Major concerns of most porter roms
1. Battery backup, heating issues
2. Alert slider and finger print
3. Camera and camcorder
4. Volte and signal drops
5. Ram management.
Provide some screenshots if possible..
Small request. Can someone confirm is custom kernel like Blackbird or Radioactive are working on this rom. It would be awesome.

I was browsing through pages of zukfans.eu and found links to what is said to be the xda-test Beta of AospExtented v5.0. I'm a big fan of AEX so I chose to share what I found to you guys for fun.

I personally haven't tried the rom yet so I don't know what it beholds. I'm not the developer, so no use complaining here. I'm merely sharing.
I found certain changelogs and test comments (Google Translated from Chinese) :-
** AEX 5 beta release, thanks xda dalao personal test bug: multi-task app interface upside down (nothing affected)
It is said to repair the camera, wifi, specific bug everyone test their own, feedback Kazakhstan, landlord to play the sea one day, without a cell phone, hey Machine friend test bug:
Current test
1: camera, Wi-Fi, phone, SMS basic normal

Considerations on the rom: its pretty stable, i flashed unofficial oreo opengapps and magisk 13.3 (i dont like 14.0) and only the camera doesnt work. However u should install some kernel manager and be sure to set all governors on interactive. The original launcher and some stock apps are vanilla android so they're very old but its pretty easy to install pixel launcher etc.
Btw i used the device with wifi only so i cant report on calls and so on since this is not my main device.

Dude you have posted wrong screenshots, that are of gzaosp not AEX

A major problem I faced was that the VoLTE doesn't work at all... (is there any workaround?!)

I don't think so. The point of such alpha & beta releases is not to be a daily driver with all features working but just to check system stability in a bunch of phones.

MOTO X2 2014 Victara device
( Unlocked boot loader having TWRP 3.2.1.0 old versions won't work for 8.1)
[GUIDE] (Please Read after point 5 with concentration)
1: Download ROM and Unofficial 8.1 Gapps nano or as your taste from below links
2: Open TWRP and prepare all internal storage backup and your NANDROID backup.
3: Open Wipe, Advance Wipe and Change file system and Format Data, system, Cache with ext4
This will erase all your data (If you are already at ext4 then no need to wipe with ext4)
4: Now in TWRP connect device with PC or have a OTG USB with files and copy files in internal storage i.e. ROM zip and gapps zip
5: Now flash ROM zip and reboot system and setup everything in Lineage setup
6: You will see some Chinese apps, You can remove them by Root uninstaller, this ROM is rooted by default.
7: Go to setting, developer options and click advance reboot.
8: Now reboot to Recovery and go to gapps and flash then reboot. (You must have latest gapps from opengapps.org or you will need to update play services manually)

Yes there is always on setting, and this is actual lineage source so no pixel style navigation bar.

Do it step by step. with stock gapps, same result, the rom only shows english and chinese, gapps are on pt-br, but system still as reported.

The bug with the wifi is not a bug, it is caused by any router. Each time miui 12 connects to your router or any other router, changes the mac address of your wifi adapter for privacy reasons. You can set it to device default to avoid this issue.

Nice miui 12 rom. I'm having some problems charging my phone, they are very slow. I came from Miui 11 stock using original xiaomi charger. With ampere open they barely hit 500mA but if I change to recovery mode they charge normally. Thank you for you time the rom is smooth!!

Just flashed this rom with twrp 3.2 and procedure was completed as butter. But turned on phone, showing miui and said data is corrupted format phone. Idk its because of twrp or anything else. But it happened thrice today. Can you please help? Tried orangefox but even after typing correct password it's not decrypting my data. Hope you'll be able to help.

Use orangefox 10.1 stable for encryption / decryption, orangefox 11 beta has bug with encryption / decryption.
If you can't decrypt with orangefox 10.1, you can FORMAT (not WIPE) internal memory to remove encryption.
And don't forget to BACKUP your important data.

Better use Orangefox 10.1 stable. It is based off TWRP and doesn't have the issues the original TWRP had with Redmi 5 plus.
Orangefox 11 is beta and has bug with encryption / decryption..

Working: ​
My (basic) testings all seemed to work quite well
Added features and patched bugs:​
Patched lock button in boot.img
Pre-rooted the ROM
Added FM-Radio from ViperOS (microG variant only)
Optimized features
Signature spoofing patched on microG variant

Known problems:​
Gapps variant is laggy (nothing I can do - Google sucks)
Your J2 shows up as a J3 (it's a port that's why)

Variant information (Which one is which?)​
GAPPS: This one has most of the stock Google apps (Drive, YouTube, etc) + GSF present. Recommend for most users. RAM usage 640mb on idle
microG: All Google apps have been replaced with FOSS software. Google Services Framework has been replaced with microG. Signature spoofing is also present. RAM usage 560mb on idle
DIY: Want to build your own ROM? This one's for you! Everything except the bare minimum has been stripped out, so that you can decide what to pick for your ROM. (For power users only).
Stock dotOS: The stock dotOS compiled by PixelBoot for J3 2016; with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Signature spoofing and Power Button patched. Most stable out of all. You will need to flash additional GAPPS to get Google Services. RAM Usage 500mb.

Installation Instructions:​[If you don't have TWRP, get an image and install it from here]
GAPPS:
Boot to TWRP
[Do make sure to backup your data]
Wipe Dalvik, Data, System, Cache
Flash the ROM
Reboot. Done!
microG:
Boot to TWRP
[Do make sure to backup your data]
Wipe Dalvik, Data, System, Cache
Flash the ROM
After rebooting, open microG settings.
Go to self-check and tick the check boxes that are unticked (that will initialize microG)
Go back, and enable Device Registration, Cloud Messaging and Device Attestation
Then go to Location backends, and configure the DejaVu and Nominatim backends.
Done!
DIY and Stock dotOS will be the same as GAPPS variant

i have flashed stock rom provided by u of dot os but my phone stuck at samsung logo pls look into it .....i am sure i have flashed it n follow all steps correctly

btw i don't have stock rom installed before i flash it......I am on viper os....then i boot to twrp wipe sytem cache data n flash your provided dot os stock rom then i reboot but stuck at Samsung logo

@Uniqueshiva thank you for the information. I had made a typo in the updater script that caused the boot image to fail.
Please download the new ROM and flash it. I've confirmed it to work

thx for responding so fast btw i will try it tomorrow as my data got finished today sorry for it...i will surely give feedback
edit- I tried stock dos os rom n flash arm 7.1 Pico gapps...boot animation appears but after sometimes black-brown screen appears after 5 min phone started but its written setup wizard failed i am not able to go ahead as setup wizard failed written every time so i turn off the phone maybe it can be the gapps problem now i will try dot os magisk gapps version provided by u btw i am curious that what is DIY dot os u give is all bugs fixed in it just asking..

hmm it could be flashing gapps causes problem with the rom...
yes try the gapps version i provided
the diy one is mainly for rom porters. it has many features removed so that rom porters can think about what features to add in the rom
only basic feature available in rom is phone and messaging support

I can't access internal storage after flashing. Stock file manager crashes if i open it. Stock browser says "no sd card, usb storage is required to download the file". There's no internal storage even after connecting the phone to pc. It only shows memory card.
Edit: Just wiped the internal storage and re-flashed it. Works fine now

there's a theming option in settings > display > scroll to the end
from there figure out what to do (I've confirmed its working)

I know, viperOS was much more stable because I took 1 entire year to port and test the rom (i started testing January 2020 )
however, dotOS was ported in only 1 month
so it is not as polished
but im glad you liked it

Hey.
I am using this ROM since 6th May (stock variant) and it is very great but has lots of bugs.
1. Bluetooth Audio stutters really bad (problem in every Android N rom for this phone)
2. Google Meet doesn't work (just shows the logo and then crashes) I am using Open GAPPS
3. Many system app crash randomly (sometimes even the launcher and system ui) requiring me to take out the battery and restarting the phone.
4. Camera quality is significantly bad compared to stock 6.0
But still a great project.

Omg 1 year......that's y it feels so smooth in viper os i get nearly 900 mb free ram with gapps again thanks for your hardwork.....I know that u may be bored now for working on j210f that is old device but still hoping for more
