Wear24 incoming calls - Wear OS Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So far it seems everything works as it should with my watch but I do not get notifications when an incoming call comes through to my cell. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? Also I'm not connected VIA SIM card and don't plan to do so. Any help is appreciated!

For anyone who may run into this. Note this is only for those who don't activate the LTE sim and add to your plan
- factory reset
- let AW update to latest
- update all apps
- disable SIM
- DO NOT SETUP THE CALL SETUP APP

Hi,
I have the exact issues of calls not notified.
Are the update (last part) of your post the fix for it?
Thanks!

Yeah give those steps a try. It takes some time because you have to let things update. I'd suggest trying to get your WiFi setup so it can use that to update and keep your Bluetooth off until it's done otherwise it'll try and do so through Bluetooth and that's just too damn slow.

Awesome. Now you get to enjoy all the perks. Only thing you can't do is take a call with the watch. Honestly I don't see a good use case for that anyways. My use case is to be able to ignore calls without having to pull my phone out. Very handy in meetings.

Yes! Thanks for your help!
The main use for me is similar: being able to see who's calling and decide if I want to reach for my phone
Also, I just realized the way the watch is connected matters to call notification as well. Hope it wasn't something everyone else already knew:
I found out watch screen notification for calls will only work when airplane mode is turned off (even with sim disabled) and watch is connected to the phone through bluetooth. Wifi on watch wouldn't do the trick. If airplane mode is on, the call screen will not come on no matter what type of connection there was.
According to some users, using only BT connection saves battery life anyway!

I'm not sure what the conditions are, but I'm getting incoming call notifications on my wear 24, and I run in airplane mode with all radios except Bluetooth turned off...

Make and receive calls
After phone is setup and no calls or incoming calls that's all I found you do was go to settings, apps, system apps, Verizon messages app and disable and then enable and back to main screen click calling setup and 911 address page comes up click address to use and you should see phone calling activated pop up on screen and should then be able to make and receive calls but you'll need to connect earbuds or headset because Mic was disabled after 2.0 update. Hope this works. I did notice the first time doing this you have to click on remove updates.

(Req) App that sends all calls to voicemail

When Im listening to my Pandora internet radio from my G1 in the car, the worst thing I hate is when someone calls me! It stops the music, and sometimes it will start back up right after the call ends, but sometimes it hangs and doesn't want to reload, and I hate being interrupted in the middle of a good song, is there anyway an app can be created that you can turn on (preferably with a widget) that sends everybody's call to the voicemail? Then when im done with the internet radio, I can turn calls back on? I know that it can be done by using call forwarding from settings, but that's too much, I just want a one click app that can do it right away, besides Im on a month to month plan right now (called Flexpay with T-mobile) and call forwarding doesn't work with it.
if one already exists please share...thanks.

That would turn off all wireless connection and kill his internet radio..
Well its quite simple to come up with a convenient way to forward the calls straight to VM and deactivate that mode after you are done listening to Pandora.
Tmobile has a series of star and pound codes that allow quick configuration of call forwarding/cancelling call forwarding. You could use the shortcuts to create a one click dial for two different numbers. One to enable the mode "Straight to VM" and one to disable this mode.
This may not be what you are looking for but is definitely an easier way to help you out.
This is your activating number if you are using Tmobile VM system:
**21*18056377249# (Note some may provide the same number except with a "3" where the "9" is at the end, they both should work)
This is your deactivating number:
## 21#
***SORRY! I did not realize you were Flexpay until just now. This would only work for Postpaid accounts. Tmobile just recently started the ability of letting Flexpay customers convert their accounts into postpaid. Your account may or may not qualify to do this and there is no extra charge of course to convert. Contact customer care to check and see if you would be eligible.
Hope this helps.

Call Blocker - Free - you might here it ring once but after it sends the calls directly to voicemail.
set the option to Block Phone numbers or something like that.

Edit: only allows wifi, can't get my edge/2g/3g services,....but ah well that'll do for now, I've found that Pandora loads much quicker on wifi anyway, with my extended battery I can run wifi all day, only thing is Im constantly connecting to the closest signals in range, anyway I could set up unlimited wifi access with T-mobile?

Is it possible to use the ATRIX 4g as an ipod touch like device?

I am no longer with AT&T and am wondering if it is possible to use the ATRIX 4g without being subscribed for phone service?
Just want to be able to give to my son so he can play games and surf internet over wifi.
If so, I will search the forum for a how to when I get home unless someone has the link handy and could post.
Thanks.
I don't see why it wouldn't work. It doesn't need to be activated to use. You might get a no sim error, but I don't know how persistent it is.

You can leave the sim card in the device, just make sure the phone is set to flight mode.
Cheers
Agreed put it in airplane mode to save battery. You can still use it to make voip calls via GrooVe IP or a similar app.
I did this with my original droid. The difference is my OG droid is a CDMA phone and the Atrix is GSM.
If you rooted/bootloader unlocked/have a custom rom installed then I think it should be a simple process. If you did not do any of these things before you dropped service you might have issues with activation - but again I dont know how this would work with a GSM phone my experience with with a verizon CDMA phone.
I think odd are good you should be able to get it to work fine. I Use my old droid to listen to podcasts, stream google music, and as an alarm clock.
Just make sure he doesn't try to dial 911, you can still make emergency calls with no SIM installed.

CDMA or GSM shouldn't make a difference, I play with my old Captivate (GSM, no sim) all the time. Its not like the wifi/Android Market stops working if you dont pay your bill! I assure you, OP, you CAN use your Atrix in the way you described.

I think airplane mode disables Wi-Fi so you might need to disable the radio for better battery life but keep Wi-Fi enabled for internet access.

Airplane does disable WiFi if you have it on when you initiate Airplane mode, but then you just turn wifi back on no problem.
Dial *#*#4636#*#* and search the option to turn off the radio ;D

[Q] Notification app

I am trying to find an app that gives me a notification on my A500 when I get a phone call or text on my android phone. Does anyone know of such an app?
I am not looking to send texts from my tab just get the notifications.
Just listen to your phone, I am sure it notifies you
Probably about the best you could hope for, is some sort of enhanced dialing app for your phone, that sends an e-mail when calls come in. Then your tab, if you have a wifi connection, would have a mail notification.
If your tab was an a501, you could receive an sms (specific carriers)
But as far as an app for your tab, I don;t think such an app exists. The 500 doesn't have a radio. And the 501, has a nuetered radio for sms and data.

Yeah, it appears to maybe take care of the sms issue, provided you're under the same wifi network. Not quite sure what would happen if you, leave your phone at home, and you're out on the road, as it seems it doesn't work. Looks like it only works when on the same wifi network. With bluetooth, you have to be less than 6ft or so.

Doesn't do anything with calls though.

Wifi-Calling T-mobile?

Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know if this phone supports Wifi-Calling via T-mobile?:cyclops:
It does. I tried it last night. Turned to airplane and turned back on wifi, made a call just fine over wifi on T-Mobile.
I had no idea it could do that, but since my house is a bit of a Faraday Cage my G5+ starts the call as a provider call (T-Mobile) & jumps over to WiFi as soon as the connection is made. Totally threw me for a loop, I've wanted this feature on an OON phone for several years... way to go, Moto... oops, I mean Lenovo
Dave in San Jose
I might be missing something but it doesn't say WiFi call when set to WiFi preferred and I'm on WiFi. I try turning airplane mode on and WiFi on and get a message that I have to connect to a network. In TMobile.

Did you enable it in settings? I've found it to be a little finicky sometimes, but it usually works pretty well.
It works but for me caused SMS/MMS delivery issues with the wifi router i was on. So i turned it off. I can turn it on when i need it for now, no need.
Get an sms app that supports forcing sms over cell even if you are on wifi like textra.
Sorry to bother, but it doesn't work for me. I have wifi preferred and wifi calling enabled, but it doesn't work when I do airplane mode-with-wifi on.
Any chance this could be due to APN settings? Can someone with this working share their APN? I know on my previous phone (Nexus 6), the T-Mobile APN settings were confusing and tricky. Thanks in advance!
Turning on airplane mode got wifi calling and SMS to work for me no problem. I have "wifi-calling preferred" selected in settings - is there any good way to get it to switch over automatically when cell service is poor? would like to not have to hit airplane mode every time.

Actually, you shouldn't need to turn on airplane mode. That seems to just be a way to confirm it is actually using wifi since it ensures cell radios are turned off. It will automatically switch if you do not turn on airplane mode. If you look at the phone when a call is connected, it will confirm that it is a wifi call. This is a small drawback to the Moto G5 Plus software. Unlike other phones that actually tell you that the phone will use wifi in the notification area, this phone only acknowledges the wifi calling after the call is made or received. It would be nice if they would change that.
However, I am having a problem with mine not working properly on wifi. It seems that calls will not always go through to my phone. The phone will ring, but won't let me answer the call. It will quite often show the same call repeatedly even though I cannot answer the call. The caller tells me they hear nothing the entire time it should be ringing and eventually gives a busy signal. It doesn't even go to voice mail so they can leave a message. Sometimes it works perfectly, but there is no way to know when it's not going to work. I used to be able to get it to work again if I switched off wifi and connected to LTE, then made a test call before turning wifi back on. Now I can't seem to get that to work any more. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
Hi brothers,
Please, can you share some screenshots of these VoWIFI options in settings?
I feel the "reteu" (european) version doesn't have enabled VoLTE and VoWIFI.

WiFi calling doesn't work on OP5 with Oreo

WiFi calling was working fine with nougat, it doesn't work after I upgraded to Oreo. I have OB4 installed on the phone with T-Mobile USA. I am in remote place without T-Mobile signal. I put Sim card into my Nexus 6, Wi-Fi calling works fine.
So Oneplus team breaks Wi-Fi calling on Oreo?
I have TMobile and I'm on OOS 5.0.1, no issues with WiFi calling here.
Occasionally I will have to toggle airplane mode for it to work, but I had that issue before Oreo.

Have you enabled WiFi calling in the Sim & Network settings?
If you are using Magisk v15.3 get module VoEnabler v1.1 created by Toucan.
I did not even seen option in the sim and network until I install this module...
I have no problems with US T-Mobile, although it does not work with German T-Mobile. In another thread it was explained that Oneplus and the respective carrier need an agreement to make it work. If your carrier doesn't have one, it will not work.
I don't have the option in Sim&Network for WiFi calling until I did fresh installation. Now it is working.

Nope. I even installed enterprise networking equipment in my home since and it seems to be better (probably placebo). I have also done a factory reset which didn't help.
It seems like I can always receive a call, but can only make a call 75% of the time. There has been times where I tried to call people I know several times when it was acting up, then I would message them telling them to call me and my phone rings minutes later.
What usually works (but not always) is to reboot the phone, then turn airplane mode on, wait a few minutes, then turn it back off.

that may be a different issue then...mine always works when it's turned on, but seems to just stop working randomly for no reason. the vowifi and volte icons disappear, and the only way to get them back (and get it working again) is to toggle airplane mode or reboot the phone...
