I updated mine and everything seems fine...Howevber I've only had my phone for 11 days so I can't really tell you if the phone is running better or not....but I think it runs great!!
My signal strength dropped and that LTE issue is annoying AF
You could make a full backup of 6.0 then update to 6.0.1 and see how it goes. I for one am still on 6.0 because I am affected by the LTE issue.
Go for the update. If you notice any of the problems downgrade. Its quite strange but not all users are effected.

What rom are you using? im considering flashing a custom rom.
I'm having no issues with 6.0.1 at all. It depends on your personal usage and you should try it yourself. With a backup there is no problem to return to 6.0 if you should spot issues. Personally I would definitely update, just because of the security updates...

I think this is accounting for my increased battery between 6.0.0 and 6.0.1

I believe you just need your bootloader unlocked, and you can flash the original system package and be back to 6.0.

You don't need to be rooted, unlock the bootloader and create a backup using TWRP. The tutorial for this can be found in the general section of the Nexus6P forum .

I'm new/never done an unlock. Does only unlocking (not rooting) affect Android Pay?
Does unlocking burn the 6P "fuse"?

Android Pay is not affected by unlocking the bootloader (or using systemless root). But unlocking will cause your phone to be wiped, so you should save important data manually.
The QFuse is not affected by unlocking the bootloader either, but it is popped by default during the fabrication process. There once was a thread about this somewhere here.
Regards,
Is it possible, to open a thread for the Nova Plus MLA-LXX only?
Root, firmwareupdates , etc.
i think its a good idea...im in canada /rogers with mla-l03...and not much here for our version
Not rooted ( yet ) but got the unlock code, me too
have the code, yet not used, all my other mobiles ihave rooted
Like i said...our device is a one pretty young...birth in september so...theres no rush to "enter the dragon"
But very anxious to try nouEmui
i have tried the unlock code, and it works, but i have relocked it.....
I've the MLA-L11 too. would be awsome to have a working TWRP , no use in getting bt unlocked
unless there is a custom recovery. I'd say we find a dev and donate enough to persuade him to work
on a twrp !

Hi, where is the android 7.0 for us, I hate Huawei when they are late on softwares....! I'm having a problem to use youtube over the phone network with my Nova Plus.
Thanks
guys the MLA varients work with xelfmade's TWRP recovery and roms can be unified to work on all varients
Ota upgrade made with my MLA-L03 to Nougat yesterday and all working great! Used FF to push the update via proxy and changed from C654B140 to C578B302 with stock updated app. Best I've like the phone yet!! Big improvement in every aspect so far.
Buddy,
for us using the MLA-L03 can you explain in details how you did that ? Been waiting for ages to get that OTA update that never comes lol
Thanks in advance

You can try this to update to Nougat: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G79/g0/v73849/f1/full/update.zip Extract all the files and place them in a dload folder then place that on the root of your SD Card and install it using the three button method. If your Build Number is not showing up correctly after installing that install this: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...-L11_hw_eu/update_data_full_MLA-L11_hw_eu.zip using the same method as before. If it does not work the first time you may need to flash the stock EMUI 5 Nougat recovery which will let you install Nougat updates, I had to do this for the CAN-L01C432 variant as the update kept stopping at around 40%. EMUI 5 Nougat Recovery: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4T1GJ6EZ3LvTWNpZ0p5YXVINGs It is up to you to try it and I am not trying to make you as I do not have a MLA variant so I do not know if it will work or not. I hope this this helps.

Yes, understand, which build is it and is there no problem to get the official one when i had install it?
If it doesn`t work how to get back to notmal firmware?
I have all my devices rooted , but this one not, there are to less informations about my build, therefore i have no twrp installed.
Im careful, my last device was honor 7, and i have no problem with twrp and root, but more informations.
Download is very slow.
Do you have made the update to nougat, and does it run without bugs?
Hello, i bought my z3 4 months ago and im happy with the performance except for the battery life. I was thinking about going back to kitkat so i can have that 2 days battery life but i have never flashed a rom or done anything similar. So i want help. Do you think i should go back to kitkat or should i put another rom?( i wish i could get oxygen os but its impossible)
Thanks
I guess you have Marshmallow .291 firmware?
What device id exactly D66?? ?
If D6603...
(locked bootloader and you don't want root) get Marshmallow Concept .3657: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69273678&postcount=1962
It's the latest and last Sony ROM for Z3, security level October 2016. Great battery life (ForceDoze works great) and really stable (yes you get the Sony apps from the store).
(locked bootloader and you want root) get Lollipop .264, like my DE: https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/d6603-xperia-z3-23-4-1-264-customized-t3259252
For me the battery life is disappointing on their "official" MM, going from 6h Screen-on-Time on 5.1.1 to barely 4h on their "final" firmware .291 is really bad.
Just checked and yeah i have the 291
How do i get the good version? Do i need to format my phone and flash it or is it like a normal update?
Also just checked i got the d6603
So is there a nougat version? Cause i really like the looks of the nougat

There's a nougat version for D6603 but it's a custom rom and needs an unlocked bootloader. It's called Lineage os 14.1 by Nailyk.

Plain flash with FlashTool, you will wipe everything so backup (pics/documents/etc) to a PC first.

There are the Developers Previews, but I can't recommend them as daily drivers:
* latest DP4 has a killer bug (whenever it switches Wi-Fi off it will reboot)
* while DP3 is not full SDK24 yet, had even issues installing apps
You can get that Nougat look if you have root on 5.1.1 with Xposed + Android N-ify for the quick settings (get latest build #827 here) + this nav bar.
(in Android N-ify remember to enable "fancy anymations")
/LE: keep in mind that whatever I'm saying above you don't need an UNlocked bootloader.

(I mean 5.1.1 firmware .264 or Marshmallow Concept .3657, have great battery life)
Again, this depends on your user case, I can't swear you'll see this exact difference.
The flash process is simple, too simple, my biggest gripe is setting apps again, stabilize my workflow, and use the device as usual for 2-3 battery cycles ( 100%->5%) to be able to judge that on a fair ground. (eg. while installing apps, copying files or rebooting, the battery drain is bigger, that's not to be accounted...)

.291 is the last official one.
You can get root on Concept .3657 if you have an unlocked bootloader. It's the last one from Sony but it's not "officialy supported" blahblah, it's just "concept/test", use it if it works.

Greetings everyone,
I have been using a G4 Plus (indian retail unit) since 2017 and was on Nougat for years now. The phone never got Oreo for me. I tried using this trick from the thread to successfully upgrade to Oreo. Now, ever since the upgrade, I haven't had any issues apart from the battery. On Nougat, I used to get atleast 4.5 hours on screen time and 5 at max usage. I'm a moderate user. I charge the phone early in the morning. Now, it has been reduced to 3 hours 42 minutes on an average. I have my GPS Turned off, Screen Brightness and everything related adjusted. And the figures above are without battery saver. I don't want to downgrade as I like the Oreo UI and fluidity of the OS. The phone heats up at points when CPU usage is a bit high. Not a huge issue for me though. Anything I can do fix the battery life?

After the recent update MIUI Global 11.0.1.0(QFGMIXM), my phone charge duration extended. It takes almost 5-15 minutes to gain 1%. Any idea for the fix? I have wanted to revert the update but looking up the internet it requires root but my phone's not and will not to. I have also tried "troubleshoot" with the built-in Security app on this phone and also restarted the phone, still no benefit. I am annoyed with this, hoping for quick response for the fix. If you are looking for extra details and specs here it is:
Android Version: 10 QKQ1.190910.002

I have no idea if there is something like that. unfortunately I've erased the previous zip files I had and the only one in my desktop at the moment is the one before the android 10 update wich is the V11.0.8.0.

Yes your data will be erased so make sure you have a backup.
