"Manage Space" on app info - LG G6 Questions and Answers

I'm on stock LG-H870. When I try to clear an app's data which says "Manage Space", the settings app will force close. If the button says "Clear data" then it works fine. How can I fix this?
Settings force closes on first image, works fine on second (in attachments).

That appears to be app specific and a bug. I would contact the app developer.

It does not do this on my galaxy s4 running lineage 14.1. Neither does it on any of my friends' phones on the same app. Is it then related to the app's support of the lg g6?

Google maps listed as not installed?

Does anyone's Google map appeared uninstalled in the android market? It keeps listing Google maps as an app not installed at the bottom of "my app" list. I reinstall it on my device each time, but every so often it reappear at the bottom the list as uninstall.
I've got this too -- also have it with the YouTube app.
I'm not sweating it, it'll probably get fixed in a subsequent OTA.
In "Market ", mine constantly shows as "downloading ".

Go to settings -> applications -> manage -> and clear data from market. Don't download youtube from the market because it's not the honeycomb optimized version (atleast wasnt for me)

Having the same problem. I've already tried the "clear data" approach, but it still does it. Not worried about it though because both apps work just fine for me, but it does need to be fixed.

Already did unfortunately. I think there was a youtube app right? that was somewhat honeycomb optimized? how do i get that back?
Its likely that the preinstalled versions do not exist on the market yet. It doesn't detect the newer version so it shows you maps since you probably have it installed on another device. Just don't worry about it. Once the first honeycomb maps update is out, it will fix itself.

I get this too, it does not bother me that it shows as not installed, even when i tell it to install it again, what gets me is that it keeps on giveing me that market icon that tells me there is an update or something else.

Youtube Loading Smartphone Version on Xoom w/ Solution

So I opened up youtube on my Xoom to find it loading the same App that my Droid uses. I was puzzled for a couple minutes but I went to my apps and uninstalled updates for my youtube app. Then when I went to opened up youtube again the problem was fixed and the beautiful honeycomb version of the youtube app was loading.
For a better look at this issue and the solution I posted a video describing this issue and the solution.

this happened to me too I just uninstalled youtube from the market and now its back to honeycomb version
This happened to me and resolved it the same way you did, but now the problem is that Youtube is showing under the not installed section on the marketplace.
mine was showing up as not installed in market, so i stupidly installed it. I get the phone version now. I just tried uninstalling it and there's no option to. what do i do now?
Uninstall from the Market itself

Forgive me if you already tried this. But go to marketplace, then 'My Apps' and find the youtube app. In the middle panel on the bottom should be a button to click that says 'uninstall updates' , this is also reflected in the above video in the root post of the thread.
If you already tried this, go to the advanced setting panel. go to applications and all apps. When there look for youtube app and try to force close it. If it was running now try to repeat the above step.
Hope this helps

thanks, but it didn't work. I first went to Settings to force close it, but it wasn't running. I cleared cache anyway.
then in market, there is no option to uninstall updates or even uninstall the program.
not sure what's going on.

Enable Youtube and Google Books on your Wifi only Xoom
Do Not Return Your Xoom
If you have had a problem with the missing YouTube and/or Google Books application, here is the fix that works:
1. Connect to WiFi network.
2. Go into Settings > Applications > Manage Applications
3. Go to the "All" tab and then scroll down and select "Google Partner Setup."
Clear Data.
Reboot your Xoom. (That is, turn it off and on.)
If this doesn't work, perform a factory reset (Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset) and try the sequence above again.
Good Luck

[Q] Android Markets Fix on My NC running CM7

Thanks high and low to you devs doing your good stuff. Get your vitamin D lacking self outside for a bit and have a beer on me!
I've searched high and low for a Market fix. I've cleared cach's loaded every market from 3.0.26 to the new 3.2.0. Flashed every Rom from CM7.0 to the newest nightlies. My screen density is set to 160. I've done the permission thing on ROM manager 100 times. Still no dice.
The market will not let me update or load apps that were no problem before. Facebook, Netflix, Zinio, ect. It seems the d*$& heads at google and the app developers don't like my rooted device. Can we fix this, or should I go stab some jerks in the eyeball with a cellphone tower ?
This was fixed starting with nightly 200. You should be able to find and install the apps. You should also be able to do updates directly through the AppBrain app now as well.
My screen density is set to 160.

•Market has limited visibility - This is a known tablet issue, not just a NOOKcolor one.
1.Start Nook Color Tools.
2.Select the "All Settings" button.
3.Unplug your NOOKcolor from computer. (If Plugged in.)
4.Choose "Manage Applications" from the list.
5.Select the "All" tab.
6.Scroll down to "Market" and select it.
7.Tap "Force stop".
8.Tap "Clear cache".
9.Tap the Back button if you have SoftKeys running, else swipe right to left on the status bar at the bottom of the screen (from the clock to the book icon).
10.Scroll up to "Google Services Framework" and select it.
11.Tap "Clear data".
12.Tap "OK".
13.Tap "Force stop".
14.Press the n button to return to your launcher.
15.Start Market.
16.At the "An error has occurred" message, tap "OK".
17.Hold your power button to turn off your NOOK Color from the menu.
18.Turn your NOOK Color back on and give it a moment to find your WiFi connection.
19.Start Market again, and the problem is resolved.

Leave Manufacturer set to HTC and Device and model to Vizion... then Try Manage Applications.... All applications.... Market.... clear data... return to you home screen... launch Market.
Tried both prescribed cures and still have the Market Coodies. Looked at my devices in android market and it says I have a Nook Color. How do I change that?

That's because Google recognized the device when you first set it up with the market way back when. I have not yet found a way to "deregister" a device with my Google account, I only see an option to hide the device. Maybe someone else has figured this out?
I'm not really sure that is relevant though. I am on 201 and have no compatibility issues with the new market now that the LCD density is at 160.

[Q] Can't re-enable disabled app

Ok so I was disabling a bunch of pre-installed apps from my S4 but mistakenly disabled 'Google Search'. Dumb move I know.
The first image is my current phone's firmware.
The problem I'm having is that when I go itno Settings>Application Manager>Disabled and click on Enable it asks me if I want to "Delete all Data and Disable App"
Clicking on cancel just returns me to the App Info screen where the Enable button taunts me with it's uselesness.
Clicking on OK asks me if I want to "Replace This App with the Factory Version"
I've tried disabling and re-enabling other apps to see if it's a phone problem, but those other apps have re-enabled just fine.
I'm stumped as to what to do. I don't want to delete all the data as I have 'Google Now' calibrated just perfectly to my current lifestyle, and I really don't want to do a 'Facotry Reset', setting everything back up again is a massive ball-ache I would certainly like to avoid.
Any suggestions would be a great help :fingers-crossed:
EDIT:
Ok so afer getting impatient I just decided to go ahead and click on "Replace App with Factory Version"
After deleting all the data the "Enable" button re-enabled the app as expected.
When I opened the app I got a message saying that an 'Updated Version is Available on The Play Store' so I went ahead and updated it and then replaced the Google Now widget on on my phone.
To my surprise, all of my 'Cards' and recent searches were still there, I guess as Google collects as much data on us as possible I should of expected they would of retained it, and on this case I'm glad they did.
So in short - Problem Solved.

How to clear or change "share apps" within another application

Can some kind person solve my riddle??
I was using Flipboard and was going to "share" an article via text message. I clicked on Textra (as this was my messaging app) and sent the link. However, I no longer use Textra (but haven't uninstalled it) and would like to change the app that I use for sharing a Flipboard link.
Anyone have any idea how to change or remove an app used for sharing? I've tried "Better Open With" in the app store but that doesn't work. Seems like this is native to Marshmallow or Samsung. I've done some searching and it seems like you used to be able to "clear" shared apps in the App Manager prior to this release.
Thanks for any help.
Go to settings>applications>application manager>textra>set as default>clear defaults.
