Hello friends i was trying to root moto x style but first it got stuck in bootloader so i by mistake formatted every thing even the system etc and here i am now "No OS Installed! Are you sure you wish to reboot"
I unlocked bootloader by unlock key successfully, then flashed TWRP 2.8 and then installed SU file but as it did not worked i formatted fully including OS :crying::crying:
Now i can go to TWRP and boot loader is still unlocked so can some one please help me for from where and how i can get stock rom and flash it... i tried searching but only found Trupure rom but i am afraid to use it.
Please how can i get stock rom again and also wanted to get it root without runining everything... i am very much upset :crying: need real help now.
Note: i got it with lollipop rom then i updated via update from wifi and then i was on marshmallow.
I am Indian and using dual sim version moto x style XT1572.

You can use the rom from the link. Put on sdcard and flash away. The one you want is Deodexed rooted ROM: indian_mm_deodexed_rooted.zip

Hey buddy thank you so much for the reply and link. I will flash the zip from twrp and check and will reply again.
Also should i also flash Indian MM radio.zip etc??
@bw03
Buddy i flashed it with indian_mm_deodexed_rooted.zip and it worked. Also wifi was creating issue of switiching to off when trying to turn on so i flashed it with Indian MM radio.zip and it got fixed and working great.
I hope this will also benefit to other issues who are around same issues.
Thank you so much for the reply and help.
Hello i have the same problem I am stuck in twrp and i tried several rom but in every section i had error message. Are there any one could help me to open my phone?
Thanks.
I was following guide from this thread.
I did everything step by step, bootloader unlocked and once phone get started too then after flashing twrp i was not getting anything when i tried to reboot twrp asked to install supersu and i installed it.
THen i read somewhere don't install supersu when twrp asked ?
then i did process all again, but can't go through warning message of bootloader.
Please help i just want to root, don't want custom rom or anything.
did you take a backup ??? if you did restore it. otherwise do a factory wipe from twrp if it does not help Then download twrp flashable marshmallow stock firmware and flash it.

download from here forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-play/general/rom-xt1563-brasil-stock-6-0-twrp-t3272979
if twrp doesn't detect the backup then connect the device to a PC in fast boot mode and type command "adb devices" it will show you your device id . now take out your external sdcard go to twrp backup folder and make another folder inside backup of the name of your device id and keep the backup there and then restore from twrp.

It takes good 15-20 Mins at Moto Logo; Wait patiently and if it refuses to boot after that then do this :
Download latest TWRP and flash it. DONT FLASH SUPERSU from TWRP when prompted at boot.
If this does not solve either, download Android 6.0 + TWRP from this Link
Save it to TWRP \ Backup and then boot to TWRP, Restore and Boot as per instructions in that forum.
If this also fails, then simply flash FULL STOCK FIRMWARE from here and follow instructions given at here.
Bootloop on all nougat roms with stock marshmallow rooted with TWRP . Every nougat rom I try to use I get a bootloop and I have no idea what to do to make them work. I'm using a moto x pure.
Sent from my XT1575 using XDA Premium HD app
A few things to check. What bootloader version are you on? It will show on the screen when you're booted to bootloader mode for fastboot flashing, and the date that shows up there can be useful for identifying which one it is. Or you can enter this in a terminal:
Code:
getprop ro.bootloader
, but it won't show the date.
What version of TWRP are you using?
Have you tried formatting internal storage? (obviously do appropriate backups off device first) Just a thought. I've had some roms fail to boot due to files and permissions problems leftover after a standard wipe for a clean flash, but that has always been on other devices. I've never run into it on a moto.
Same here Upgraded my Moto XT1752 to nugat, then unlocked bootloader, installed twrp, then rooted, and in the end only custom rom (tried only nugat based, except for flyme) working for me was flymeos based on android 6.x.x (it is for moto XT1750) and ofc recovery options :/ Tried different gapps and different approach to wiping (wipe all, then reset, wipe again and then install rom etc.)
Can it be baseband issue ? mine is M8992_1255331.29.01.88.07R_Clark_EMEA_CUST ?
edit:
My TWRP version is 3.1.1.0
edit2: k already found solution for the issue https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/help/flash-android-7-x-x-based-custom-roms-t3633582

That error for other ROM is because you are flashing "oreo" ROMs and you don't have compatible TWRP. You will need latest 3.2.1 TWRP to install those oreo roms.
For installing boot.img, you can do it with TWRP,
Are you able to boot into twrp ?
First load boot.img in your sd card or internal memory.
Boot into TWRP > install > (install image button at bottom) > select boot.img > flash as boot.
For rooting, don't flash SuperSU / magisk directly.
Flashe elementalX kernel first, then SuperSU/magisk.
thank you so much It works
Hello,
I recently bought (ON DECEMBER 2017) the moto g5 plus (XT1686) Indian model..
After a week I unlocked the bootloader and installed PixelExperience 8.1 ROM,
unfortunately, I deleted the TWRP backup, so I search for "how to install the stock firmware",
I downloaded an old firmware (it has January 2017 security patch) and installed it thus, I lost my IMEI number it shows 0 when I dialed *#06#.
After that, I got an update on this firmware, when I updated (Hoping for I get back my IMEI), the phone got hard bricked,
then read a forum on xda , tried blankflash and got back my access to bootloader,
after that, i installed "XT1681-XT1683_POTTER_BRASIL_LATAM_MEXICO_7.0_NPN25.137-15_cid50_subsidy-DEF" firmware over and over but the phone doesn't boot anymore it stucks at boot logo,
then I installed twrp recovery and installed Pixel experience ROM again, but I didn't boot, always it stucks on boot logo,
then I select Factory mode instead of reboot in bootloader menu, then it booted into Pixel experience ROM, but the SIgnal is STill GONe,,
any solution....
i went to a local mobile repair store,
they also not able to fix that,,,
then I go to the Motorola service center, they also failed,,
the moto service center guy told that the Firmware installation stops at 80% because of twrp installed...
any permanent solution, please help..
Thanks in advance.. ?

Try to install this firmware using fastboot...
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=889964283620771881
It's for the Indian variant XT1686 and is the latest so far. One advice, simply never downgrade a Moto device to a lower version of ROM than what your phone was running before you unlocked and installed a custom ROM, it bricks your phone and you'll end up with an expensive paperweight.

Were all the commands successful? And about the booting condition, someone had this exact booting issue and I can't remember where it's posted, so I may not be able to answer that. Can you try rebooting to bootloader from TWRP's reboot menu?

Try using Albus Blank Flash https://www.google.co.in/amp/s/foru...oto-g5-plus-hard-bricked-solved-t3662734/amp/
And then your device will wake up in dummy bootloader
Then flash the gpt and recovery img
Then flash twrp recovery!
I think this method will work

Tried in twrp also...
In bootloader menu when select reboot it boots into twrp...
Also while phone is on (in rom) after reboot it goes to recovery mode....
Only when i select factory mode in bootloader menu, then it boots into rom*

Yes If you can access to bootloader then flash the latest twrp 3.2.1.0 For g5 plus and after flashing recovery then flash the debolated rom first!
Do not flash stock rom first you have to instal Debolated rom you can easily access to the rom from Xda
And then you can flash any rom after debolated
Hi, if you wish to sell your dead mobile,
Please let me know
Thanks

Okay 1st of all
install This TWRP only
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/development/dev-64bits-t3708091
and Then install any Custom Rom
I suggest these
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/development/rom-resurrectionremix-v6-0-0-oreo-t3754057
or
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/development/rom-lineageos-15-0-t3673573
Let me know
Only Do Clean Install
I too have the same no signal issue, but I have my EFS so I can get my IMEI but no signal in any sim. The sims are detected but there is no signal and it says Radio OFF , so I tried #*#*4636#8#* menu but it didnt help either. I lost signal when I was on LineageOS and tried flashing magisk and DolbyAtmos. After that I flashed Debloated and got the signal back but then I tried going back to stock and ever since I regret my decision. I have tried flashing different ROMs but no signal issue remains in each and every one of them. Even EFS dont help as I get my IMEI but no signal. Any help would be really appreciated.
