I'm not sure what to buy. I want a new Hu to replace my stock hu and have been looking at both joying and xtrons. I was originally going to go with joying but then I noticed the xtrons has 4gb of ram which more is always better. Should I go with the xtrons or should I go with the joying either px5 or Intel? Help please..
I recommend XTRONS
I don't have a lot of experience with these android head units, but I do have an XTRONS unit it my Jeep (specific for Jeep/Chrysler ) and I really like it. I had to email them for help (because of something I screwed up) and they were very helpful.

Hi ,
I´m looking for an android Head Unit for my 2007 Opel Astra H. I found a lot of vendors out there which seem to have equal specs. Now I´m interested in a Pumpkin Android 8.0 Octa Core device, but I´m still a bit lost if this device is a good choice.
Can you recommend a device under 300 €?
Hi - I'm unsure which to buy so any advice is really appreciated!
I'm about to buy my first HU and all those I'm looking at have same spec: 8 core 4Gb 64Gb with DSP TDA785
The FunRover has a Spreadtrum SC9853I-IA chip, whereas the others have Rockchip PX5/PX30
Is Joying better in any way than the lesser know brands? Is FunRover respected (they say they have a European warehouse too). Most seem to use PX5 - is it good? Does anyone have any experience with the Spreadtrum?
I'd really appreciate any advice or opinions. I'll post a review once I get my HU.
Thanks!
Neither. Recommend Dasaita.

Thanks. Why are Dasaita better? Better audio/general quality/customer service? They seem to use very similar hardware.
I checked the Dasaita online shop and couldn't find a HU to fit VW Passat B7.
there you go..

Thanks, but I'm looking for a 2 din for 2012 passat.
Stay away from Joying ..

Yes, MTCD/E are all from MTC reference design. There are multiple resellers for each. Dasaita seem to be the best of the bunch in terms of reasonable quality, after sales (careful, multiple resellers).
Head over to the MTCD/E threads for more info. Also read wiki.
Hi guys
Can't find anything comparing these two units specifically. Which one would you opt for? Anything to look out for?
I'm leaning towards the cheaper Isudar as they look pretty similar
Isudar PX6 2 Din Android 10 Car Radio

XTRONS 8'' Android 9.0 HEXA core

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Hi,
Im looking at one of these units from Joying for my older Jeep. Curious if these are FYT based or not?

Does anyone have one of these adjustable screen units? Im looking to buying, the only thing I'm going to use it for is carplay thru a zbox zlink adaptor to play music and take calls. Will the 1GB model work ok for this? I think the specs are quite low, but the zbox Zlink or Carlinkit apps dont require much resources.
I ask if they are FYT because I have a Px3 2gb coreboard lying around, and if this unit is FYT based and I can just plug it in, getting the cheaper 1gb version vs the 4gb 8 octo core at twice the price seems like it would make more sense.
Anyone know?

All Joyings are FYT based.
I can't answer your other questions as I use the unit (4GB/64GB) as it is intended.
interesting. i emailed them to ask if the 1 gig+16gig one is fyt based and they said no.

Well, I guess they know better than I do, but if you look at all the apps: Those are the FYT apps.
Microntec, Topways, Antoto and other manufacturer apps do look different.
I would ask them which firmare you need for this unit, and then I'm very curious which firmware they point you to.
I have just bought this head unit on a local online shopping site. It is called Stapon S7.
From cpu-Z, the soc is from allwinner, octacore 2.6ghz.
From this photo, can someone enlighten what is this unit and any firmware avail?
hey same with my headunit, im still searching too how too root and upgrade this ROM, because realy slow, and many Forceclosed App
It's an oddball. So many buy then come here to find out the hard way.
Consider buying a uis7862 FYT type unit instead.
I also got stapon s7, Im suspecting it is a rebranded joying.
Im tempted to just flash joying firmware, but im not too sure if it really is a joying. Mine has so much similarity on joying system info in Joying firmware update.
Here is mine:
I just checked with Joying, it is not from them. They pointed out that my MCU has prefix of YIN, while theirs is JY
