If you want to get mor fonts on OREO ,you can follow this way:
1.) select one ore more of the fonts you want to use here: ->https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/themes/noroot-font-styles-updated-02-09-16-t3453551 and download them to your phone.
2.) rename all files to ...hwt and copy them to internal sd folder themes
3.) tap onto the themes app button to see the option menu and select "text style"
4.) tap onto the font you need and press "apply" (you can’t install them as theme! please use text style option for it!!)
that’s it!
Thanks for this. I'm on Oreo and enabled the system extra fonts via adb. Unlike EMUI5, all I got was 1 more font.
Thanks it's run on PIE :good:
3.) tap onto the themes app button to see the option menu and select "text style"

can someone make a screenshot where exactly "tap onto"?

The main installation for swype went perfectly fine and it shows it being installed. I can go into language and keyboard settings and its there. The problem is when I go to Keyboard Types: Swype doesnt show up as an option to use. Ive done the tutorial and it works fine. I just cant find a way to enable it to use for text messaging as its not showing up as an input option. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
copy the apk in a folder on your pc and extract it
go inside the folder /lib/armeabi/ and you find this file
libSwypeCore.so
copy this file on your leo sd card
boot up android and with rootexplorer cut/paste the library file inside the folder /system/lib
reboot
after this, swype should be in your inputmethod choices
If the copy of this file is not allowed (and the system show up a message like "read only filesystem" and such things), I think you have to do this operation with a terminal with root permission (inside android, on your pc with adb shell, on a linux pc, and so on)
Otherwise, the way that can't fail is:
on your pc (a linux pc would be better) mount the system file in a folder, do the cut/paste operation, umount the system file, reboot android
Hope this help (and hope you understood what I mean ... sorry for my english)
Regards
kind of crazy way to do it (previous post)
The correct way would be that once you install swype, you have to enable it, before you can select it as an input option.
Once installed, go to settings, then language and keyboard, and simply put a check mark in the swype box.
Then go to something like messaging, long press the text input box, and then select input settings. you should then see swype as an option.
Happy swyping.
if it works, throw some thanks my way.

Thats the problem though. Once installed, I enabled it. Everything seems golden at this point right? Tutorial screen pops up, blah, blah, blah. Go into messaging, text input options and theres all the input options displayed
*Qwerty
*Phone keypad
*Compact Qwerty
But Swype doesnt show up at all as an option. The radio button is still selected with Qwerty. I followed the previous posters solution though and it now works. Still doesnt show up in the Keyboard Types which is odd but at least its working.
What build are u using?

5.Select Custom and click install.

I add original apk from android 2.1 to my nook, but i doesn't work. I now can't enter to setting page, wifi atc... Please if some one would be angel, and send me the true original settings.apk from Nook touch. Thanks.
Go to the B&N webpage for the 1.1.2 update: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/Software-Updates-NOOK-Simple-Touch/379003175/
Download nook_1_1_2_update.zip.
It is a signed ZIP file, you can open it with 7zip, http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
(Windows can't open this directly without stripping the signature.)
Get whatever you like out of /system/app
If you aren't up to 1.1.2 yet, just do the manual update and it will fix things.
(Except that you may have to re-root.)
Thank. I try this before, but this signed zip archive get me
Install 7zip, thak to CrossOver (MAC). Extracted settings.apk. And everything work perfect. Thank you Renate!
Thread moved to general, based on the fact it's not a : mod/kernel/rom.
I write it works, but only procedure to get apk from update to phone. Settings app dont work, I can't see a icon in menu (but don't know there must to be), anyway i run setting from B&N bottom bar, nothing run. I can't event add widgets because context menu don't show. Please has some one any idea?
If you are running 1.1.2 and you put the Settings.apk out of nook_1_1_2_update.zip in, then it's the right one.
Settings.apk 971,804 bytes
Did you put it in the right place? Does it have the right permissions?
Did you kill SettingsProvider.apk too?
What does logcat say when it bombs? Give us a hint.
Yes, I have same size Settings.apk. I put it to /system/app/, permission set to rw-r--r-- .
I touch only setting.apk -SettingsProvider.apk is the same.
When I click on top bar (wifi/battery icon) restart nook, when I click on bottom B&N bar nothing shows.
Sorry i dont have terminal, and wifi home, at this time. I don't know what try...
When you click on the top bar you start: com.android.settings/.Settings_Quick
Have you tried Settings in the app drawer?
When you click on the settings icon in the app drawer you start: com.android.settings/.Settings_Root
Does everything else work?
Top bar -Quick setting (restart) -not work
Bott.bar -B&N settings button (nothing) - not work
Add widgets (nothing)-not work
NookColor Tools -All settings (No applications can perform this action)-not work
App drawer (No settings icon) - not work
Activity picker (no settings option) - not work
I try this posible accesses with and without setting.apk in /SYSTEM/APP but same result. -there is no diference if I have app or if not. I try install app "clasical" way, but I got -this app replace another existing app, after I move next app failed to install.
Why I get message (this app replace another existing app) if I don't have in my system nothing touches settings.apk?

I downloaded a font from dafont.com, put the file in the downloads folder.....I installed the font and want to delete it out of my downloads folder. However, I can't. It says the file is open in the System.
I tried changing the name of the file, and I tried restarting the system....both no success.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Edit - Actually found out there there are more files doing this, and not just the font file.
To remove an installed font:
Start (or Win) -> "font" -> Enter
It will take a little while to load.
Scroll to or search for the font you want to remove.
Right-click it, and select Delete.

I want to remove the file from my downloads screen....the actual installed font can stay. I've downloaded / installed / deleted the file numerous
times, but this one doesn't seem to go away
Try "Deleting" the font, then copy it to your Fonts directory (under Windows) and "installing" it from there, maybe? I guess I'd assume that the install process would copy it to there instead of just using the current location, but honestly, I've never tried.
Hello,
As the google camera on ASOP and LineageOS is pretty bad, then our community has found a good temporal fix. (Thanks core720 for making your thread )
The one and mighty HTC Camera
Altough, there is one problem...... my perfectly rounded icons...... they are gone!!
If you like it the way it is you can only install the HTC Camera(Found by a google search),
if not continue.
So i have found an easy solution to fix that problem.
1) First, you are going to need the APK Editor by SteelWorks (Found at GooglePlay)
2) Download the pixel launcher icons apk (Give it a little google search )
3) Now download the HTC Camera (Found by a google search)
4) Open the APK Editor and press "Select an apk file"
5) Open the download folder and press on the Pixel Launcher icons apk, we are going to do a simple edit so press on that.
6) Now press "res" then "mipmap-xxxhdpi-v4" and press the save icon next to "ic_camera" and save it somewhere where you can find it.
7) Now you close this apk from the bottom of the screen and you can select a new one, select the HTC Camera apk and press "images" at the top of the screen.
8) Scroll down until you find "icon_launcher_camera.png", press the little pencil button next to it.
9) Find your saved Google Camera icon and press on it.
10) Press save at the bottom of the screen and then press install.
11) You are done !
Yay, hopefully you have now got your perfectly rounded icons back. and good luck to you on XDA Community.
