Would someone help with the spv700

I am considering buying one from the UK and unlocking it to work in Egypt so i have some questions
1- does the spv m700 have any software or hardware problems ?
2- about 12% voted that they didn't succeeded unlocking the device, Would they please explains why and if it is a problem with their steps or with the unlocker? Does the failure in unlocking affected by a way or another the device or the firmware?
3- Is there anyone here from Egypt or the Gulf tried it?Did you face any problems?

1- No software problems - It is a WM5 machine!!!
2- I called Orange and they sent me the unlocking code in 1 hour
3- I am Egyptian living in the UK

Query regarding the EDGE/GPRS Services.

I live in india and my frnd is gonna send me an unlocked t-mobile hd2 here in india.
Kindly tell me that would i be able to use the EDGE/GPRS services in india?
We do have the 3G services available here, but my query is that would i be able to use these services?
Or do i have to flash any custom ROm for that?
Kindly Guide me through the procedure.

Yes you will be able to get EDGE/GPRS, but no you will not be able to recieve 3G as the bands are different.
