So, I had to change my original Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime charger 'cause I lost it, and I went for AUKEY quick charger -> https://www.amazon.it/AUKEY-Caricabatterie-Caricatore-Samsung-iPhone/dp/B01AHYR04M, tempted by the possibility of charging my phone in less than the usual 2 hours.
However, I'm realizing now I probably did a bad move, since I'm reading many posts about how using a quick charger can reduce your battery life on the long run, some state they've used quick charge from the beginning (I mean right after they bought their phone) and they had to change battery or phone after one year and half more or less, not even able to reach more than 2 years, whereas some other claim they've always used a normal charger and their battery is as still good as the "old" times.
I'm thinking about sending the charger back and take a normal one, what's your opinion about it? Should I go for a charger with 2.0A in output?
R4P doesn't have Quick Charge compatibility in any case. It'd probably overheat like crazy even if it did.
Sure it has...

... see that circle around the thunderbolt icon? That means fast charging, when I charge the phone with a non quick charger, it only appears the thunderbolt. And it's also stated in the block screen, "Fast charging".

It's been rather hit or miss with car chargers. Have a look over here: http://www.droid-life.com/2015/10/19/nexus-6p-nexus-5x-quick-charge/ As you can see, you might get really good results with that, or you might not. I've had good results with their products, so I personally wouldn't be overly concerned. The point is though - we won't know until someone tries it and reports the results back.
If you're buying through Amazon, you can always return it. Go get the Ampere app from the play store, plug it in to that charger, and if you're not satisfied with the results, send it back.
I suggest the tronsomart. It's not true 3A but it'll be good enough.
Good
many one are using this charger and it is really a good one for long drive.
I can confirm it the 6P does at least display the "Charging Rapdily" message when using this charger though it won't take advantage of the 3A the 6p can handle. Seems to work fine.

hey guys,
i have the wiredest problem.
i've phurched a new galaxy s5 and when i connect it to the charger, a charging icon appears but the battery % dosent go up, only down.
i've downloaded many battery analysing app and theey all seem to think that everything is fine, that the current flows and all, but the % dosent go up!
i switched a battery and a cable and its definitly a phone problem (i can charge the battery in another phone)
some suggested that i sould replace the charging port but it looks completly new and fine, and also cost quite a lot of money to replace.
is there any other soultion?
thanks!!
Sorry I encountered the same problem on my old s3. I finnaly solved the probleme by changing the micro hdmi port. Sorry I know you won't here this but i search everything. I replace myself it's not so hard. I do it because my s3 was in ending life.
It does sound like the charger port.....
The replacement parts aren't that expensive (under £10 off eBay).
Just make sure you get the right one....
Look at the pictures......

These parts are device variant specific......
It would probably be a good idea to match 'rev' versions too.....that was certainly the case with the S2....If the wrong rev version board was put in, it led to signal problems etc......

Greetings,
I have a couple of questions about my wireless charger. Sometimes, when I remove the phone after charging the green LED on the charger stays on. Other times it goes off. When it stays on, the charger stays a bit warm. I am not sure exactly how warm but noticeable. Also, if I leave the phone on the charger after charging is complete, the battery on the phone stays at about 30C measured through Ampere. Is that normal or a bit warm. Thanks for any insight on this.

I just got the fast wireless charger myself. As well as the S7E (G935T). The last time I played with wireless charging it was a DIY mod to my Galaxy S3 using parts from a palm (treo?) but the charging was slow so it was a fun project but not nearly as functional.
I got the newer ##930## model wireless charger from Samsung, and I notice the phone get warmer vs the wired plug.
I wonder if using the wireless all the time would reduce the battery life of the phone? I'm guessing yes

Here's the wireless charger I use. It works through my ZizoBilt case ( similar to an Otterbox defender ). It charges about the same as a wired NON rapid charger. It definitely keeps up playing a video with the screen on max brightness.

I have one a friend has asked me to look at.
It is totally unresponsive
I do not know what version of the A7 it is, as I see on the forum headers, there are 2 x A7 varieties, A7 10 and A7 30.
There is no sticker on the rear, and it will not start.
It has been charged over 12 hours with correct charger.
Have tried power/volume up plus power volume down combinations, no go. Tried holding power on for 30 seconds.
Screen shows no indication of starting, no vibration motion, nothing.
I took the back off, removed the battery clip as seen on many tutorials, reattached, still no go.
Multi meter shows battery at 3.1v storage.
PC (Windows) does not recognise the tablet is attached when connected to pc...nothing happens at all on the pc or tablet.
Any guidance please, as it is well out of warranty.
Thank you
Hi,
Still no go with this.
I am trying to determine whether in fact the usb charger point is actually supplying power to the unit, thinking there may be a problem with the adapter on the motherboard?
I have tried many chargers, all with no success.
This is what it looks like where you connect the power cable to the tablet, and I was wondering if someone could tell me, what points can I put a multimeter on the correct areas to see if the connector is my possible culprit.
Can someone suggest some locations, what outputs it should display?
Battery is a L1CP3/87/100 L13D1P31 Li Polymere Charging Limit voltage 4.35VDC Capacity 3450 MaH/13.1wH. I am using a 5V charger and cable.
Many thanks

Hello Team,
after 2,5 years I replaced my old battery. I received the origin Huawei HB416683ECW 3450mAh and replaced it
However it is draining / discharging faster than the old one.
- I performed calibrations as on the picture
Method 1. Still discharging fast
- performed factory reset - renewed the application - still discharging fast
- wiped all partitions, flashed the latest angler imager (dec 2018) and ragvans 4core fix. Installed only "devcheck" and "AccuBattery". Still showing discharge current about 1000 mA. Sometimes is shows 400mA, sometimes 175mA, often it shows higher discharge current (more than 800mA).
Mobile network is 4G, mobile data switched off, only Wifi is switched on and position and bluetooth is also switched off. Adaptive brightness switched offOnly those 2 application running in background, installed.
After 14 min of not using it, battery dropped by 2 %
See timestamp on screenshots
The 4core fix was installed also before battery replacement and it was not discharging so quickly.
On battery is written 2018.
