Hello, I'm a Lumia 929/ICON user looking to tweak the MVNO Customizations to enable MMS setting on this Verizon "wierdly locked for MMS" phone, can someone with registry access copy the HKLM>System>Microsoft>Cellular Registry key recursively and upload it somewhere for me, seeing just how much like the 930 i can make this phone before resorting to flashing a ROM (that doesn't exist yet)
Thanks a bunch in advance!

Hi Guys,
I`m reading the forum every day and want to say you are all great with all of your development and hints
Thanks to all
I`m trying to find few things but without any success:
- where are stored the SMSes in windows mobile 6 (on file, inside the registry or... ??)
- is it possible to change the WiFi SSID and key over the registry -- i have extracted all registries from my device on file, but cannot find any ssid parameter
I was also looking over the forum, but cannot find any previous discussions .
Thanks in advance for your help
Anything out there yet? Trying to do the ICS fix to my registry and it's telling me ACCESS DENIED.
Also, is the Snap considered Maple or Willow?

i had the same freakin problem, the only difference is that i have a Ozone.
so what i did was i used the attached zip, i just followed the smartphone instructions and BAM worked like a charm.
and good question about the maple or willow..cause the Ozone is considered the "Cedar"...? why so many diff names ya know?
either way..try the attached zip, it might work for u too
Closer! Now I can delete or change things in the registry, but after a reboot the changes reverse back to original!
Anyone know why this is?
I also have the Sprint HTC Snap and I'm trying to get ICS working.
What's the preferred program for editing your registry? Can we get a reprint here of which keys we need to modify?
Thanks in advance,
Doug
Hi, i think i've got a solution for this on the Sprint Snap. first of all, i'm using PHM Registry editor smartphone edition. google for this cab: regedit.Stngr_ARM.CAB
second of all, here's how to reprovision the security on the snap so you can edit the registry.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...8c-d587-47e0-908b-09fee6ea517a&displaylang=en
install, and then install the tools.cab on your phone from the install directory, run the security configuration manager and connect your phone to your PC, then provision "security off", seems to work so far, and the values stick after a power cycle.
However, a word of warning. When changing or deleting the ForceCellConnection, the value will revert any changes you make after a power cycle and you will lose the connection selection box in the ICS app. this is the only reg value I've found that reverts. I get the feeling that sprint had some kind of script installed that keeps checking for and replacing this particular value.
Also, when using ICS on the "Sprint" setting, it throws an error message up at me and says i need to enter a user name and password. What's going on?
I recently purchased an HD touch which was originally on the UK Orange Network. I then unlocked this and placed my UK O2 sim into the phone. THis already had Duttys Xtreme V2.1 installed. All Appears to be running okay but when I receive MMS msgs they are postage size images. Possibly because this is not an O2 phone or one which they sell on their network then this could be the problem.
I am not sure if this has been raised previously and I tried searching on XDA but could not find anything obvious. But there must be other UK O2 users out there that have resolved this same issue?
Senior member Senab kindly pointed me to a link on www.4mobile.com which may address this failing.
Does anyone know if there is a cab which makes the relevant registry changes to allow a quick and easy method of overlaying the necessary registry entries after a re-flash of a different rom?
This would ensure that anytime a different rom is applied then I'd automatically need to execute the MMS cab to allow normal sized images to be received. Any help, advice or information would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance JD76..
stumbled across this thread on XDA which may help (Post 14 explains it best)

I use this program for reg editing 'FdcSoft TaskMgr wm2005_3.1' which also a task manager
Thanks Eyebees but link does not work can you repost link if possible? cheers...

what ROM on your HD is it a Manila 2.5 with HTC messaging or Manila 2.1
just for ref here are my reg entrys for manila2.5 with HT messaging seem ok on Orange UK
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Jataayu\MMS\SP]
"UserAgent"="HTC_Touch_Pro2_T7373/HTCMessaging_Client1.0"
"UAProfile"="http://www.htcmms.com.tw/gen/HTC_Touch_Pro2_T7373-1.0.xml"
"RRPreferredClass"=dword:00000001
"Logging"=dword:00000000
"LogBuffer"=dword:00000000
Hmm - I have those exact settings installed in my Xanny ROM 1.7 - and I only get the small images. It's operator specific so I think we need to find a useragent that O2 has configured to supply full size images to....
Is anyone getting full size messages in Sense 2.5 on O2 - if so can you post the Jataayu entries?
looks like your not the only one with mms issues
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5255915&postcount=5075
have you asked in your rom thread about mms
I agree I think it may be Operator specific...anyone else out there on O2 UK with this problem. We have over 2 million members here must be others.....thanks JD
Right - I've had a trawl around and will crunch through these settings. If others can try that would be handy:
1) Pretend it's a diamond/N95 hybrid....
HKLM/Software/Jataayu/MMS/SP/UAProfile
changed to: http://www.htcmms.com.tw/claro/diamond-1.0.xml
HKLM/Software/Jataayu/MMS/SP/UserAgent
changed to: NokiaN95/11.0.026; Series60/3.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1
2) N95
UserAgent = "NokiaN95/11.0.026; Series60/3.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1"
UAProfile = http://nds1.nds.nokia.com/uaprof/NN95-1r100.xml
3) HD2
UAProfile=http://www.htcmms.com.tw/gen/HTC_HD2_T8585-1.0.xml
UserAgent=HTC_HD2_T8585
Plan is 1) Change setting 2) Reboot Phone 3) Ask Wife to send MMS
Tried 3 first as I reckoned it was more likely to work, and it did. Previous message was 4k, changed reg, rebooted and resent the message and it was delivered to me at 82k - which is a distinct improvement.
exported .reg attached (rename to .reg) - a click in total commander should install it, also pop in the sashimi reg folder for the next flash.
Can't work out how to make a cab.
Thank you jontelfer really appreciated. Is it just a matter of downloading and renaming and running. I don't have total commander will regedit do the same? can you clarify what you meant by the following: 'also pop in the sashimi reg folder for the next flash' ??? thanks again jd..
I can't remember if the standard filemanager will let you run the .reg file unfortunately. If you've got regedit open you might as well change the entries yourself.
The Sashimi comment refers to a package that will automate the reinstall of all your favourite cabs once you've flashed a new rom. Pretty usefull if you're into that kind of thing.
Jon was trying the O2 MMS setting you attached as a text file. But I don't have a Jataayu sub folder is it possible that is only on a specific rom? can you provide any advice?
I'm on O2 (UK). Had this same problem a while back with a new flash. My settings are as follows (WM6.5, M2.1)....
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\Arcsoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader]
"UserAgent"="NokiaN95/11.0.026"
"x-wap-profile"="http://www.arcsoft.com/mobile/UAProf/Arcsoft-MMSUA-PPC-v50.xml"
Try reading through this topic (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=549238) there's also a self-installing CAB there if you are uneasy about reg-editing.
Good luck!
Thanks

Jontelfer, thank you so much for your solution. I have been trying to resolve the MMS message issue for so long. It finally works. Thank you.
Thanks Jontelfer as well, only thing that has worked for me too..
I went through the flashing okay. And I was even able to unlock and do everything else including getting a code from MS. But when I get to the step that says run connection set up, it tells me that my carrier is not in the database and then tells me to manually set up my APN.
I know I did everything else okay, but I know I can't edit my HD2 registry settings because of this. And my market and xbox features don't work because of this issue.Please, if anyone has had this experience, or knows why I'm getting a "carrier not in database" when I run HTC Connection set-up. I would greatly appreciate it. I hope I'm not the only one having this issue.
Same problem here. Whats your carrier?
I already tried to add the keys manually using a registry editor. However it didn't work and the phone has locked itself again. Now I cannot even unlock it anymore using chevron (it says no connection) so I cannot launch any registry editor or try something else. Probably I have to flush it again. However what I still really need is a solution to this problem with the carrier.
I have solved the problem. My carrier is a small carrier from austria (bob). It seems that the HTC tool simply doesn't have any data for this carrier (the tool in win mobile 6.5 has known bob...). I used another sim from another austrian carrier (a1), whith this i was able to run the tool and add the registry data!
The Connection Setup didn't work for me too. Just ask your provider for the APN (Access Point Name) the Username and the Password and type it in Settings-network- add APN. Thats all.
For A1 /bob its:
APN: A1.net
User: [email protected]
Password: ppp
Yes, but entering the APN has not been the problem. I wanted to use the Connection Setup to add registry keys according to the WP7 guide. However, I already have solved this by using another sim of another carrier.
@oscar2010 did this work for u too?
Ok,
I have found very scattered info on how to do this so if someone can assist me i'd appreciate it.
I have an carrier unlocked cdma trophy that is running a 7.8 custom rom.
I am using this phone on Straight Talk.
I understand that the radio doesn't support At&t's frequency and I can only get EDGE speeds and am fine with that.
I need to ass Straight Talks profile to the connections app.
I have the xml file configured correctly and have also installed htc-provxml-deploy.
I looked in the root of the device for a folder called provxml to add the profile xml file in to but there is no folder. I went ahead and created on to no avail.
I looked all over the place for the other xml profiles and can't find them.
Where in the HECK! do i put this file.
I'm just trying to get the mms apn set up correctly so I can send a get pics....
HELP!!!
