Playstore download WIFI slow.. - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

Hi, i've a issue with download from playstore on WIFI..
I've a 125mpbs connection at home and when i download games or apps from playstore it download VERY slow .. like 1-2mpbs.. When i check with a app called Speedtest my wifi connection it show 70MPBS (which is ok because of wifi and the router is a little bit older) .. when i go on chrome and browse internet it's really fast, when i download a zip or anything from chrome it's really fast too ! but when downloading from playstore it's REALLY slow ...
I have to like 1 minutes or 2 for a app that's less than 100mb..
and i'm not counting installation time which is ok
the issue is happening on 2.4ghz wifi..
with 5ghz wifi it's a little bit better.. and on mobile data IT'S REALLY fast ! like full speed of what my connection can
as i said it's only slow with playstore... with chrome or any other app like torrent my 2.4ghz is fast like it should
Am i the only one with the issue ?

wifi market problem

when i'm running off wifi the market downloads either take forever to start downloading or they don't download at all. but when i switch to 3g its no problem at all. anyone else have this problem?
I would say first thing to do would be to check your internet connection or see how your other devices behave over wifi. I had the samme problem and it was my ISP.

Ridiculously slow internet speed

Is anyone else getting this problem with internet explorer? Web pages takes forever to load whereas the stock browser on android was much faster. Do you guys have any suggestion on how to fix this, since i have tested the speed at multiple places and still getting the same slow result.
Actually,I found it faster.
Sent from my HD2 running Android on NAND
I thought the internet speeds were very close to what I had on Android
Sent from my HD4.5 using Board Express
what the heck
Thats weird i did all the steps correctly using the guides i dont know its so slow... did you guys do anything special on your phone?

I'm with the same problem...
Do you gave 3G disabled, maybe Without 3G web pages would surely be a pain to use.
For me personally IE works like a charm. If this thing would have a password manager it would be my personal favourite mobile browser.

check your APN settings, should show:
APN - epc.tmobile.com
Username - none
password - ****
Oh forgot to mention that i dont have a data plan, use mainly wifi for my internet needs
Navigon downloaded yesterday some 400 MB of maps through my home WiFi and it took no more than 5 min. As i'm on 12 Mbit ADSL I guess WiFi speed is more than OK on WP7.
Never tried IE Mobile through WiFi cause I'm on unlimited data and it makes no sense to use WiFi.

After upgrading from a 1GB card to an 8GB card I have also a very slow internet connection.
I tried to download maps for Navigon and failed because less storage space.
After changing to an other 8GB µSD card (do a software hardreset & reconfigure my device) I mentioned that syncspeed & downloads are very slow (ethernet & WiFi).
The download of Navigon maps takes aprox. 6 hours. :-( ==> (8Mbit Internet connection)
mobile HSDPA connection seems ok.
speed was awesome withouth sd card for me, with sd card the phone seems to be very slow overall

Browser and Rom Manager Internet work while tethering but not Gapps?

Hello,
Is anyone else having this problem? When I tether the Internet connection off my phone (wifi tethering) my browser and rom manager's Internet connection work fine, but Gapps, the market, Dropbox and several other apps will not connect to the Internet... Does anyone know the cause of this?
Did you enable "restrict background data"? I know Play Store doesn't work for me when I restrict that.
Otherwise everything works fine tethered to my Galaxy Nexus.

I did not unless it does this by default... I'm tethering 3G, not 4g... Could it just be my 3G isn't strong enough signal?
This Q&A thread is ridiculous! You ask a question and your post is bounced back 3 pages before u can get a response! And do Devs even cruise this thread looking to answer questions? It's all just fellow average users! BUMP

I can't really answer your question, but I have ( or had) a similar issue. ( Plus it will bump the thread up As you know, WiFi tethering will rape your phones battery. My HTC Wildfire S battery sucks ass to begin with, so its a must it is plugged in if I'm going to tether for more than 15 mins. I tried an app called FoxFi, because it's got rave reviews and it has Bluetooth tethering...and compared to WiFi tether, BT tethering uses hardly any battery. Well, I could save over 50℅ battery by using BT tether, and I was so excited. Until I tried to use ANYTHING BUT the web browser. Internet was fine, but everything else just stated "no network connection". No Google Now, no Asphalt 7, and no YouTube. What a let down. Maybe I'll look into it tonight and let you know if I find anything. The battery savings are worth me looking into it.
Much appreciated! I'm hearing that people with 4g phones aren't getting this issue... Perhaps the connection just isn't enough for the market and Gapps? I actually kind of doubt this because browsing is very snappy and I've been able to download large files with relatively good speed

Wifi home issues

Hello, I'm having serious connectivity issues with my home network foe the nexus 7. The tablet connects to the internet just fine, but everything is so deathly slow. I decided to take it outside and see if this was a problem with my router or the device. I tested it out at my school, my girlfriend's house and best buy. The issues disappeared: Play store fully loaded, I could download apps very quickly and the YouTube app loaded fine. However when i returned home, the same problems reappeared. Obviously this means that my router is not properly configured for this device, which is odd because all my other wireless devices connect to my network perfectly. If anyone can tell me what is necessary for me to do, I would very much appreciate it.
Please provide more info e.g router make and model.
Other devices connected to router and when u say slow it means slow web browsing but fast downloading or over all every thing is slow ?
Please ignore my spelling mistakes. English is not my native language.

Thank you for responding, your english was just fine. My router is a linksys E3200. I have 2 laptops, a galaxy s4, playstation 4 and kindle all connected wirelessly and they work perfectly. By slow, I mean that the play store does not filly load with images, 10 ,b apps take about two hours to download from the store and YouTube takes forever to buffer. As i explained above, this only happens when the device is on my home network.
ok i have E4200 and i had some what same issue too. all i needed was to update my router firmware.
I have the same issues with my Nexus 7 after updating to Android 4.3. Any ideas what I can do???
Hey, I have the same problem. Every internet connection is very slow (Chrome takes forever to load small pages, youtube videos dont start playing, ... ).My router is e3200 with actual firmware and n7 with lollipop. When I deactivate the 5ghz channel on the router the problem disappears.

Download on playstore with WIFI is slow

Hi i've got a issue with downloading apps or games from playstore but ONLY on wifi..
I've got a 125mbps/10mpbs home network. I've tested my wifi on my phone with speedtest app and i'm getting about 70-80mbps/10mbps which is ok
but when i'm downloading apps or games from playstore it's reallllly slow.. like 1-2mpbs.. and this is only happening with Playstore.. Because when i try to download a file with chrome browser it's fast as it should be..
This is happenning only on 2.4ghz wifi for playstore downloads.
When i use 5ghz wifi it's a bit better but not the fast as it should too..
And when i use mobile data (which is not unlimited for me.. 4gb data plan) it's REALLY fast like it should !
I've tried the basic things to do as update playstore using apk from apkmirror .. Tried also clearing cache and even tried other kernel.. I'm back using stock now
Am i the only one with the issue here ?
