Help with identifying model, and problems with sound quality between apps - Android Head-Units

Hello, I am new here so I apologize if I am breaking rules with this post. I have been searching for some time to try to identify my unit, I've spent nights reading through the other threads and then give up and finally decided to just post and hope for the best. I want to mod my unit to be able to take advantage of the viper app to improve sound quality. As is only the youtube app and standard radio app will turn on my sub. Spotify and Pandora which I would prefer to use have the worst sound quality from all speakers and the sub barely turns on to a point of me thinking the radio wasn't working when i first installed because I was testing my sound with Pandora then switched to radio and immediately noticed the difference. I intend to run an amp for all speakers and sub, so I'm also curious if anyone knows if any of these units have pre outs for front, rear and sub as i may then look at getting a different unit since mine only has 1 set of outs and then the single sub channel. Anyway, first things first I have not been able after trying very hard and search to identify my unit. I've come to the conclusion it is an unbranded unit and is Model number "AC8227" and MCU version "IAP36/CM02.0.00.02_161215_19:42" i'm also going to include pictures of what that screen looks like. Any assistance with identifying or what I need to do if i can to root this would be helpful, thanks in advance and sorry again if I didnt follow some etiquette of posting.

when i looked into this one it seems similar. I couldn't find a lot of info about rooting though. I mainly just want to be able to use viper for the better sound quality. I get excellent sound from my amped speakers and sub on youtube app, radio app, and bt music app, but spotify and pandora are much quieter and barely push the sub at all. I'm not sure if anyone else has had similar issues but the problem here is that if I tune my amp to push harder to compensate for the quieter apps, then it will be very over powered on the audio that are working correctly. I was also wondering if the youtube app is possibly tuned differently since it is streaming video not music possibly? like if the unit has different sound settings for video playback than audio alone?

2 questions new head unit install

Hi all-
at one time I was interested in converting a tablet into a head unit, but lacked the know-how so I finally just bought one from ali express and installed it; android 4.4 and I can't post links so you can
use the ali search and enter: 2 DIN Android 4.4 7 Inch Bluetooth Audio In Dash to find the specific unit that looks like

For the most part, it's great- but I have two questions that would make it even better
(1) I can play music and audiobooks (two different apps) over bluetooth, and the audio is perfect. When I get bluetooth calls though, it starts with a blast of static and then nothing- I assumed it was a mic or feedback problem, but I just played a voicemail recording from the phone AT&T "visual voicemail" app, and it did the same thing even though that is just playing a recording and shouldn't be using the mic at all. Does anyone know what if there is some other difference between 'audio out' apps that might cause some to work find, and others to have problems? There are rear ports for audio input, but I don't think those replace the mic, so for now I'm stuck with external troubleshooting (I'm not ready to take it apart and start doing surgery on the unit)
[EDIT: it also plays the audio from Google Maps with no problem]
(2) The unit has a very long splash screen- so long, that I can get out my 150' driveway and down the block before it goes away and allows BT to connect to play my audiobooks. I looked through the menus but haven't found a way to shorten that screen. I realize this may require rooting if it is not a publically available setting. Where should I be looking (or is it stored in a file somewhere?), and if rooting is required, how does a newbie like me figure out the best options for rooting, preferably leaving the rest of the OS as-is so I don't accidently jack up the reverse and forward camera functions, etc?
I'm not a frequenter of XDA, but this seems to be the most knowledgable place for this type of thing- so I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction
Many thanks!

[VIPER4ANDROID] CleanAir - Universal Viper4Android profile for Apple AirPods

Oi, mates!
After browsing the interwebs for a couple of days in order to find a good Viper4Android profile for Apple AirPods, I ended up empty-handed so I decided to make my own profile aiming to be universally better with as many different genres of music as possible.
As usual, here's a warning you likely won't read:
I am not responsible for your damaged AirPods, ears, phone speakers blowing up or if your software decides it doesn't like you. If you come here and tell me I broke something of yours, I'll tell you to sod off. You're responsible, not me.

Having that out of the way, let's get into the details because that's what you came for anyway.
The profile is the result of a couple of days of adjusting and fine-tuning the Viper4Android Bluetooth profile so it matches the AirPods. While AirPods are similar in design to the old, wired Apple EarPods, the hardware differs greatly making old profiles obsolete for the modern hardware. If you still want to use this profile for EarPods or other hardware, go ahead but it will likely sound like ****e as this is a very specific profile.
I've tested this profile numerous times with everything from Vocaloid music to polish Disco Polo and out of 135 songs only 2 sounded odd in some way making this a very universal profile that should work for most people.
The profile mainly adjusts the equaliser as well as Viper Bass and Viper Clarity, but it does have some other settings to give the sounds a bit more "oomph". You can play around with the settings but I don't think there's much more that can be done as I really played around with everything possible and any changes just make it sound worse in my opinion, but you may disagree and it's your device after all so do as y'all please.
To get the best effect out of your AirPods make sure to disable absolute volume in developer settings, otherwise, the headphones will be very quiet. I also recommend AirBattery which doesn't affect the audio quality but fills in the gaps regarding functionality with AirPods on Android. Check it out for yourself.
Lastly, enjoy.
Do you have a profile for V4A 2.7? Or screenshots of your settings to recreate the profile?

Generic head unit fader doesn't function

Hi all,
Just installed an ebay android head unit:
For Kia Optima K5 2011 2015 9 Android 10 1 RAM 2GB ROM 32GB Car Stereo Radio for sale | eBay
Find great deals on eBay for For Kia Optima K5 2011 2015 9 Android 10 1 RAM 2GB ROM 32GB Car Stereo Radio. Shop with confidence.
www.ebay.ca
It of course has the settings page with a sound settings tab where there is then an EQ and a speaker button that opens another page where there is an image of car interior and you can move a dot around to adjust speaker focus. The balance seems to work fine but there is no front to rear change. Had thought it was because i was using a different launcher with poweramp but have since done a factory reset and it also doesn't fade forward or rear using stock launcher and localmusic app.
When I pull the screen down from top there is an amplifier shortcut. Have tried with on or off.
Any other suggestions to try or do these just not actually have a fader ability?

You have to go to factory settings and choose "without amp"

Thank you. Unfortunately I dont seem to have that function to be found. There is an amplifier page in factory options but it only offers level change between 1-100. Made no difference at 1.
I contacted seller and they advise they will send settings file updates to me to load. I thought fader was working when first installed but then stopped after I had installed agama launcher and another music player but cant recall 100%. Will see what seller sends and if fixes the issue. Other than that and the slight hiss at low volume im pretty happy with it for the cost.
No fix from seller yet. File sent thiugh different version # was same issue. Second update wouldn't instal. Waiting on further.
Seems it is also one of the fake info models. Info apps show is just 1Gb Ram not the 2Gb it tries to claim. 8227l it seems from cpu-z info given.
So should I just be rooting and changing ROM? Will that be fixing fader? Or would root and use of that Viper app provide for a fader setting that should function?
Will see what seller does next but I intend to discuss discrepancies found and likely see a partial refund.
Thanks for any further guidance

Do you have a factory amplifier on board?
No speakers are powered by the head unit itself. My car just has the base model stereo. I've seen a walkthrough to load a rooted rom with viper loaded. Just waiting on a male to male usb to arrive so I can connect my laptop and try loading that on

Android seicane h2 and external dac

hey everybody my dad just bought a new seicane
Double din H2 10.0 android
With the DSP add on
It’s in a 2012 Toyota sienna
We had a second there originally and we moved to an Alpine
But he’s giving me the Alpine to throw in another car so he got this new one
Problem is the sub else does not have any sound
Things don’t seem to be working correctly
I’ve seen this as a common issue
But is there any actual fix?
Also is it possible to use an external dac?
I have an audio technica and Berhinger card
Using a separate app to push audio through USB output it works but I want to get android system sound to go through
That way radio Bluetooth and all other sounds are pushed out
Hi, most probably , must change radio chip settings in infotainment hidden /admin menu, there is an option IC type of radio, must change to other chip settings.Try with that first

Seems like I’m missing stuff
I’m like really struggling lol
What is in factory settings ? Can you make photo of that menu (if it asks pin code try 8888 or what number it is)
And add photo of the menu RADIO in pic nb. 3 please.
"rk3368_user debug" - this is the designation of software update you might look for.
It is most probably on Russian PDA forum. Find & download right software and update device. It might fix the problem. That is one solution.
I'll study more when you get this pic of that radio menu.
P.S. What version of android is it and is it PX5 or PX6 chip?
Look for answers here also - this is for CAN bus and audio control related to alpine: https://www.wranglerforum.com/threa...-premium-sound-in-january-2020.2391881/page-2
Still struggling
For a 2012 Toyota Sienna
Here ya go
Ask your seller for update of system image. If problem is with software not hardware seller must have tyxxxx factory settings update files.

AiNavi X6 6G 128G - Caller cannot hear me, I can hear them.

Hi all, been working through a few glitches like camera's not working (software error, sorted) the last hurdle is Phone calls, so if I call or they call, I can hear them but they cannot hear me, on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, if I look at the drop down for audio output during a call, the iPhone is connected to Localhost, with this option selected the call audio is one way, with me being able to hear the caller but the caller not hearing me.
The AiNavi X6 6G 128G has Android 10
iPhone has the latest iOS
Did you look through the forum for this issue? It's been asked and answered many times.
yes I found one that seemed relevant which was google maps and microphone access but on my CarPlay google maps app there is no microphone button.
Joying Zlink (CarPlay) and an inability for anyone to hear me over voice calls

Is it an FYT unit, post Android system information including MCU version.

FYT builds units which are sold by many resellers. It is a specific platform in hardware and software (firmware).
You unit is not a FYT unit, but a unit using a qualcom chip and other firmware. In this subforum you will find FYT owners (and knowledgeable persons regarding FYT).
Your unit is unknown to us.
Having said that: Your issue with Carplay in the zlink app is comparable with FYT users using the carlink or zlink app for Carplay.
I think it is something the Chinese have to work on.
I will ask the moderators if your question can be moved to the Android Head units subforum
Ah Ok, thank you for the replies and info, I'll continue my search and if I find anything that fixes this issue I'll post my fix.
