Hi guys !
I have searched for days to find a solution and even try to contact the huawei service without success...
When i try to unlock my bootloader, i got this message each time : FAILED (remote: Invalid key, unlock fail, error num: 8)
I have a huawei nova CAN-l12, and i get the unlock key from huawei. I have unlocked the OEM option and enabled USB debuging.
I checked more than 100 times all of my data and nothing seem wrong (except my english).
I really need your help ! :fingers-crossed:
Be sure that the unlock key is for emui 5 or before emui 5, they are different from huawei site

Thx for the reply ! My phone is working on emui 4.1, so i took the key before emui 5.
Then i dont know why it doesn't accept the key.
Retry unlocking and in cmd window dont rewright the key simply copy and past it.
Good luck

Already try it... I even tried on different pc. :'(
Try DC unlocker to get the key. I believe it is like 10 USD, if the key is the same and still does not work then you know for sure something is wrong.

sorry not funny, 1st april has already been.
guys if you don't believe me go put in your imeis, it takes all of two seconds
I entered my IMEI and it gave me an unlock code :S
i could be wrong but i seriously doubt that they have enabled fastboot for our devices (x10)...
I can give a secondary confirmation that this works. I just received my key to unlock my x10. This does work. When you type in *#06# you'll get a 15 digit #, just leave off the last number and you will get your key.
Doesnt work for me, Says not a valid imei, please try again. but my x10 is sim locked to Orange and it says "you can’t unlock the boot loader if you have a SIM lock protected phone."
Edit: ^^Just left off the last digit of the IMEI and it gave me a code...

getting the unlock code is fine but does the device come up/shown for:
13. Enter fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version, and verify that you get a response back (for example "0.3"). This means your phone is connected properly.
Note! If Fastboot displays <waiting for device>, check the host for USB device status. If any unknown devices are present, then check the driver installation. If your phone boots as normal and Fastboot is not starting, even though the USB drivers are working, the boot loader on your phone CANNOT be unlocked.
14. Warning! If you perform this step, you will unlock the boot loader and which may void your warranty. If you want to unlock the boot loader of your phone, enter fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY, where KEY is the 14 character unlock boot loader key you got from the Unlock boot loader web page. You have now successfully unlocked the boot loader in your phone.
True, it did work.

Hi Gents, Ladies
I have the GRA-L09 P8, single SIM south Africa. I installed B200 via SD card no issue, then tried to install I think B313 Romanian.? Not sure..
Device is now stuck in a boot loop - I see the boot animation, over an over....!!!!
I thought, and still think, I need a Huawei Bootloader unlock code, as the device doesnt seem to listen to Fastboot to flash another ROM.
Huawei site to obtain bootloader unlock codes seems to be having issues, and Huawei support will not assist. Right now I just wanna go back to the stock ROM and get my device back.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks gents, and ladies!

Did you try to do a factory reset, when the phone is rebooting and the screen is black before you see the huawei logo you need to be fast here hold volume up + power button together at the same time to enter stock recovery you should be able to do a factory reset from there.
If this doesn't work try to install B200 rom put the dload folder in the sd card. Hold the 3 keys( volume up, volum down and power) to flash the rom make sure to hold the buttons when the screen is black and before you see the huawei logo.
Great I'm try these thanks - neither will format the SD card right? Can I use B200 from any region?

No, but use the B200 you installed before on your phone. If you want from another region make sure the rom you download CxxxB200 , the xxx part matches the one that came with your phone.

Hi,
I have been looking for answers about unlocking my phone for ages, tried a lot of solutions but nothing works.
I have been trying to unlock my p8
One of the steps involved rebooting the phone into fastboot mode. Here it goes wrong because when i push all buttons: volume up/down and power button, the phone tries to istall some update (Huawei software installing) and then stalls at 90%
Then i have to reboot it again and start all over with the same result.
I have the adb toolkit, latest driver, phone has bee reset to factory settings, what else can i do?
Thanks in advance
R
Have you tried adb command "adb reboot-bootloader"? I'm using this command to get into fastboot.

werirly enough, i just clicked recovery in Hisuite software from Huawei and the phone went instantly into fastboot/recovery mode, no need for presing volume up/down and power button to get it there.
opened adb via the command and typed fastboot oem unlock ************************
got the message phone unlocked so i think that did the trick? Just need another sim to see if it is really unlocked
then i entered "fastboot reboot" in the command and it restarted, seems to work ok now
so i guess this one is solved by myself
i guess i am wrong
the phone is stil locked adn the problem of my first post remains
any ideas?

This is bootloader unlock guide, not SIM unlock. For SIM unlocking you need a paid software but i doubt that it's even locked to a carrier.

when i got the message "Phone Unlocked" i tried to insert sim cards from 2 different countries which work on another unlocked phone.
I had to insert a sim code but it does not get accepted.
I did not know there is a difference between unlocking and sim-unlocking
Is there no other way then paid software? The p8 i own is bought from Orange, doesn't even work with an orange sim from another country

Yes, they do phone network unlocks as well - here's their step-by-step unlock guide for certain Huawei models (includes the P8): https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-android-hisilicon-unlock-guide
Perhaps, you should first contact them with your details - phone make+model, country of origin, network provider & IMEI - to check if it's possible for them.
Right, I tried everything but my bootloader just won't unlock using "fastboot oem nubia_unlock NUBIA_NX563J" I keep getting FAILED (remote: password is error!!)
I've searched for other means but found nothing. What is this password and does somebody know how I can bypass that?
Originally was on 4.16, then updated to 5.15 (8.1 Oreo) with a hope that it will somehow work but it doesn't.
Any help is appreciated, fellas.

SOLUTION
I got it. You have to use: fastboot OEM nubia_unlock

This solve the problems with password error. In my case I have a Nubia z17 NX591J and it works when I use:
fastboot OEM nubia_unlock NX591J

This got me on the right track, i just had to add NUBIA_your-version-device.
And also to anyone else having this issue: Double check if your bootloader unlocking is really enabled in the developer options. I enabled it, and as soon as i left the developer options menu, the OEM unlocking was disabled again. Fix for this issue: activate unlocking, then deactivate it, then activate it again. You should get a popup asking you if you really want to enable OEM unlocking
