I am currently rooted with magisk and installed Xposed non systemlessly, I try logging in to Snapchat and it says cannot log in. I uninstall Xposed and Snapchat lets me log in! Anyone else have this issue and if so, is there any way to fix this?
Snapchat detects Xposed. also, non-systemless means you installed it to system, so it trips safetynet
uninstall xposed log in with snapchat relog in

Super Mario Run is detecting root and it doesn't allow you to play, even it doesn't appears in the Play Store if you have root. If you have custom ROM it doesn't work too.
Is there any way to hide root in Stock Nougat? Someone could make run Super Mario Run with root?
What root manager are you using? You could try rooting with Magisk and see if magisk hide shields your rooted status from the game. https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445 Of course this is assuming you have ElementalX kernel or a similar kernel already installed on your device.

Yes, I'm using ElementalX kernel and I flash Magisk but it don't work maybe there is some conflict with the older root. Someone can confirm if it work that metod? If it work I flash stock from zero
EDIT: I make it work cleaning the cache and data from the app, anyway I can't buy it, It doesn't appears in the Play Store.
It's working with Magisk hide
I have SuperMario Run and it's working just fine.
I didn't know it looked for root.
Using Magisk with Magisk hide enabled.
Nougat NPJ25. 93-14. Stock.

Hi,
Try to do the following to get Magisk working:
1. Install a custom kernel
2. Make sure you are running Magisk 11 or above as this has Samsung support.
3. Disable USB Debugging
4.Reinstall Magisk

Snapchat will fail to login if safety-net is not successfully passed and Magisk is installed.
R/W on boot should not affect the successful login of Snapchat.
Make sure you don't have the following applications are not installed if Safety-net is passing as these can also be key culprits:
1. Xposed
2. SuperSu or any other Super user
3. Any third party snap chat Applications such as Casper

Good job you can always check your safetynet status by clicking the third box down in Magisk Manager, a tick signifys a pass.
Thanks men
I had the same problem. I installed the stock Samsung rom then logged in on sc and made a backup of the data then flashed the custom rom and restored the data of me sc
Trying to pass safetynet to use my banks app and pokemon go, using the latest LOS14.1
I tried going the Magisk way, but it still fails CTS.
Is there anyway to make it happen with root and passing safetynet?
You have to use Magisk for root. SuperSU and LineageOS's versions of root will not pass safetynet from my experience. I don't know if it helps but I also have the Play Store and Nintendo's games enabled on Magisk Hide.

I used this guide and it didn't work. Is there another MagiskSU that I'm missing?
EDIT: I got it to work! In the guide above, it says to flash SU in Systemless mode. I just flashed Magisk without SU and it worked! Thanks!
You need Magisk v12 and kernel that includes bootloader status patch. I'm using old version of AX7Kernel, but Beastmode also has it. Not sure about other ones. I'm running relatively recent build and using Android Pay pretty frequently.
@edit And make sure to enable Magisk Hide
I've been trying very hard to pass safety net on my axon 7, I first tried when I had LineageOS, Magisk and Xposed (not systemlessly installed) and a few other tweaks that appeared to modify the system partition, then after realising they may be affecting safety net I completely wiped my device (data, cache, system) to make sure I had a completely fresh start. Then proceeded to flash the MicroG version of LineageOS, and install Magisk and Xposed Systemlessly making sure nothing I did affected the system partition. So I thought I would be set, did safety net check andddd it failed. Then I did some searching and found safety net will check for bootloader unlocked status, so I found a kernel (HELLSGATE.V1) which tricks safety net (or is supposed to) into believing bootloader is still locked. And safety net still fails, this is really annoying I'm just wanting to use Android Pay yet I can't. Does anyone have any idea as to what would be tripping safety net in my case, or how they manage to pass on their device?

Xposed is causing safetynet to fail. No matter how Xposed is installed, it will always trigger safetynet. But with systemless xposed, you can disable xposed in the xposed installer app by toggling it at the top and rebooting

Still get 'invalid response' through magisk manager even after disabling xposed
This is why mine stayed stock......
Normally I would at least unlock, install TWRP and root to de-bloat, install V4A and maybe Xposed. Had to wean myself off those mods on this phone but used to it now. Life is much simpler
Nougat is pretty good. Be nice to see Oreo official soon.

Safetynet doesn't check the bootloader. Look I can even pass safetynet while dualbooting LOS. Just wipe system and install LOS, OpenGApps and Magisk, maybe some other mod like the AK4490 patch and Viper4ARISE. That definitely will pass safetynet.
After a long time using SuperSU, I switched to Magisk yesterday, for it's modules and of course Magisk Hide. So, starting with a full stock B414 rom, I unlocked my BL, installed OldDroid's TWRP and flashed Magisk 16.0 .
Everything went fine, I'm able to give root access to my apps. What I'm trying to do now is passing SafetyNet check.
I downloaded SafetyNet "attest" from the store and ran a test -> Basic integrity : false and CTS profile match -> false :crying:
Reading various tutorials, I enabled magisk hide, selected a few google apps to hide (store, services framework) , enabled Host systemless and magisk Core (rebooted my phone between these changes), cleared Store data. Regardless of what I've done, I keep failing at SafetyNet check. Did I miss something basic ? Did someone manage to pass safetynet on a P9 Lite with Nougat ?

Hello,
i used it some times ago...
Try to enable usb-debugging together with magisk/hide,
then reboot and see what happen.. ( this is what i done )
All the best
Thanks for your answer ! However, it didn't changed anything, safetynet check failed. Interesting fact, after rebooting, both magisk hide and usb debugging are disabled... Is this normal ?
EDIT : It's more than that, usb debugging gets disabled as soon as I quit settings
managed to fix this using another xda thread, but safetynet keeps failing and magisk hide is always disabled on startup
