Ok this has been going on a while and i'm getting tired of it. The apps that i have installed on my phone don't show up in the My Apps part of Market. It shows some of the apps i have but i believe thats only due to me reinstalling them to make them show up. The only ones that are showing up are the apps that i purchased and they say "Purchased" next to them and not "Installed" even though they are. I've tried wiping the Market cache and data and they still don't show up. I've also tried using Titanium Backups "Market Doctor" and it says it's relinked the apps but it does nothing. I thought it was due to the Squidly ROM that i had so i SBFed back to stock and it still does the same thing. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Are these apps you've installed through the market or did you install them from your sdcard?
Just clean up Market cache. You installed "Auto Update All Market Apps" (or something like that, icon is a blue box with a green arrow pointing down), right?

Already cleaned the cache, didn't work. And no, i have only a select few apps that are even set to auto update.
I think it's really odd that only the apps that i purchased are showing up in there. The free ones i've installed aren't showing up.
***Ok, after clearing my cache and data like 3 times, all my apps finally showed up.
Glad you got it figured out. These phones can be weird sometimes. After I flashed an SBF last time I needed to, I tried to wipe data in recovery, and it wouldn't let me. After about the 10th try, it finally let me do it. Not sure why.
I've searched for a fix for this error but all it brings up are like 100 page threads and I can't get to the exact page. Does anybody know how I can stop getting this to pop up? I've tried switching roms but the next one does it as well. Any tips?
Nobody knows a fix for this one?
For me, turning off Sync Browser in sync settings for my Google account fixed this problem. I am using a HP Touch pad though, but should be the same on any android device.

Same thing is happening on my touchpad when I click sync browser that comes up. Turning it off is fine with me thanks for the tip.
This happened to me occasionally when I was running a custom rom but since I updated to the next version of the rom and flashed gapps, it hasn't come back. There did not appear to be a reason or rhyme. I tried to reinstall chrome and gmail but not sure of the results. May want to try that.

process com.google.process.gapps has stopped working
I have the same problem. The only difference that I know exactly when happened and what is the reason.
I upgraded to JellyBean, but just before that I force stopped some running apps thinking of a "clear" upgrade (WRONG).
Then after the upgrade (I was rooted before it) I opened Titanium Backup and noticed that some applications were showing as uninstalled ???
I did not uninstall them - but somehow they ended up uninstalled after the upgrade.
I suppose this happened because I stopped those few processes just before upgrading.
Now the applications showed as uninstalled are: "DRM Storage Protected..." Media Storage" , "Gallery" and some more
All those missing now ... I cannot start Google Store at all !? It opens for a second and closes itself. Tried to restore those with Titanium Backup but it does not restore them ... just runs endlessly.
PLEASE HELP !
I would try to flash the factory rom, unless you are using custom, flash the custom with gapps.

Here's the most simple fix. Remove your Google account and add it again.

It's been driving me nuts.
As soon as my Nexus 7 boots I get the message.
I removed my Google account and re-entered my details.
The message popped up again as soon as the account was added.
I'm on the stock 4.2.1 rooted ROM.
Factory reset next without restoring a backup.
Speaking of backup. When I used the ADB restore command.
I had the message that my device will restart. It did. I then had the Restore screen on my Nexus 7.
I hit Restore my data button or whatever it's called, and my tablet reset immediately. And no data was restored to my Nexus.
It's seems that is broken too.
I cleared Data and Cache of Browser (my stock Browser) and error disappeared, problem fixed...
I'm having this issue as well. Started happening after I flashed Paranoid Android 2.99 Beta 6 and the current gApps zip.

Did you tried this? (Comment before yours)
Finally cured it on my stock rooted Nexus 7.
Factory wipe and didn't restore any system apps.
So far so good.
I tried every other trick in the book.
So in the end, a wipe was the only option.

I just solved this on my Nexus. It was one of the google apps having a sync issue. I solved it by turning each one off till the error stopped then uninstalling it and reloading it.
TWRP 2.3.3 installed via Goomanager.
With rooted stock ROM 4.2.1 I used GooManager to download latest Paranoid Android 2.99 Beta 9 and GAPPS-JB-20121011.zip.
Factory reset and wipe of Cache & Dalvik then flashed PA from Goomanager
Nexus booted into PA
Opened Goo manager and flashed the GAPPS I'd already downloaded.
Nexus boots into unlock screen but then says "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" and when that is cleared I get "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped" over and over again.
I don't get an opportunity to do anything other that re-boot into recovery.
I've re-flashed GAPPS by itself over the top, as well as PA and have tried, from within TWRP, to flash both one after the other. I always get the same errors.
Any advice please?
[Edit #1]
Used Wug's NRT 1.6.1 to flash back to stock, unlock and rooted again.
Installed Goo Manager again and downloaded GAPPS and PA 2.99 and going to see what happens.
and.....
Exactly the same problem!
[Edit #2]
Solved.
There was a later version of GAPPS that Goo didn't have listed.
I got this iron man of a phone yesterday and rooted yesterday. I noticed a lot of bloat so I uninstalled a bunch of it. Now my s voice doesn't work(it forced closed when I asked a question) so what apps affect it. What should I not have deleted? And where can I get it back?
I don't know what I deleted that did it because I deleted a bunch of stuff that looked useless.
Thanks
Joe
Might be the ChatOn.
To get it back, restore to factory via Kies or ODIN.
I removed chat on but s voice still works. Did you remove Samsung apps?
Yeah I think I took some out... gonna just factory reset -.-
S Voice doesn't work at all, even after a reset.
I didn't uninstall anything, but after I rooted, S-Voice quit working. It just crashes every time I try to use it.
I tried factory reset twice, and hard reset twice (vol-up + home + pwr), with the exact same result.
It is so bad, that after the reset, when the software asks what language do you want to setup the phone, text-to-speech quits before you can even hit next.
I tried changing the default tts from Samsung to Google, but I got the same result.
Anybody with any ideas???

Yes, sorry, but you should restore back to Factory using Odin. But just in case you don't know, doing this won't reset your settings and apps, so feel free to restore back as soon as you have weird issues or errors.

**** if you didn't uninstall anything, it might be the root that caused stuff to not work then. That is the same problem that I had, except I did uninstall a bunch of stuff.
*EDIT* I have confirmed that it is in fact the root that makes S voice not work. I restored to factory using my firmware from this site

Hold finger on it, a menu will appear
Under SYSTEM ROM press CONVERT TO USER APP
Locate "Samsung Text to Speech Engine" application in the list

Works perfectly, was having the same problem after recent root.
You can set them back to system apps after you have reset.
Now I just need to get my default home launcher to actually launch when I reset the phone.
"You can set them back to system apps after you have reset."
I noticed on my phone, if S VOICE is a user app, Double Clicking Home key works once to start S Voice but if I go to messaging or maps or any other application, double click does not bring me back to S VOICE.
I reverted S VOICE back to system app and double click works as advertised again
Hi everyone, Just wanted to post this as I have found it to be useful for me.
I am sure some of you have seen this issue before or are experiencing it now. I have included a link to the youtube video.
what is the issue?
Recently after downloading the newest play store I started seeing an error message about unfortunately the process gapps has stopped working .
this was happening whenever i tried to add an account and when opening some of my apps including the browser and play store
.
it was annoying me but it would go away and the app would immediately open for me after so it was not that big of a problem.
I tried to solve the problem first by uninstalling updates to the play store in application manager
,
then by flashing roms and factory resetting
, however this did not help at all.
l
. finally last night at work my phone had three random reboots . my phone has never done that before
. I searched on google and found a very easy fix and once again my phone is like new
.
the fix.
settings/ application manager/scroll to left until you reach the all applications screen/ touch menu screen left of the home button/ reset app preferences.

Just wipe the data and cache, then flash rom and flash a new gapps package...there you go...:good:
Sure if you want to do a factory reset and are using a custom rom... I guess I didn't make it clear that this was for stock rom without having to wipe data. But to each his own whatever works

thanks a lot, it seems to work! I have tried other tips that I found on the internet and none of them work, but this one did the job!
I'm not sure what happened, but my Google Keyboard seems to have disappeared. Google Keyboard is not showing as an option under "Keyboard & input methods". I have Flesky and Swiftkey, so I'm getting by, but I don't know how to get it working. Gboard shows under Apps, and I've tried clearing cache, clearing data, force stop, and uninstall/reinstall, but it still doesn't appear as an option to use as a keyboard. How can I rectify this? Thanks in advance to anyone who has a solution.

Google keyboard is replaced by Gboard but I think you already knew that. Also if you are on a custom ROM flash Gapps again. Gboard will appear on input options. If not maybe you have factory reset or wait for the app to be updated again .
PS did you reboot after clearing cache?

Thanks for the reply. I'm not rooted and therefore don't have a custom ROM, just the one that came with the device, so therefore I can't really flash anything. I went into recovery mode and did a cache wipe there, which, of course, requires reboot, to no avail. I'll wait to see if an update comes out soon and will live with 3rd party keyboards in the meantime. For what it's worth, I've included screen shots showing that Gboard is showing as an app but is not showing as an available keyboard. When I click "Current Keyboard", my only options are Flesky and Swiftkey.
The reply is appreciated.

Update: I finally got Gboard back. I tried a number of things, including a manual download and install of the apk. I decided to try Slash keyboard, and, when I installed it, I was taken to the screen to enable it, and, voila', Gboard shows up with an enable option. I don't know what happened, but it's working now.

Actually, in your second screenshot, if you tap on "Current Keyboard" there will be a button to choose keyboard. If you press that, it will bring you to the screen where you can enable/disable keyboards. That's probably why Gboard was hidden.

Yep. Not intuitive to me, but you're correct. I thought "Current Keyboard" was just a prompt to select one from the pop-up window. Often the answers are simple if you know where to look. Thanks! :good:

No worries! They changed the menu structure in Nougat so it's more intuitive now.
Probably off topic but does anyone else not like the update they did to the keyboard? No way to remove that search menu row? I have never used the suggestions and wished I could remove it.

Hey everyone.
Lastnight I installed, an android 7.0 custom rom to my tab pro 10.1. I used TWRP to flash install the ROM when it installed it automatically rebooted my device before I could go on to Gapps and install them with the the ROM. So when the ROM loaded up I connected to my hub (using the keyboards) then had a look at the new OS and the wife had a look out of interest with me and everything was working well in fact it was quicker than it was when we got it brand new.
Then playtime over rebooted back into TWRP and flashed Gapps. Then it rebooted again. When it finally loaded back in I was met with a loading screen saying Android is Starting which wouldn't go away but it asked me to sign back on to the Hub so went to do this on problem was.....no Keyboard.....so I managed to get into my setting through quick menu settings and find input settings and there is no keyboard installed to the device...it asked me to add one but I can't because I can't type and even if I could the android is starting message is still going.
Please help I am new to this and I want to learn all this type of thing but I am completely puzzled on what to do. I tried clear chase and data and even tried factory reset.....tried installing gapps on twice (before the factory reset) and nothing was working.
I am tough to use odin to flash it back to standard rom and start again but I could do with some pointers with what i have done wrong.
Thanks people

You may wish to ask over in the Galaxy Tab Pro forums at https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-pro-12-10-8 - you've somehow wandered into the Moto G4 forums
But as a very general suggestion - sounds like your GApps isn't happy with your custom ROM. You may have to clean flash your custom ROM again and verify that the GApps you're flashing is suitable for your device/custom ROM.
I agree with you I have just download the same rom and a stock gapps and I had the same message and again with no keyboard.....agian. Difference this time I haven't rushed to do a factory reset and gone back and reflashed the android 7.0 rom and I am back working again with keyboard but no google apps.
Is there a way of installing them a different way, only 2 google apps I use is play store and gmail. I have tried installing a google play store and play services apk but doesn't work. It goes to load and then just stops.....feels like I need a list of apps to get them going.
Hope someone can help
I worked out my problem with Gapps, "android is starting messages" and no keyboard.
1. I needed to wipe my cache, data and davarlik (whatever it says....looks like darlik to me...lol) before and after.
2. Like fella before said my ROM didn't like the Gapps package I had downloaded, so everytime I had the android message I went back on to TWRP and restored back to the orginal point where the lineage ROM worked, then went back on to the net and installed the next Gapps package and repeated till I found a package that worked......that package was the "Micro" package.
Any google apps I was missing I simply just downloaded them via the playstore after.
I realise this is a moto G forum but I find that sometimes you need to go other places to find answers and I had originally looked in the samsung Tab Pro 10.1 forum section and couldn't find anything similar to my problem this fella at the beginning of the thread was the closest to my problem I could fine.
Hope this helps
