Turn off your phone > pull out Sprint sim card > turn your phone back on and connect to your wifi then it will prompt you the update about 5 minutes or so.

I took out my sim it's been 1hr still no update does this method actually work ?

It worked for me. Did you go to phone settings and tap on system update? Keep trying that.

Sigh... Just do a manual sideload.

I have 2 ph-1s and my unlocked one has the January update. Just have a prepaid sim in it and use wifi to update

On sprint also haven't gotten the latest update.

Sprint lags behind. But you can sideload if anyone gets the file.

unless you are my dad(who loves his essential BTW) and have no f's to give about the latest and greatest, I always recommend side-loading. Carrier OTA rollouts are a joke

Latest and greatest?
I think 90% of the version is security updates.

System updates is not available.

When going to do the KitKat update after freshly sbf'ing to stock I am greeted with a prompt(when I go to settings>about phone>system update) that says the following; "System updates is not available without a Motorola service account". It asks me if I want to set up an account and when I try it just has a spinning circle that never goes away. I am on 9.30.1. I have tried a factory reset multiple times with no success. Any ideas on a fix?
Perhaps someone will pull the official update from their cache and you could apply in the same manner as the soak test leak

I do! I even had the phone into the Verizon store today and they played with it for about an hour (near as I can tell, they didn't do anything I hadn't already tried). The consensus was that I needed a new phone, so they are going to overnight a new phone out to me.

Really?!?! That's a little excessive. I really think its just a problem on Motorola's end if everyone is suddenly getting this problem.

Okay I have bad news. I just got off the phone with a tech support agent at Motorola. They asked for my IMEI, I gave it to them and they told me they could tell i was rooted(which is funny because I'M ACTUALLY NOT ) and that the Motorola servers don't push updates to rooted phones. makes me question a lot because when i was actually rooted i got the update, but now that i'm not i don't? This is a mess. I just want my update.

Anyone in Canada get the 6.01 update yet?

Just wondering if anyone in Canada get the latest 6.01 OTA update Yet? My Nexus 6p is still on the MDB08L version.
Nope. Just Manually updated, but I would not worry about it, the radio that comes with it doesn't work well with lte. I had to flash radio 2.15 from mdb08l to get lte working again.
My buddy got his update almost a week ago and I haven't got mine yet...
Got mine updated about 76 hours ago. Didn't see much difference other than mms working flawlessly now.
I think I got mine the day it came out. I was rooted and had the L build flashed from the website. The notification just popped up. My wife's 6P unrooted didn't get the notification.
Just got the update.

Me too. Just got it about 12noon here.
Of course it temporarily screwed up my Microsoft health app (which I use for the Band 2), but MS fixed that too.
Seems smooth so far.
Rogers got it today. Make sure to restore to default your access point to use LTE.

What do you mean. Can you explain it.
Seems like 6.0.1 has little bug that switches LTE off. I fixed it by restoring my access point to default.

I know that the update is regional based. Not carrier based. I just wanted to know if anyone in Canada got it.

It is not regional at all. Nothing to do with geographical location as long as it's the exact same build. Some regions have a separate build and that would have it's own factory image available.

Is anyone else getting a notification for a new update?

I just got an notification for a new update. I already got the update from T-Mobile a few days ago. I'm assuming this is a new one.
I did a factory reset two days ago but I believe the system updates stay on there even after a factory reset.
I'm just wondering if this is something new? The update is from Samsung and it says "Critical System update"
Nope. Nothing here.

Battery life is absolute amazing in this update. It's been installed for 10 minutes and I'm already going on 6hrs sot. ?

T-Mobile April 1st software update

FYI. Update for the LG G6 on T-Mobile.
Yup I just got the same result after manually checking.
If your screenshot of the software info is after update, then I already have this update. Manufacturer date of the phone is 3/17/17.
Yeah mine is up to date.

K. I did check manually for an update a few times before (and today) and it didn't say anything about it being available so it may be a smaller pool of people that are getting it.
Anyone knows the update notes ?

Howdy. And welcome to GSM land.
Unfortunately no G6 for me. Still paying off my G5 and no one wants to buy it.
Mi Mix is a nice looking phone. :good:
If anyone's got a connection for bad IMEI G6 or something let me know. :fingers-crossed:

I don't think it will affect whether we get root or not but I have noticed my battery life isn't as good after this update. It was much better with the software that the phone shipped with.

It was supposed to hit uk first shocked you guy still don't have it. I mean so far it's decent but a lot of bugs if you don't to a fresh factory reset.

If your on a carrier locked phone in the UK you won't get it it's only for unlocked devices in the UK and if you do have an unlocked device i suggest going back to pie and then trying it if your already on pie then you'll sadly have to wait
I enrolled for the beta but it shows "status:withdrawn" on the top of the registration page and also still gives me an option to withdraw. Now since i have enrolled can i simply update via adb (I haven't received the OTA update yet) and still receive future updates??
