Hi everyone,
I am wondering if anyone in the Bay Area would be willing to help me update my nook color so that it would be stable and able to run Netflix? It is rooted. When I charged it up and booted it up last week it was really slow and did not really want to do anything. I am near Berkeley and can meet at Peets or SB, if that is acceptable. I am not very techish. I would like to give this nc to a friend for use on her nordick trac machine so she can watch netflix while she exercises. Let me know please! Thanks!

Does anybody have any experience using Blueware spyware? A friend of mine bought this to keep tabs on her children. We have had a heck of a time getting it to work. She has a Samsung Impression. No luck with that phone at all. I have the HTC 6800 with Alltel service. I got it loaded and running but I can't figure out how to use it.

Working on a Solution!!!
HI freqflyer,
I'm currently working with a client at this time with a similar situation. She too has a HTC however not that much success on getting this app to run. Having midlet could not be initated |java.lang.noclassdefFOUNDERROR | Issues.
This is a vey new area for me but I'm going to better read on this software to see what is really behind what they claim for it to do. I will be quite interested to see this thing really work.
If there is anything that you may have for advice let me know.
Thanks!!!
I am looking for anyone who lives in Ottawa. I am currently lazy and un-sure about many of the processes with just about everything. I usually mess up a step or 2.
Wondering if anyone on this site is living in Ottawa and is willing to help me out in person, need to re-do my HTC Desire, and then work on my XOOM.
Thanks.
Hey guys and gals of XDA, I'm new. My name is Brandon, I have an LG G2. And I have some problems. My first problem is I have a D803. (canadian)
I will tell you guys in short what I want and would appreciate it GREATLY if ya'll could help me out.
1 ) Acquire noob guide to CustomROMing, recovering, and all that gibber gabber. I rooted my phone because it was extremely easy and debloated it using Titanium backup already. I literally have NO idea what i'm doing, I've tried to read through guides but I always get stumped considering i'm using a d803 and the backup program thing didn't recognize my phone.I'm not asking ya'll to sit here and pour all your knowledge to me, just a link would be cool. Although if someone wants to do that it'd be appreciated.
2 ) I want a Nexus5. But I want my G2, physically. lol. long story short I love the stock google feel of a nexus5, I've tried launchers but I can't find any ones that have transparent bars. So, instead i've stolen the nexus background and emulated the look as much as I can. I'm having a hard time finding any support for the d803 that has the Nexus 5 look , Hoping ya'll can help me on that. I found a Paranoid Android one but I don't know how to actually get it onto my device so I gave up.
3 ) More of a question; If I succeed in custom rom'ing my phone, do I lose all 'normal' G2 functions? As in Quickmemo, Slide aside, Knock on, etc? Quickmemo is extremely important for me as a tech salesman being able to write down SKUs real quick and not all over my hands is awesome. But I would be willing to part with it. Knockon, not so much.
More info that may or may not be relevant:
>D803
>Debloated using titanium backup
>Rooted
>32gb black
>access to a computer
So, in closing, I guess i'll sum this post up in a word. Sorry. I seen the intro video to XDA and about how im the devil if I ask a question that's been asked before, and I know this probably has. But it doesn't have the info i'm looking for. Anyone who can just throw me some links in one consolidated place so I have a set starting point, information and a goal, gets a gold star from me.
Thank you for listening to me. Appreciate any and all help in advance.

^^ I've noticed the 4.4 roms are advancing at a nice pace for the G2, give it some time.. I tried some of the earlier 4.4 builds that I couldn't deal with the instability, but I've been running one of the later ones for the last week with very very few issues, so the best of both worlds is hopefully, rapidly approaching.
Hey guys!
I'm new to all of this, you could probably call me a noob when it comes to programming or modifying stuff. Recently, I've been thinking about whether or not to root my phone, and one of my main reason is because, I simply don't know what to do with it after I root the phone. It would be nice if you guys could walk me through and give me some tips.
As of right now, my phone is unrooted, or so I think. I read that you can download MIUI without rooting your phone, so I downloaded it from the PlayStore, and it's working great. However, I have heard something about it draining battery life and that you were supposed to wipe or reset battery when installing new ROM, which obviously I did not do. Is it too late to do it now?
I forgot to mention, but I am a Mac user.
Thanks

Hi,
Rule ONE: if you do not know what for you shall root phone - do NOT do this.
Furthermore: you have heard something, and you want to make the based on this rumor action. OK. I have heard that big, badass asteroid is coming, I have heard that winter is coming, but I am not building a spaceship to escape, and I am not cutting near forest to colled wood for my fireplace (yet).
Have you experienced the battery drain? If not - do nothing.
and now, we are on the rule TWO: if something works, do NOT fix it.
I got this from someone off Craigslist tonight after my N7 2013 died on me the other day. Got a great deal on it, but it's from AT&T, and I have no intention of using mobile data on it. The giant SIM notification telling me it's missing, and the reception bar with a huge X are really starting to annoy me. Is there any way to get rid of this? Or better yet, is it possible to install the firmware from the WiFi-only version instead, or will that make it start melting? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Also, wow, I didn't think I'd be able to notice the comparatively low-res screen, but it's super noticeable!
