XTRONS D717AL Screen Problem - Android Head-Units

Hello XDA members,
I have been following XDA for almost a decade and now came my time to ask for a help.
I bought few months ago XTRONS D717AL. First of all, great player, awesome radio tuner. Catches many stations I couldn't with my old Audiovox and Clarion. It comes With Adroid 5.1.1 and Intel chip. Model number says: Full AOSP on Sofia. MCU Ver: HY_SFY170224EF.
But since day one I noticed a weird display actions. Radio starts right after I start the car engine, display pops-up and on random basis, sometimes the display lights up, sometimes not. It takes about 20sec to load the OS and apparently, the touch screen is working. I know where the Quick settings are, if I pull the top navigation panel down when the screen is in a working state. There is a Light button, which enlights or darkens the screen.
In a dark state (blank), if a pull the navigation panel down when the screen is dark and press the Screen button, screen enlights. I know approximately where this Light button is and pressing it screen enlights. That makes me think, that the screen darkness goes to value 0 at some point before even the OS load.
I have rear camera and DVR attached, but since I took everything away today except the ISO wiring harness, it makes me think that these AV in signals are not the issue. I even took away the reverse camera control cable, illumination cable, and GPS antenna. Brake In cable is fine attached.
Last week I tried to factory reset the unit – no luck.
Flashed with a firmware from the Xtrons tech support – no luck.
I recorded a video today which I uploaded on youtube (I can't post links yet, too young to do that )
Search "XTRONS D717AL Screen Problem".
If anybody ran into such a problem and a solution, will be much appreciated to share here.
Many thanks.
Edit: I just noticed, that upon switching off the radio, the dark display flashes for a half second on its way going in. Possible display cable issue?

I have never tried to go to recovery of this unit. But, I found another topic here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...button-combination-to-enter-recovery-t3391682
Regarding my problem, I returned the unit and it was replaced with a new one since it is still in warranty period.

Ownice C500 - Display blank when stopped / On only when moving

Weird issue here and I need help! And I think I may have somehow did this with settings but I've been through all the settings and can't find anything. Thinking of doing a reset tomorrow, but im scared to do that. If it doesn't fix the issue I may lose my mind.
Background:
I have had my OL-6666F about a week. After wiring it up in the car (a 2012 Sonata) the first few days were great everything was perfect. I didn't have a lot of time to mess with it beyond soldering everything up with a wiring harness. Thurs/Fri I had more time and played around with adding more apps, playing around with settings, and setting up the steering wheel controls. This is when the problem started.
Issue:
Any time my car is at a FULL stop the headunit screen goes blank. It's not off, it is on as I can see light but the screen is blank, all keys on the HU stop working, as well as the steering wheel controls. However, if I had the radio or iheartradio, or nav going... the sound will reduce but continue to play. I can't control the volume at all. The very second the car begins to move forward or backwards, the screen pops back to where ever it was. I even tried it with youtube today. Youtube would pause the video/sound instead of continue playing like the other apps. Soon as the app came back, I pressed play and it resumed like nothing happened. I've tried creeping forward, I've tried using neutral, and I've tried reverse. I've tried sitting with my foot off the brake and the car in neutral. Nothing happens until the car begins to move then bang its perfect again. Also today I turned the screen off by pressing the display knob which clearly turns the screen completely off. When I stopped the screen changed to the blank but on screen. When I began moving the screen went back to where it was before I turned off the display.
WTH could cause this? I cant think of any settings I changed which have anything to do with being stopped. How does it even know I am stopped!? GPS? I did not connect the "brake" wire to anything. It is covered in electrical tape.
I can take a video of this if needed. It happens every time I stop without fail.
Do you have a canbus harness adapter? Did you accidentally connect the reverse input on the radio to a parking brake/zero speed wire of the canbus adapter?
I do not have a canbus harness. I used a Scosche Radio Wiring Harness (021HY12B).
After yanking it back out a few minutes ago this is exactly what I did. I mapped the pink reverse wire from radio to the also pink "speed signal from vehicle" in the Scosche harness. WOW. I'm glad you replied cause it made me question myself. Works perfect now.
I'm going to be shaking my head at myself for a while.

Multiple issues with Joying JY-UL135N2

I have a JY-UL135N2 unit in a Toyota Fielder 2012. The screen of the unit was damaged during installation and I bought a new screen from Joying. The screen assembly was attached to the rear assembly with just one ribbon cable that came with the new screen.
Currently I have these issues:
1. Screen brightness control does not work.
2. The unit does not shut down when commanded by the nob or the pull-down from notification bar.
3. The unit stays on for 4/5 minutes after I have switched off the car and locked it.
My questions are:
1. Is the screen panel supposed to be connected via 2 ribbon cables? if yes where can I by the second cable.
2. Are the issues I mentioned normal or I'm the only one facing it.
3. Could there be any installation issue that is causing these problems?
The unit has been updated to the current software version and had been factory reset twice but the issues remain.

I don't have all the answers, but I can tell you mine frequently takes a similar time to shut down. I don't know if you need a cable but Digikey has a large variety of flex cables. Does it work to set screen brightness from the Settings screen instead of from the launcher?

I have recently unplugged the HU and plugged it in again... it has reduced the shutdown time to under a minute. From what I have learned from the Joying forum is that this unit like a few others comes with one single flex cable connecting the screen and the back end.
Screen brightness does not reduce, no matter what I do. It is always at full brightness.

Joying Sofia - Dead? Help

Hey everyone,
I'm experiencing an odd bootloop on my Joying Sofia unit. It started happening after I hit a small bump in the road- after I hit the bump, the unit went into the reverse camera screen, which is odd because I don't have a reverse camera hooked up; the signal is not connected to anything and was taped up. So I just saw a black screen with the yellow back-up camera lines. It stayed on this screen even after I restarted my car at a stop light. I had somewhere to be, so I turned my car off and left for an hour or so. When I returned, that's when the boot loop behavior began. Most of the time, midway through the splash screen, the unit will reboot- this happens several more times before it gets past the initial splash screen and moves to the animated android loading screen. After this screen, I get to the white "android is starting" box (my unit is running the GTX rom) and then the screen just turns black suddenly. What's odd is that I can still control the screen, and I can see the screen for a split-second as I hit the reset button on the front of the unit. Furthermore, it seems like my USB headers are not getting any power- my 5V fan doesn't spin when connected, and I don't see the read/write lights on my thumb drive when I connect it either.
I've tried to capture the behavior in this video. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated. I purchased my unit at the start of October in 2017, so I've just passed the two year warranty

Car stereo, temperamental black screen

Hi guys,. I own a a-sure 5.1.1 on a opel canbus. The past month I’ve had a temperamental black screen issue. It goes blank but touch still works. When it goes blank it takes a few days (engine starts) for it to come back on. Then it works fine for 5mins or a week,. It’s not been software updated since I’ve owned it (5yrs). Hard reset doesn’t solve the screen. But it has helped in the past.
I’m not to sure,. But I think my car heaters are encouraging the blank screen (heat)
I’ve stripped the stereo and rebuilt it (ribbons/wires).. put the stereo back in the car and the screen was still blank. I not used the car Sunday.. but today Monday the screen is working all day. I checked it on all work breaks.
Any suggestions?
First of all, your question is not related at all to Android Auto.
Second, it looks to me more as a hardware problem, like a loose contact of the display. I had a similar problem with a Blaupunkt car radio with a detachable panel. One day the lcd display went black and never came back, but the radio and all its functions continued to work fine.

Chinese Android Head Unit keep turning off/on

As described in the title, the last year i've bought a Chinese Android Head unit, already after a couple of days after buying it, the unit, after some drive, started tuning off and on repeatedly (just the screen and audio) and the only solution was turning off and on the car so that the unit would reboot. Surprisingly the issue stopped happening after a couple of times, my thoughts was that the system was trying to updated some drivers or something like that, but now after a year, the issue appeared again and after about 30/40 minutes the issue stopped, without rebooting the unit. Then the issue appeared again while on a trip, and even after 1 hour the issue was still there, and when i turned off the car, the unit didn't turn off as it should when removing the key from the ignition, but surprisingly, the issue was gone! When i turned on the engine again, all the canbus functions where gone, opened doors, clima control info and other data from the car weren't showing anymore, but the issue was gone, also the touch buttons backlight wasn't turning on.
In order to turn off the unit, i have removed the fuse, when the unit rebooted again everything come back to normal. To better understand the issue, i attached a video.

Check your yellow, red, or black wire. I got a similar problem
I am having a similar problem. Mine turns off when you start the car. I checked the red and yellow but they both have power. Turned off it works great.
