configurator software
3. Re-select FT SCR 2000 0 from reader dropdown list (will reread Smart Card)
-> File loaded
-> FT SCR 2000 0
-> 3B 96 11 40 .........
-> Standard card in reader
4. Open custom firmware
- rebel-II_v1.cardfm
5. Write firmware & presets

hi guys, I've exactly the same problem with mine quantum, but I missed something, how this rebel simcard works? it unlocks the simcard instead of the cell phone? making it looks like the official carrier that was preset at factory? my quantum is at&t locked, and I'm trying to use an Oi (brazil carrier) simcard.

Hello, i have an Lg L3 e400 phone with the latest version of cm9 nightly which worked fine with my old sim card.
But with the new sim card of my new carrier, I have few problems :
PIN number is not asked at startup so I disabled sim card PIN lock.
I do not have APN, and cannot add one : it's not there after I saved it.
The menu set up SIM lock is greyed.
When I install stock rom, the sim card is correctly detected and everything is working fine.

Lemfo LF 17

I got the lemfo lf 17 since may 2017. A watch, that satisfied all my needs. But now (I'm not sure) after a system update the watch stucks when a sim card is inserted. Without sim card everything works as usual.
What can I do? I ordered a new sim card from my provider, but this doesn't help.
Firmware is labeled as followed: LF17-1503563834

RR Oreo 8.1 can't detect Sim Card

Hi guys,
so I have a g530h dual sim(xxu), I had a KitKat android version 4.4.4 and was really slow sometimes, so I wanted to test some different Roms and I'm new at it but I know my ways in the computer so I wasn't totally lost. I have a old totally working Rom I don't like, and the RessurectionRemix I flashed recently(I couldn't find a LineageOS to work on it), but it's not detecting the Sim Card and the camera is not working.
I need the Sim Card to work in the RR and I would like the camera working too, the IMEI is there when I dial *#06# but the Sim Card won't work. I saw some attempt to solve this kind of problem pasting a lib in /system/lib but is was for another Rom and another device the RR have only empty directory in my internal storage /system/tmp/local.
Can I copy files from the other rom to make it work?
Or you recommend a similar rom in wich the sim works?

p8lite alice 21, disable sim slot without removing it

Hi guys,
on stock rom of p lite 2015 alice21, it's possible to disable one of the two sim cards, for ex to avoid draining battery?
I have lineage 14 working well today, with few problems but I deal with them, but I don't see the option to disable a sim card without removing it from the slot..
