Hello, i'm new to having BT and i just got my tilt yesterday. One thing i need to do is get a BT headset, but i'm having trouble finding out if a BT headset will transfer any audio to the unit instead of phone only audio.
I want something that will let me listen to my music or video, and it will need to make some sort of indication that a call is coming in and let me take the call and then go back to the music when the call is done.
I don't want something that has some HUGE boom mike that resembles the head gear i have to wear for work.
I've heard a lot of good things about the Jawbone's noise canceling and sound quality, so i'm leaning towards that. I've looked in many places but haven't heard if the Jawbone does this.
I'm not concerned about stereo audio at all. As long as all the sound goes to the headset and plays in my ear i'm happy. Stereo is completely not necessary cause i'm deaf in my right ear and couldn't hear it even if i wanted to.
I think the Jabra BT8040 does this but is the noise canceling as good as the jawbone?
thanks in advance
Snow
edit: Maybe what i'm asking is, "Does the Jawbone play music and do calls?" I dunno, i'm confused lol
Any BT ear piece like Jawbone can have all sounds diverted to it by using a small free app called BTaudiotoggle. Do a search for BTaudio. It works great.
If you are deaf in one ear, the Jawbone is fine, the BlueAnt Z9 is smaller, cheaper, and Louder than the Jawbone. I have both and they are two of the best earpieces.
Thanks! That was just the information i was looking for.

the jabra bt 3030 is good as well, nice bright blue flashes when calls come in,and can take any ear gear with 3.5 mm plug, mono or stereo.
Ok everyone...I have my handsfree bluetooth headset working great for calls and can hear call audio just fine, but I want to be able to listen to any audio that comes out of my xv8600 so is there a cab file that mods the audio to send over bluetooth? I did a forum search and found nothing on the subject.
THANKS!!
p.s. - the headset is the motorola h700 model
This is one I have used..use...Not a cab..just drop in windows\start menu\programs and it will show up in the programs folder...sure there are many newer versions that would be cab style.
thanks. that did the trick, but wow...audio quality is terrible. I didnt notice how bad it was before since it was just voice audio...
anyone know a high quality BT headset? like as good as regular earbud headphones at least?
-connor
thanks!!
BUMP - anyone? with regards to my last post - trying to find a highquality audio bt headset?
this motorola one I have sound slike 11KHz, and not the full 44KHz quality, sounds very muted and distant, like typical phone quality when I try to listen to music on it...anyone?
It's definitely a hardware issue, so since I just bought this motorola one, I'd like to take it back for a better one, so please post ASAP if you know of a full44khz quality BT headset/earbud
Thanks!!
Heard "jawbones" are nice...and expensive...for that kinda money I would just purchase bluetooth stereo headphones..some come with built-in mics

the whole point is to minimize wghile driving but still get good audio....besides wearing stereo headphones while driving is illegal since it inhibits your abaility to hear sirens, etc...had a friend who got a ticket for listening to his ipod with headphones while driving. the cop told him he could hook it up to his car stereo, but not have headphones directly in his ear. bluetooth earbuds are still legal, thats why i want a stereo quality earbud (albeit on channel) but in 44khz so i can take calls and listen to
hq music

Just got my x10 few days ago.
was trying to link it to my car via bluetooth.
I have a 09 mazda 6
the bluetooth hands free and aduio works well with my previous device, which is x1.
but for x10, it shows that link is successfull, but when i play the music, there is no sound comes out from the car's speaker at all.
so then I tried with hands free, so i make my frd to call me, the display of the car does show the number, but when i picked up the phone call, my frd's voice wont come out from the car's speaker as well, it comes out on the phone's speaker, during the main time, both car's mic and the mic in the phone, wont get my voice, my frd didnt hear anything.
my other frd, which owns a 09 arcura tsx have the exactly same problem with me.
does anyone else have the same problem with me ?

I have the same issue with my connectors in my car (mercedes benz 09 12V) hands-free and stereo syncs with the X10 but does nothing at all. I think this is in particular a bug to be fixed with the Android update. I dont really mind since I use the car´s system to bump it up.
hopefully the 2.1 will fix this, thks bro.
Connection to car audio system via auxiliary cable
Hi, I am new to the forum and this is my first post.
I tried to connect my X10 via auxiliary cable to my car's audio system and I am able to hear music through my car speakers but if I want to use this method to call someone I can hear the ringing and the other person through car speakers but they cannot hear me, even if I speak directly to the phone's mic. The only way they can hear me if I unplug the auxiliary cable from the phone. Does anyone know if there's a solution to this ? Thanks,
i have nissan 370z touring with bluetooth. works fine my with car. shows phone number and i can place calls and receive calls fine.

Sorry for that.
The bluetooth works for me very well in my car. Renault Megane '09

Hi
I connect to a Parrot 3100 with no real issues. I did get better performance when putting the latest firmware on my parrot.
The issues I DO have is from the key lock. If its on, I have many issues with phonebooks, answering calls and ending them.
cheers

To fix this you need to plug in the sony adapter that came with your phone, then plug in your auxiliary cable to that adapter then your car system. The x10 doesn't recognize mic that aren't manufactured by Sony, so they have to pass through the adapter for someone to hear you on the other end.
I am trying to use my x10 with nokia's bluetooth carkit 7w. I get an connection, then it disconnects, shows its connected on the top of the screen, but i'll be buggered if it is. I have to reboot the phone to get it to connect, and then o repeat the sequence of events. If this is a compatibilty issue, can anyone recomend a carkit?
X10 connected to Toyota Prius hands-free with no problem. But turn on X10's bluetooth before turning on your car.
Sound like most of you guys showing off your car more fine
My bluetooth have the same problem (chrysler pacifica 06) and locale suck as i have to flip on the phone for bt to turn on.
It is 50 50 chance it pair up for me

I have no problem receiving incoming calls via my car HU, JVC double din Touch Screen DVD HU.
I have not test on the music portion though.
Hey,
usually I have plugged my phone via cable into my car radio. So I can listen to music and making calls and I can hear the other side crystal clear over my car speakers.
So it was with Galaxy Nexus.
But with Nexus4 it seems to be impossible. My partner can't hear me.
It seems, that the noise cancellation is active and filters my voice out.
Thats very annoying! Has anoyone made the same experience or a solution for this problem?
I don't know of there's a software solution. Simple $30 hardware solution is a Belkin Bluetooth car adapter. Works with calls and music. Nice. Check Amazon.

I take my calls through Bluetooth to my cars radio and it works really well.
Yea I can confirm the problem happens when on auxiliary in the car, I also made a thread about the same issue http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2027956
Yes, I've seen this too late, sorry!
On Nexus One we found out, that there is a line in the build.prop, which enable/disabel the noise cancellation.
But on N4 I can't find this service.
I don't have bluettoth in my car and it's a software problem. Why is the Noise cancellation enabled while using handsfree? Thats very dumb.
Used the phone through my AUX input in my car to make a call the other day, bit of a delay in the person hearing me at first but after that no problem...could have been a bad signal on one of our phones too causing the initial delay too
Hey
i don't know if someone of you might be able to help me (i hope someone know), but 99% of the time when I am using CarPlay it works perfectly except for one thing : when Siri talk / read a message or a notification the audio quality of Siri voice is really bad (and it's the same when i call someone, the voice from the one that i talk to is really bad in term of audio quality.
I don’t know why, especially that the music in the background is still played with a good audio quality :/
Maybe someone has a software update for my Junsun V1 Pro 8+128gb using a Mediatek MT6768 SoC ?
(I've tried with IOS 15, 15.2 and 15.4 and it does the same problem)
Thanks in advance :/
I have the same unit as yours. What car is yours installed in? Mine plays excellent audio with music but no sound at all when in phone calls. Wired CarPlay, Wireless CarPlay, Bluetooth phone calls, all use the microphone perfectly, but when it comes to hearing the other person, I can't hear anything. And yes, I've turned the volume up all the way.
