I was on stock debloated ROM and flashed the Magisk and then the Elemental X 2.02 from the link of https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/development/kernel-elementalx-1-00-moto-g5-plus-t3614211. Then, the Wifi starting acting weird by not connecting to a very active Wifi signal and connecting very late. Then, when I searched for a solution there was a "wlan_custom.zip" that needed to be flashed (I found this in the same Elemental X forum in the above link). Later, when I rebooted from TWRP, my Jio signal is gone. I have tried all the ways and means to get it back, but nothing seems to be working.
-- I tried fastbooting the original stock firmware - no signal.
-- I tried flashing an Oreo ROM to get that 4g signal - no signal.
-- I tried flashing the full stock ROM zip file - no signal.
-- I tried creating a new APN and select that - no signal.
-- I tried putting the Jio Sim in slot 2 - no signal.
-- I tried putting a new Jio Sim in either slots - no signal.
Could anybody please help me?

Thanks. Can you please confirm if flashing that would bring back the Volte as well?
From what I experimented, I followed the steps at https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/help/restore-imei-0-moto-g5-xt1687-t3739808 and the 4g signal is back but with only LTE and no Volte. Because of this, I am unable to receive or make calls on that 4g SIM; only the internet works out of that.

Yes the tutorial you followed and what I'm suggesting, both restores the 4G network but no VOLTE, by the looks of it, I don't think it's going to work now

I decided to flash stock ROM again after having some camera issues on all Oreo ROMs. I have done this process many times and my PC is all set up to do a stock flash. This time after flashing stock rom for my UK g5 plus, I booted to no signal. After repeating the stock ROM flash a few times and, trying a few APN options and switching to 3g and back to 4g with nothing working, I realized there is a problem. After this, I tried going back to 8.1 pixel and Nitrogen, which did return my signal but, no 4g only 3g.
I'm a little confused as to what is going on here, no custom ROM flash can leave any effect after fastbooting stock to my knowledge. Any ideas?
How to

Step by step:
1. Flash TWRP.
2. Flash Pixel Experience rom if we haven't flashed yet.
3. Turn on phone with flashed rom to obtain network signal
4. Here we will get the IMEI and only have 3g signal, so we need to restart the phone in bootloader mode and type in fastboot "fastboot erase modemst1" and "fastboot erase modemst2", these two command will give us IMEI and 4g signal.*
5. Turn on Pixel Experience again to obtain 4g(verify it pls), shutdown and enter Recovery mode (TWRP).
6. Do a backup of EFS and install stock rom.
7. Restore EFS backup and enjoy.
* NOTE: It's very important to turn on the phone once flashed Pixel Experience to obtain IMEI info and turn on again to obtain 4G.
This works to get 4g but volte no longer is working (used to be fine on nougat). I'm using TMobile usa

So, are you able to get back the 4G mobile data (4G LTE) at least?
Yes, I get LTE again, but not volte. Sad
Currently, all Oreo roms are causing this issue because they seem to update IMEI info and the modems. Once an Oreo rom has been flashed, there is no way to get voLTE back at the moment, however 4G can work again (with the method above). This issue will probably not be solved until the official Oreo rom is released by Motorola.
Here is the link for a forum about this https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/help/restore-imei-0-moto-g5-xt1687-t3739808.
Hello, I know this thread is old. But I have a moto g5 xt1670 and it's been a week since I have lost 3g and 2g in my phone. I only have 4g. So I can't make nor receive calls. It is on stock Oreo 8.1. Going back to 7.0 stock didn't help. Neither Going to custom rom 9.0. don't know what else to do.

Trying using the QCOM option in the fastboot menu. Have been stuck on 3g since late 2017 and finally got it back by selecting that option which reboots me into the OS with working 4g regardless of what rom I flash. Don't know if it will work for you but try it and let me know.
I went from stock Nougat to several variants referenced here
Whether I'm using RR, Nuclear, etc.......the t-mobile signal is so weak that I'm unable to make phone calls.
Using TWRP 3.1.1. All installs have been clean, wiping system/cache/dalvik/data on each.
Is there something I should be checking or installing to fix this?
I may have solved my own problem.
For those who have the same issue, disable VoLTE:
Settings - Wireless & Networks - Cellular Networks - Enhanced 4G LTE Mode.
Which rom has volte function
Before we begin, let me just say that, yes, I'm retarded.
Here's the story. I bought the phone from Amazon in Mexico. I was using it just fine on the latest official update with Mexican carrier Unefon (MVN of AT&T Mexico) on 4G LTE just fine.
Yesterday I decided I wanted to give Lineage OS 16 a go.
I tried installing it but failed. I ended up with TWRP saying there was no OS despite having flashed it. Rebooting to system just bootlooped the phone.
So I gave up and went back to stock using Miflash and the stock image from a thread in here.
Everything went smoothly, or so I thought. Now my phone refuses to connect to 4G.
So far, I've tried:
• Swapping the sim to the other slot
• A different APN someone from the mi community forums suggested
• Forcing LTE using *#*#4636#*#*
• Tried to re-register on the network calling my carrier
• Manually searching for the network
Manually searching for the network returns only the competitor's 4G LTE network, and I just happen to have a SIM, so I tried and now know 4G still works on the phone itself.
I have also tried my SIM on an iPhone and the iPhone does pick up the LTE signal.
I'll leave a screenshot of the system just in case. Every suggestion is appreciated.
I have same issue, did you solved it?
Hi All,
I rooted my H990N yesterday successfully. After rooting i noticed the second sim i signal bar icon is greyed out. The first sim is working. There is a circle on top of Second sim signal bar like its searching for network. After that, i unrooted the phone and flashed the same KDZ again using LGUP. Both sims were working fine with unroot. Tried this three times and all the times, with root the second sim is searching for network. How can I fix this? Please help

I have the same problem, I tried the solution you recommended, but unfortunately it didn't work.
Is there any other possible solution for this problem?
