Hi have anyone been able to video call from the default dialer on lineage os or other lineage based rom ? I was able to video call on the stock rom using the default dialer but ever since I switched to lineage whenever I try the call gets disconnected instantly. Video calling with other apps (whatsapp,signal) works perfectly but not with the default dialer. Can anyone tell whats wrong ??

I am currently running alliance ROM. When I attempt to make a video call thru the dialer it always fails. I have frozen some system apps so does anyone know what services making a video call depends on? Would like to get it working if possible.

I'm on at&t sgn3 alliancerom, and I have the same issue. But I'm not quite sure as to what the video call would go through? Do I have to link it to a skype/oovoo/tango account or something?

PlZ help me for call recording. I tested more than 10 Sw and all don,t record other side voice!
call recorder full 1.5.2 was ok on 4.4.2 by flashing ediaserver-update.zip and alsa-update.zip
Now on android 5 it does not work.
are there any tested software?
any way for recording both side???

You can use Skvalex Call Recorder (must be rooted). I use it for months without problem.

The app "InCall Recorder" works great. It is non longer maintained but it still works, and for like a dollar you can activate the premium features which automatically record all calls and you can have it automatically upload to dropbox.
com.grinzone.incallrecorder is the package name in case you can't find it. It is no longer on play store and the xda page only has links to play store.
I noticed after a few calls that my dialer suddenly has a video calling option that has appeared in the dialer. I personally find it annoying and would like to remove it. I have
disabled HD voice and video calling in the settings and video calling in the dialer settings. Are there any options to remove it and keep it removed?
P.S. I am running stock (rooted) NK2 with safestrap installed.
I'm joining the waiting party as the video calling button costs me 0.70€ per click -.- and its easy to missclick...please, any solutions? Xposed approach maybe? I'm running Superman ROM on S7 G930F rooted.

I don't think there's anyway to remove it currently unless there is some Xposed module that could. Your best bet is to flash custom ROM as I'm on CM13 and the option has disappeared. Which is ironically a problem in my case because my parents are still paying for it lol
Can anyone confirm if there is a way of changing the In-Call screen to MIUI screen on Lineage OS?
I love MIUI In-Call screen and recording function
Miui stuff is deeply integrated into the framework so its not possible to port any miui stuff to custom ROMs.

U can check out the pixel dialer & contacts mod (the one with new in call ui) ,guess it has audio recording.
Google it.

OK, so I flashed this mod, it worked.
Way better than stock dialer app, however no call recording function available.
Something is better than nothing.

If you are using Lineage '13' then u can use xposed modules for enabling recording.
On nougat, use 3rd party apps instead.
I am using Treble Havoc OS. I clean flashed it and it is working great except one little problem.
My mic and speaker doesnt work when i make call...It works in viber, whatsapp and any other messaging app, but not phone app.
I searched google and found that changing line "persist.vendor.audio.fluence.voicecall=true" to =false in build prop works, but i dont have that line.
I was using havoc 3.5 when i noticed this problem and updated it to 3.8 but problem still exists.
Can somebody please help me with this, is there any fix?
