So far and as I had this device (since March 2017) T-Mobile have been keeping up with the monthly security patches. I have another s7 edge with the unlocked firmware and has not been the case. I'm really surprised about this TBH.

Hopefully we get the Android Oreo update soon

I wonder if this is just a minor bug update or a fix for the Exynos root bug?

I’m assuming it’s for the Exynos 4 vulnerability reported a few weeks ago.
Just downloading now on Kies - any reports on what this is?
Anyone tried the Exynos root bug after this update?

Before new update APG1, I've had all sorts ofvulnerabilities. Now with the new update it seems to have 0 vulnerabilities yet it's rootable lol. I don't know about you but I like security

We're not using a vulnerability to root, we're using a leaked file signed by Samsung. No vulnerability needed! And there are always some exploits just haven't found them yet. If it was made by man it can be cracked by man its just a matter of will, time and knowledge.

August Security Patch?

I'm on PH7 as of know and have the September security update. Has the August update rolled out yet for Sprint S7's.
Apparently it adds vulkan API support.
I thought it had. How would a lay person know?

Settings, about info, security patch version
The only reason I want to know is because dolphin emulator supports vulkan, and it's included in the August security update, which for me, I don't have yet.
I have the latest updates

Okay, so August patch hasn't been out yet......oh Sprint
Has anyone been able to root and successfully active the phone on PH7

August Security Patch.... Already!

Got the August Patch OTA while it's still August even! About time Scamsung!
Yep, got it too.
Yeah seriously. I check for updates everyday.
( kinda an ocd quirk i guess )
And was very suprised to have AUGUST patch ready to dowload. Go sprint. Have us fall 2 months behind. Then give us 2 updates in 2 weeks lol. Now to make sure my note stays carrier unlocked after this ota. If it does i think its safe to assume i am infact permanently unlocked. ( YUP STILL UNLOCKED FOR ANY SIM CARD GOOD STUFF )
