MiA1 random reboots after flashing Sep build. - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

I was on stable oreo update then i rooted my phone using magisk and at the same day january patch came in so i decided to unroot but was stuck on bootloop. As i was getting late for work i flashed Sep build (that was downloaded on my laptop)
after that i started getting random reboots, it is the same bug that was present in Sep build.
Now i have flashed every single build from 7.8.23 - latest January patch and still facing the issue.
i have even flashed persist.img from TWRP but nothing seems to be helping me.
can anyone help ?
UPDATE - nothing worked for me, even service center guys flashed the stock rom but it didnt helped. so they changed the motherboard for free ( i told them i was facing the issue after updating to oreo ) I recommend you guys do the same.
- Visit the service center with locked bootloader.
- take the bill and your ID proof ( yes it is necessary in Mi service center, without it you wont be liable to claim warranty)
- tell them it happened after you updated to oreo.
- behave like a noob like you dont know a thing about flashing.
- profit.

I've Facing this prb too

Our problem here is not in the OS build, but in the persist image witch is responsible for the things like WiFi and keeping the phone running. Try downloading persist.img, put your phone to fastboot and execute:
fastboot flash persist persist.img

after restore persist.img

From Emui 5.0 to Lineage OS 13?

Hi guys. I've a Huawei Nova L01 with CAN-L01C02B331 and CUSTC02D002 firmware. I want to try the lineageos build published by grarak on his twitter account but some weeks ago i risked to brick the phone (i was already on nougat). Anyone know a safe and effective guide for that? Thanks to those who will help me

You can talk with Grarak on Twitter and ask him how to solve this issue and if it's possible to go back on marshmallow from emui5
already done so, zero response
Asked huawei for rollback link
Same problem here, so I emailed huawei for a rollback link. I'm on NRD90M so normally should be able to revert to original MM... No response so far...

And how can we go back to mm, is there a tool to do it? I have tried to flash mm but I'm not able because system and cust partition are bigger on stock mm firmwares, so once installed nougat we are not able to go back on mm. Basically they have to release a tool witch will automatically repartition system and cut partitions or release a mm firmware with smaller partitions....Oh sorry they didn't respond, I'm curious about they're response, if they will ever replay to you e-mail.

Well, thats whats the NRD90M build is made for, so you would be able to return to MM Its a build that should give the opportunity to have a rollback... However, what I have learned is that you need a specific updatefile to do this... This updatefile, does not exist (?)

[warning][hardbrick] dont flash ota updates blindly !!!

Hello everyone,
I am here to tell you guys. If you ever updated/flashed stock nougat soak test/ official updates on your moto x play. And if you reverted back to marshmallow. Then don't flash any ota updates you've recieved . Because it will result in a hardbrick (no fastboot/recovery mode).
As of now, there are no proper blank flash files to rescue device from hardbrick .blank flash files are present in leaked nougat soak test fastboot firmware. But they aren't working on these hardbricked devices
And I have seen almost 5-7 guys in past few days hard bricking their device by flashing ota updates
Motorola already mentioned that once updated you cannot rollback to previous android versions.
NOTE: You cannot downgrade to a previous software version after installing this update.

Note: if you ever wanted to rollback to previous android version then fastboot flash boot, system, userdata partitions only

I applied a guy's Twrp recovery n now m on Sept. 1 security path along with 7.1.1 . Will it brick my phone if I flash 6.0.1 again through adb. ?? And please suggest a way to root Moto x play on 7.1.1 the old version of super su isn't working.
---------- Post added at 10:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:28 AM ----------
Plus suggest a Valid way to get back to 6.0.1 . Bettery life is terrible on 7.1.1 . It was bit better on 6.0.1...even after clearing dalvic cache n all the stuff from Twrp..device can be hard bricked??? ..
my devices is bricked ****
Once you have decided to use custom rom and unlocked your bootloader, you no longer use stock rom. even if you use stock rom, you shall not accept or install OTA updates.
Many guys got their devices hard bricked including me and there is no fix till date.. Gave to various service centers and all are saying to change Mother Board, which may cost around 8k approximately.. Emmc can be flashed via Jtag box.. But guys using Jtag box are very rare.. As of now my MXP is kinda paper weight !!!

There is no working blank flash files available.. You can get the MB Jtag Flashed or get the MB replaced.
Oh man, I wish I had this information before. Now my Moto X Play is also bricked
Well, I guess I'll wait to see if a method to unbrick comes along in the near future.

Moto g4 plus bricked

I have a moto g4 plus .......i m update with oreo today.....after update net work is note working ....imei is fine....but network problem.....after i m downgrade with nougate 7.0 ......imei nomber is null.....after i m update 40mb in nougate system update....mobile restart for installing but now in dead mode......
I m trying blank flash but "waiting for firehose get ready" stunk at this moment.....
Plz help me some body.......
Which blankflash are you using? Try the Oreo blankflash from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79737114&postcount=1368 might require a few tries.
If you do get your device working, please do not use OTA updates whilst downgraded. It is not safe to use updates unless you full flash the latest firmware (the Oreo firmware is included in that link).
For your IMEI issue, what did your baseband and IMEI report as?

Please be patient, these forums are not real time and I see from your corrupted baseband the issues are bigger than I thought. That baseband is not fine or 'redy' as you mentioned.
Did you follow the requirements in the IMEI=0 thread? Is your device on Nougat, with TWRP, elementalx kernel and rooted? I see your device is on Marshmallow still, so you could try rooting with magisk (on Marshmallow, no need for a custom kernel, back up your device in TWRP, then flash magisk to your device, then try the guide again).
One we get the IMEI issue fixed, we can focus on fixing your baseband.

I've already mentioned how to fix this. Since I have not downgraded my device, use these instructions at your own risk
1)Root your device. Since you're still on Marshmallow, download magisk and magisk manager https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445 Flash magisk in TWRP and install the magisk manager as an APK.
2)Follow the guide here to fix your IMEI: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/guide-moto-g4-plus-imei0-issue-t3859068 The commands might be the same as under Nougat, but up to you to try.
Once that is fixed, we'll focus on fixing your baseband. I do not know what you've done to your device to get it in such a mess, so please do not beg, post in capital letters or repeatedly post whilst attempts are on going.

Please try to provide as much information as you can - 'trying to root my device' does not say what you have tried or what state your device is in. 1 line replies are not really helpful.
1)Your device still has Marshmallow?
2)What TWRP do you have on your device?
3)What happened when you tried to root? What procedure did you use to root your device?
