Welcome Everyone!
I have Asus ZenFone 3 Max [ ZC520TL ]. Phone is after touchscreen replacement, i think it's not original because don't have ASUS logo on bottom.
The touchscreen is not full sensitive, sometimes good pretty good, but sometimes i need to touch 3-4 times to get reaction...
Is there any solution for calibration or something? I try Turn ON GPU Rendering and Turn OFF screen animations to 0
Replace with ORIGINAL touchscreen, that's the only solution.

I dropped my Oppo Find 5 recently, and the screen was broken. Also the digitizer and touch screen was not responding anymore, so the phone was unusable. My brother bought a new screen on Aliexpress.com:

So, everything was working perfect after the replacement, but the screen flickers on and off. Can I do something about this, or is the screen not capable for the Oppo Find 5? Interesting detail is that the screen doesn't flicker when I'm in Recovery Mode. Below is a video of the flickering:

Hi, I bought my a500 almost 3 years ago and have been messing around with it for a while.
my cousin, who is working at the home appliances store disassembled my a500 to fix the unresponsive volumn button.
I turned on my a500 right after he reassembled it. Then the touch screen was partly unresponsive. almost 1/3 of the touch screen was not working and 2/3 of the touch screen was still working. I have been very uncomfortable with this and even tried to replace the display.
Please give me a good advice about this problem. I'm perfectly serious right now...
Now I know this problem has been asked before but after some extensive searches I can see there are no clean fixes for this.
My Nexus 4 (Android 5.0.2 LiquidSmooth ROM) has started showing ghost touches at the bottom part of the screen. I know there are a lot of explanations available such as digitizer not working, battery being too old etc. But I'm not interested in these hardware issues/fixes.
I have isolated the area of effect as the bottom ~160 pixel height of the device. I then proceeded to use the ADB shell command
wm overscan 0,0,0,160
which removed that portion from the UI. This fixed the effects these phantom touches have on the apps or UI. But a problem still remains that these ghost touches happen in too many numbers and this leaves other usable areas of the screen insensitive to touch. I am guessing this is due to the multi touch limit being reached in that bottom unused part itself. Multi touch testing apps dont pick up touches on the top part of the screen
So my question is, is it possible to remove a part of the screen from the System itself? Ideally a thick black bar of unused area, leaving me with a shorter yet fully working screen? Or atleast is it possible to turn off touch response in that lower part of the screen so that it doesnt max out the multi touch limit?
My Nexus 4's is same too
I think, that ghost touch will work from Screen Digitizer. My Nexus 4's screen digitizer was non-LG's digitizer, it was fake. I need to change that digitizer
I workaround this issue avoid using undervoling in the kernel, and avoid lower temperatures in phone, yes as you read ... this issue give my crazy when my phone was to hot and I tried to cold my phone using one ice cube in screen and back, the temperature of the phone down but ghost touches appears again, so played some videos to warm the phone again and dissapear again.
Don't ask me about how it works, or relation with screen, digitizer or battery, I don't understand but help me to workaround the issue.
Hello all!
I have a Zenfone 3 that stopped responding to any touch inputs. Rebooting didn't help. Volume and power buttons do work, but no touch input is working. The lock screen shows, but can not be swiped away. The phone is in otherwise pristine condition. It stayed in a phone case with a screen protector. There are no cracks or anything. It worked absolutely fine this morning, and towards the afternoon stopped.
Could this be a software issue? Is it likely the digitizer or the cable from the digitizer isn't working? Any ideas?
This happened to my phone. When I was browsing while I'm on bus. Then max pro m1 screen suddenly started flickering, then it's touch sense gone, then bigger lines started appearing. I'm thinking that screen backlit panel was damaged due to the Sunlight exposed on screen in the bus, (since i got my phone exposed to sunlight over 30 minutes).
& I thought that after battery 0% restarting phone may solve issue, but no. Screen was still flikering.
I got my phone rooted & i'm in custom rom. So obviously WARRANTY is void.
So, my suggestion to max pro m1 users... Plz... don't expose screen to Sunlight for more than 15 minutes.:crying:
If your screen is working fine in custom rom then its not a hardware fault...so no link b/w screen flicker and sunlight
