Hi Guys. Has anyone here used both Ex and Franco kernel manager? If you have I would like to know which one you prefer and why. I am looking for a universal kernel manager which gives me great customisation regardless of which kernel I use and full featured. I am currently using Blu kernel but not liking Kernel Auditor or MTweaks. Any recommendation on other apps is also appreciated.

I prefer EXKM because of it's clean UI, the integrated features and its fast and not overloaded with unnecessary stuff.
But as with everything else: it depends on the personal taste.
I like them both but with EXKM you have more control I feel. In the end its up how you feel they do for you.
Thanks guys. I looked around on other forums as well and people seems to be leaning towards EXKM as well. Looking at the screenshots it does look cleaner as well.
Isn't franco kernel mananger limited to only use toghether with his kernel ?

Is there any apps that can control the kernel? For example, the faux clock app or the franco kernel control app.
On the other hand, can I use fauxclock app / franco kernel app, to control kernel other than faux/franco kernel? As some of the kernel doesn't provide a specific controlling app. Is there any apps that ae universal, which can control all kinds of kernel? As I am a noobs, I don't know how to dig into the codes.

Trickster Mod is a great kernel control app!
Yeah, Trickster will let you control most aspects of custom kernels. Each kernel may have unique features that Trickster can't control, where you'll have to use a specific kernel app. But for trying different kernels and find what suits you best, Trickster is definitely the way to go.

I seem to remember that Semaphore by stratosk has its own app, as does Trinity from morphic - those are the ones I can think of right now...
Franco has its own application which allows customization of the kernel and also downloading of latest nightly or stable version.
It's the Franco kernel updater.
Unleashed by my Nexus 4
I have had this phone since release and have been flashing ROMs and Kernels to it from the beginning. I mainly bounce on the ROM side from ParanoidAndroid to SlimKat to Purity. I tend to use either AK as a Kernel or a variant of Hells. I want to flash a ROM and Kernel combo that I can stick with (until I grab a Nexus 6 that is). I only need 3 things from any STABLE ROM / Kernel combination but they are non-negotiable in no particular order. Smooth performance, battery longevity and optimal audio quality. I would like whatever combo to be specifically geared towards that if at all possible. I am a junkie / flash addict and need this viscious cycle to end! Haha. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance!

yes.. Inbuilt kernel is good. or try ak.
Awesome. Thanks for your help. One last thing. Do you have any custom settings for the AK Kernel I can use? I see a lot of people tweaking and optimizing Kernels but never have myself. Perhaps you have something you could share. Anyway, I'll flash your suggestions in a day or two and let you know how it went.

Can anyone advise the best app to adjust settings on the 6p stock kernel? I am using kernal auditor and it seems to work ok. From the app store comments, it looks like Trickster doesn't work well with the 6p? Any feedback appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Any/all should have the same feature set more or less in the stock kernel. I prefer ElementalX and Kernel Aduiter

He said for the stock kernel, not a custom one
Because that, there are so many custom rom that you choose. Which would you choose?
I'm on revivorOS because stock gives me more battery fuel. Overclocked cpu with elementalx kernel and viperarise audio mod.
PureNexus with elementalX kernel works best for me...

You can find DU at devs-base.
As for ElementalX I disable all memory killers, disable the 4 big cores, and use the interactive governor tweaks as described here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2769899

Hi guys, what app would you suggest as general kernel management app and why?
I want to buy ExKernel manager or FK kernel manager.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.exkernelmanager
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.kernel
Is there any big difference between these two?
Thanks.

EX because I'm using the ElementalX kernel.
Generally speaking there are no 'the best', as it depends on your individual needs. They them, try Kernel Adiutor and make your own opinion.

I personally think if you want a lot of different tweaking features go with exkm, if you want something simple and easy to use, go with FK. Depends on what you want to do.
