Need custom recovery or root method for zenfone 2 laser ze550kl I am attaching url to download stock rom n source code

Anybody got access on zenfone laser's bootloader? Seems nothing happens when i press power button + volume up or adb reboot bootloader. Just stuck on asus splash screen. I also hope we can get our own forum.

Guys, I bought my laser from Taiwan with TW firmware but when I clicked non check system update it downloaded and installed an update but I noticed that the firmware had changed to WW. Is that normal?
WW firmware doesn't support Band 28 700 mhz but TW does and I need it. Will the WW update kill Band 28 support on my phone?

Have you tried if it works? On the ASUS website there is only jp , rkt and ww firmware packages. Maybe tw is included in ww? I'm not sure.

no i got success i can go to bootloader and fastboot also working

JP and TW are the same not WW. Where did you see s JP firmware package for the ZE550KL? All I can find is a WW one.

Yes but there are only WW firmware updates available on the Asus for it. Seems it doesn't matter what region firmware you have the OTA will download the WW one

Any genius pls suggest root method and recovery pls

Now asus has stopped releasing region wise firmware, they are releasing worldwide firmware only.

Yes. Or you can download the full update (not ota incremental), reboot to recovery and sideload it via adb

Updated to 7.0 and installed TWRP - Can I revert to stock recovery?

If so, how would I go about it given the update to 7.0 was via OTA.
I am currently downloading the old 6.01 rom but is it as easy as just extracting the recovery and flashing it?

Stock recovery MM

Hi,
I'm on TWRP, I would like to flash the stock recovery for B560 (Marshmallow) in order to install an OTA update that have just appeared for me. Someone provide me with the file please.

You can find stock recovery in the UPDATE.APP for your device. Unzip it with Huawei update extractor. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454

Use the Huawei Update Extractor to extract the recovery.img from your UPDATE.APP file. Then just flash it using the adb command line and you should be good to go

I also would like to know why I'm still on B561 meanwhile there is plenty of users out there on B890 and B88x... I heared there is some people who got EMUI 4.1 already, is there anyway to get it? I'm on North Africa tho.

Yes, same recovery works... I've been using the same old Lollipop recovery till now...
If your didn't get OTA and would like to go to that build then you could always flash your way through.
You can get that too, EMUI 4.1, here the link

Urgent Help needed Zenfone Laser 2 ZE550KL

My phone software version is WW_1.17.40.1234_20160304 and i found latest firmware from asus official site that is WW_21.40.1220.2179 (https://www.asus.com/in/Phone/ZenFone-2-Laser-ZE550KL/HelpDesk_BIOS/) but i don't know how to upgrade that zip file
after upgrading i want to install custom roms i am asking here because previously i tried installing custom rom but it's stuck in bootloop or fastboot mode i thought may be this is a baseband version or something so i will update to this one first then i go for custom rom
please tell me how to update or flash firmware

I don't think you can flash latest firmware directly if you're still running lolipop.
But if you want custom roms, then just get twrp recovery and flash a rom.
There's no need to upgrade stock firmware to do that.

u have to update firmware with one by one zip files

your phone in 5.0 partion layout so,6.0 customes roms does not support,
so u do one thing
first u must download all files
from WW_1.17.40.1234_20160304
this version to latest version from asus site ,
place one by one files in phone sd card folowed by series and install them manually,to latest firmware 09/11/2017.
if your phone got ota updates ,install all updates one by one,
or whatsapp me 7013_4455,95,,,,,,
